“We had everything veg here and all vegetarian sushi rolls.
Except Sherlock Sushi everything was amazing and very different. I personally would not prefer cream cheese in my sushi hence Sherlock rolls were not tht great.

Must try mango sriracha rolls! 5/5

“This is a good Japanese restaurant as the food is really good. We got the chicken teriyaki and shrimp tempura Bento box for lunch. Everything was cooked perfectly ! It's been a couple years since I've been here. We will be back !“

“I never review restaurants but if you are reading this, I’m really hungry right now….and just wanted to share to my food people, that Kyoto Palace Japanese Steakhouse is the best Japanese restaurant I still have ever been to and my favorite restaurant growing up as a kid… #1 miso soup and salad are just never the same anywhere else..the same chef Jose that would make roosters with the scrambled eggs still works there over 20 years later..If I had yelp or seriously reviewed restaurants I would 10/10 them for never changing a single thing about this place. Just sharing for my food friends keep scrolling if you don’t care about this post 🙂“

“Sushi heaven does a good job of offering a variety of sushi: sashimi, nigiri, maki, temaki, and tempura, miso and specialty rolls (like California), and the price is right. It's affordable and the quantities are satisfying. If you think of it like a traditional restaurant that you find in Japan - except you sit on chairs at tables instead of on a tatami mat at chabudi (low tables) - then you'll find it satisfying.“

“The sushi is so fresh it melts in your mouth. It’s so good. It’s a quaint almost hole in the wall type place but it’s clean and the people are friendly and attentive. It’s a definite must if you like sushi. Prices are reasonable and a tiny bit high on some dishes but it’s worth it. I will be going back again and I’m sure lots of times 😋“

“This sushi spot is down the street from my house and it's quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Granted I usually come in for lunch and order a bento box. I love the spicy chicken teriyaki, veggie tempura and California rolls. Their Chile. Matsu was good but I prefer the teriyaki. Their miso soup is tasty.

Restaurant is typical sushi restaurant size. They may accommodate larger parties with notice. The art on the wall is movies, action figures, and things of that nature

I haven't tried too much outside of that so I will have to order more when I go next time. I want to order specialty rolls. Will update the review after the fact.“

The chefs were excellent, the seafood quality was extremely fresh, and they had items directly from Japan (such as uni from Hokkaido).

It was worth every penny, there was no downside except once you leave you’re still in California instead of Tokyo.“

“This is a new, really nice casual spot for sushi and other everyday Japanese dishes, with a clear menu that covers most of the classics: sushi, rolls, rice bowls, and sides. Prices are reasonable, nothing too fancy, and everything tastes fresh.

Since they just opened and only have a couple of people working, service can be a bit slow when several parties arrive at the same time, but you can tell they are putting in effort and trying their best.

I am really happy to have a simple sushi place like this nearby and will definitely be coming back soon.“

“Enjoyed my quick lunch to Bay Sushi. I finally had time to go during their special hours. Pretty packed but seated fast. Miso was so yum, I love how they make it; broth wasn’t too watery and was the perfect temp to slurp it down. Served quickly with my lunch bento. Tempura was crunchy and the dipping sauce made it savory. Gyoza was crisp and the filling was yum. Great price and wonderful service.“

Pick up was super easy--they had set up tables with lots of space in between orders and room for social distancing. “I've been coming to Ariake since it opened back on Stevens Creek and Lawrence when I was some of the chefs moved over from Miaki's. Their California rolls have always been the best.
