“Came here on a Wednesday and was lucky to be seated for drinks by the hostess. It was my second time here. And I always enjoy the drink and dark ambiance. Mixologist are super helpful. Definitely will be back to try food. Very small place, so reservations on weekends are probably best.“
“Not the cleanest place or the friendliest service the night I came in. They keep it toasty in here, and there is only one restroom per gender that single person locks. Waited over 1 hour for the restroom and had to go elsewhere to pee. Didn't try the food or drinks. I'm not a big pool fan anyway, but if you are, this place is great! Just use the restroom before you get here.“
“Impressive looks from the outside, very trendy and upscale. Inside is quite nice with great vibe and the grand showcase was the bar and TVs with sport. Very nice and big. Plenty of seating and 2 private rooms if you want privacy or big party. The venue has it own parking lot and it has a lot of spaces, plus there is/are street parking nearby with both paid and not pay. Service is friendly and nice but can be slow sometimes since our waitress was covering about 7-8 table with party of 4+. We’re the least of them all, only 3 people. Menu was easy and with plenty of choices from cold to hot dishes, from varies of meats to veggies and seafoods plus desserts. But once you order, it takes awhile for each dish to come…our 1st dish took about 15-18mins then 5-8mins for next dish. For some reason, our beef chow fun took about 30mins to it to arrived. By then, we’re almost done with others…we tasted and have it to go. Also, I asked for chilli sauce to one of the helper, she told that I have to ask our waitress, which was taking order from 3 differ tables. By the time she came by, I requested plus ordered another cocktail, then she went on to take order to another table. Then 6mins later, I got the chilli. Foods wise, not bad at all, the frog legs while delish but doesn’t taste any lemongrass at all. The eggplants are quite unique and quite enjoyable. The chow fun and the sweet & sour pork are good and just nothing special about it. The drinks are the best from my pov. All meal was about $135 w/o tip total. Worth it? Somewhat, but I’m sure there are other dishes will be a delightful. Will come back if we’re in the area to give it another try.“

“I don’t know how ‘hidden’ of a gem this is - but it is a gem. Such a unique place seeing as the only other one in the world is in London. Food is stellar and there are both British and American options on the menu. The display of motorcycles creates a fun atmosphere. There is a shop, barber, tattoo parlour, and display room for motorcycles as well as many other places to hang out here. Must visit if you are an auto or motorcycle enthusiast while in LA“

“Super cute spot with tasty food and a karaoke bar upstairs. The inside is a lot nicer which surprised me cause of the neighborhood but definitely enjoyed it. The mentaiko pasta was delicious along with the salmon crispy rice. The curry crispy rice was very spicy.“

“La Fe’s On’ry menu is one of the most exciting dining experiences we had lately. It’s the kind of spot where every dish feels intentional ... bold flavors, thoughtful textures, and a touch of surprise. If you’re someone who likes to explore beyond the usual, this is absolutely the menu to go for.
What We Ordered & Loved:
Bread Service
Don’t skip this. The cultured butter comes whipped into silky ribbons, sprinkled with smoked salt, and served with warm bread. It looks simple but the flavor is next-level. The butter is so good you’ll probably want to finish every last smear. The chef made a mango jam and it goes so well!
Deviled Blue Crabs
One of the most eye-catching presentations of the night....served inside actual crab shells over rock salt. The filling is smoky, savory, and layered with richness from the tomato butter and a lift of Meyer lemon. It’s indulgent but balanced, and definitely a conversation starter at the table.
Kanpachi Crudo
This was one of my personal favorites. Fresh kanpachi paired with radish, cucumber, mushrooms, and a touch of chili heat. The bee pollen kosho and chamomile oil give it a delicate, floral note that makes it stand out from the usual crudos. Bright, clean, and perfect to share.
Tea Leaf Salad
Easily the most surprising dish. It comes loaded with herbs, crunchy shallots, toasted nuts, tomatoes, and romaine. Every bite is different.. crunchy, tangy, fresh, with that slight umami depth from the tea leaves. If you like texture, this is the dish to order.
Mussel and Potato
A heartier plate that’s still elegant. Mussels in a silky sake lees broth, paired with tiny potatoes that soak up all the flavor. The broth itself is so good you’ll want bread on the side just to scoop it all up.
Cherries and Cream
Dessert here is not an afterthought. What looks rustic turns out to be layered and complex — cherries with cream, brown butter crumble, hibiscus, and even fresh herbs to cut through the sweetness. It’s creamy, crunchy, tart, and fresh all at once. A perfect ending.
A final thoughts....
Service is warm and unpretentious — the staff clearly knows the menu well and seems genuinely excited to walk you through it. Dishes come out thoughtfully paced, and the presentation strikes that perfect middle ground between rustic and refined.
Insider Tips
Start with the bread service — it sets the tone and the butter is unforgettable.
The deviled blue crabs are a must if you want something show-stopping.
Save room for dessert — the cherries and cream will surprise you in the best way.
Portions are made for sharing — come with at least 2–3 people so you can try more plates.
Don’t overlook the tea leaf salad — it’s easily one of the most unique and refreshing dishes ...
Also the menu changes so its an adventure...“

“This is one of those places where when no one knows what to do, come here. It never dissappoints. Came here late friday, had delicious drink that, although served in one of those fashionable tiny glasses, actually took me 30+ min to drink because it was hot and spicy in the best way-you actually HAD to sip it. Thank you, Wolves, for finally giving me a tiny glass cocktail I felt was worth the money. Oh, and what everyone else says about the ambiance-awesome-and you don't feel clausterphobic, even if it is busy because of the high ceilings.“
“The Angeleno Spritz was just what I needed after a long day of minor disappointments, that and the genuine smile from the tattooed guy working the bar this evening who was refreshingly upbeat and worked the room like a pro. So glad I stopped in!“

“Was super happy with our dinner at Hippo. Every dish was delicious. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower starters had excellent flavors. All the pastas we tried had incredible depth of flavor without being overly heavy or greasy. The hippo rolls and table focaccia were excellent and the chicken thighs were to die for. Only thing that was lackluster was the passion fruit gelato. Fun vibe, lots of seating, and great service!“

“Amazing food. Plate licking sauces, organic, locally sourced food. Korean fusion. Did I mention organic pickled everything. Enzyme rich food. Beyond healthy. Humble little hope in the wall run by a husband and wife team. Dude went to Korea to study with the most famous vegan nun chef in Korea. A must go to for anyone who loves food and especially loves fusion with organic and very well priced. He should charge Much more but they don’t.“

“Went here on a Sunday afternoon (LSOB). Not too busy and parking on the street isn't hard to find.
Im from out of town, but I've been coming here for years whenever I'm in town. Always a great selection of breweries from HPB, Green Cheek, Santa Adarius, Occidental, etc. Can and bottle selections are solid. The workers there are very nice. Dim-lit, dive bar interior vibe with a small outdoor patio with darts, ping pong and board games.
Overall, one of the top taprooms to visit in the greater L.A. area for craft beer. They offer 16, 10 ounce and flights, so you'll get to try a little of everything. Definitely worth a stop.“

“This place is always packed, even on weeknights. It’s a testament to the beverages and service. Drinks menu rotates so there’s always something new and interesting to try. You can also always get a classic cocktail as well. Beer and wine are also served here. There is a regular food menu with larger portions from opening until about 9 or 10 pm when they switch to their late-night menu which consists of small plates to pick at. Theres plenty of heat lamps outside for when it’s cold you can still sit comfortably during the winter.“

However, there will be no coffee after 13:00 :((
I couldn't get a second drink because it was just before 1pm. However, it was a restaurant where you could relax and relax before the game at Dodger Stadium (^^)“

“It's one of my favorite spots for a drink and tacos! The food is delicious. I have gotten the al pastor shrimp tacos, and my friend gets the short rib tacos. We love them! Love the ambiance, and the service is always great. Look forward to coming back every time. Street parking can be tough, but it's not a bad little walk if you have to park a bit further. Nice neighborhood.“

“Crazy space. The Slipper Clutch doesn't have any outdoor signage, the bar exists behind another space that you walk through to get to it. You can sort of see the interior sign from the street if you look. The guy bouncing the place next door seemed really used to answering the question of Where is the slipper clutch!
Inside there are like three or four bar areas with totally different vibes. The first area is more high class, fancy night bar. Through the door is another bar that's more punk rock, has arcade games and pool tables. It's kinda small but decent. They have a back patio too. The patio door was open all night so the place smelled of smoke from the outdoor smokers. If you keep going and go upstairs, you'll find the venue area with yet another bar. The music up there stays loud as heck so it kind of always sounds like a band is playing even when it's just the interstitial music. For the show I went to, bands didn't start playing until almost an hour and a half after the listed time, so definitely don't come early if you're just coming to rock. Tickets were cash only at the door, but it was only $7 - prices we ain't seen in decades! The music space itself is pretty decent, the stage is kinda small but it gets the job done. The room is pretty spacious and there was plenty of room for a bunch of people but also room to get away from the wild ones if you needed. There's also a very tiny upstairs patio (more like a ledge) but good to get some air. Pretty decent overall experience. I don't think they had food there but I didn't really look. Didn't see anybody eating anything tho! There are only two tables, outside on the patio. Otherwise it's bar or standing. Definitely not wheelchair accessible.“

“The Library Bar is the perfect drink spot in DTLA. They have some small bites (the chips and French Onion Dip were 10/10 no notes). And they make craft cocktails as well as any classics. I believe they may have music on the weekends but either way if you’re in the area it’s a solid place to grab a drink and hang out.“

“NIKU X delivers an impressive seafood & A5 wagyu steak buffet. The quality of the meats and seafood is top notch. The wagyu is tender and rich, and the seafood bar has good variety. The decor is stylish and the service attentive.
A few drawbacks: some items are a bit slow to be replenished, and the price is steep but for a special occasion it’s worth it.“
