“Went for a club meeting on a beautiful sunny day. The outside patio is a comfortable place to watch golfers and enjoy the scenery. The food was well cooked including the vegetables that were not overdone, and the service was efficient and unobtrusive.“

“Brophy Bros. was an outstanding experience. I sat at the bar overlooking the harbor and met Michael, the bartender, who told me this has been his “office” for the past 27 years. And what an office it is. From my seat, I was looking out at boats docked in the harbor, the waterway, and the beautiful Santa Barbara mountains in the distance. I’ve traveled to many places around the world, and this is by far one of the best “offices” I’ve ever visited. Michael made the experience even better with great conversation and hospitality. I originally came hoping to try the clam chowder, but learned that it contains bacon, which I don’t eat, so I went with the fish and chips instead. They were very good.

Great food, a memorable bartender, and one incredible view. Brophy Bros. is definitely a place I’ll return to when I’m back in Santa Barbara and looking forward to seeing Michael in his office again“

“Probably one of the best places to go if you’re craving fish. Every piece of fish is infused with butter, so everything is incredibly rich and flavorful. That said, I wouldn’t bother with the daily specials — honestly, I think the fish on the regular menu is cheaper and more classic.

The sides are somehow even better than the fish itself. And you absolutely have to try the grilled oysters. They were phenomenal — genuinely the best oysters I’ve ever had in my life.

The one downside is that the drinks are not very good.

As for the service, it really depends on your luck. I’ve had some absolutely wonderful servers who took the time to walk us through the dessert menu and recommend different fish. But I’ve also encountered servers who are noticeably ruder to nonwhite customers. So, the experience can be very hit or miss.“

“Poke House is a great spot for fresh, flavorful poke bowls with plenty of tasty options to customize your meal. The ingredients taste fresh, the portions are satisfying, and the variety of toppings and sauces makes every bowl unique. “The pan-seared peppercorn-crusted filet mignon with potatoes au gratin and sautéed asparagus were as good as I've had anywhere. Thick, small and perfectly cooked medium-rare. And the thinly-sliced tomato salad was the perfect starter. We brought our own wine, but their in-house selection is outstanding. The staff were all extremely courteous and helpful. Our waiter, Dominic, was professional and attentive, and we never felt rushed. We enjoyed a two and a half hour anniversary dinner in a lovely outdoor setting and will definitely revisit when we're back in Santa Barbara! Thanks to everyone at Bouchon for a very special evening.“

“What a treat! This restaurant was conveniently located near our hotel, and we’re so glad we stopped by. The pistachio-crusted salmon was absolutely amazing—cooked to perfection and now my favorite type of crusted fish!

My husband had the smashburger and really enjoyed it. Just a heads-up: the burger doesn’t come with a side, so be sure to order one.

Their happy hour drinks were fantastic—strong margaritas and great deals! Our waiter was awesome, and the service overall was excellent. Bonus points for being super dog-friendly—they even have a dog menu! Highly recommend this spot for a great meal and atmosphere!“

“Came here with my boyfriend on a whim, searching for a cup of coffee in the late afternoon. Decided to grab a meal and we were incredibly impressed. The BBQ Pulled Pork was the perfect balance of sauce and meat, not too much, not too little. The fries were also perfectly well done, a sharp crisp which we enjoyed. My boyfriend ordered the Pastrami, and not a single bite was left. The bread had a touch of rosemary which gave it an unexpected freshness. By the way, per my BF, this is the BEST RANCH he’s had in a few years. 10/10 meal and place. Definitely coming back.“

“There are a LOT of options at the deli that are filling- my favorite is the box of an entree + 2 sides. They usually have 3-4 vegan entrees (one tofu, a couple faux meats, there was a vegan spanakopita when I went) and 3-4 vegan sides available (fingerling potatoes, sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, etc). This box is only 9$! I love that they don't upcharge for vegan options (buying animal meat costs 3 extra dollars!) like most other places do. The grocery store itself also has a wide array of vegan foods you might not come by elsewhere, despite it being pricier. The sandwiches are also great, filling, and flavorful. I enjoyed the smoky TTLA; there was a super delicious and flavorful vegan garlic aioli on it. I haven't tried the pizza at this specific location but pizza from whole foods has generally been pretty good and you can veganize any of them although it'll be a bit of a wait. Generally, the food is really yummy and well-priced for a filling vegan meal, as well as quick and easy if you're not waiting on a pizza.“

The clam chowder is delicious, the crispy Harbor rice melts in your mouth and the local halibut and filet mignon were amazing. The dining room and new bar are beautiful and the ocean views from every table are breathtaking. We’ve enjoyed private events and special dinners here.
