“Ooooooooweeeee... man, this place is awesome and delicious. Came here before all the Instagram and TikTok hype so there wasn't too much of a long line, but now the lines are too long!! However, I still recommend. Their chocolate croissants are sooooo good. For those who want savory, I recommend the Pesto? pastry. A little tip for the pastries at CAR, eat it right away. As time passes, the crunchiness of the pastry does decrease.“

The taste reminded me a lot of In N Out just with a more hardy bread. I only ate half so thought it was very filling. At $16 it felt pricey but since I took half home I didn't mind!! Criss Cut Fries - this was your typical fry, I enjoyed them but wouldn't get again for $6. Black Sesame Bev - This had a really unique flavor profile but ultimately was just too sweet for me. I'm glad I tried it but would get something stronger next time! I'd like to go back and try a different sandwich! “This is actually a review for Homegirl's catering service: I hired Homegirl to cater my book launch at the University of Southern California. Nadine was super easy to work with in planning out the kinds of foods I wanted for my event. Abel did an excellent job finding our venue and setting up a delicious spread. I got turkey sandwiches, roast beef sandwiches, and vegan sandwiches. Everything was delicious on fresh bread baked by Homegirl. We also had agua frescas, hummus, and salad. The hummus was actually so popular that I barely got to try any. My guests ate it all! Note to self: order extra hummus next time. Putting on an event is time consuming and stressful, but Homegirl made the food portion of my event easier to manage. I highly recommend them. They will be at the top of my list for future catering events.“

“So excited and proud Sugarbird finally has a storefront. My family and I have followed Chef & Owner Kei since it first started and only had regular priority mail delivery and pickup from a co-op location in Downtown LA. I stopped by after the Montrose Farmers Market, where Sugarbird was before and I believe still is for other Farmers Markets, and Kei herself was managing the store. She was nice and really excited to finally have her own storefront. I got a free tea, free clotted cream, the tea sandwich set, six scones (ube, lemon blueberry, matcha, fig & rosemary, passionfruit & earl grey) and shortbread cookies.“

The floral and berry flavors worked nicely with the coffee but the sakura flavor wasn’t super strong. “I have accidentally found the greatest toast in all of America. I was here to meet some friends for an event and thought I’d pop in for a quick bite. I ordered the avocado toast thinking it would be an unremarkable snack. Have you ever experienced something so above and beyond expectation you wonder if you’re on a hidden camera show? This toast is that good. Toppings were fresh, seasoning was on point, and the toast was perfectly soft but toasty. Also ordered the Michelle Wi which lemonade and black tea. “I was in the area for work and a coworker actually recommended this place to me! It seems to be one of those trusty college delis that suddenly appeared one day and permanently becomes student lore. Inside, I found a quant mini-market stocked with a bunch of snacks, drinks, and the counter for ordering. The worker (i forgot his name!) helped us immediately, and I ordered the pastrami. I sat outside, where there were plenty of tables with shade! The worker brought out the sandwich to us, and I thought it was huge! The price seemed a bit high for ne, but that wasn't too big of a concern since the sandwich was jam packed with meat and kraut. The flavor wasn't too salty for me, and had the right amount of flavor with the bread. This was a great spot, and I'll have to stop by again.“

“Come here all the time. Food portions are very generous and the coffee here is great. A bit on the strong side at times but you’re definitely getting your moneys worth. The breakfast burrito, crepe, French Toast combo, and of course their açaí bowls are my favorites. They make a pretty hearty breakfast sandwich as well.Because their portions are big, don’t come here expecting to pick up fast food. The service is not slow. These people work hard to get your food orders ready accurately but wait time for your meal could be anywhere from 10-18 minutes. But when I tell you it’s worth the wait, trust me. The ambience is calm and quiet, people mostly go there to study usually, have meetings, etc. the service was fairly fast, and the nice women that took our order was very sweet and considerate. It appears to be a maybe family owned, but it gave greek style vibes, still pretty cool. The food is more on the pricey side, but if you honestly need a place to study and get things done as far as work, this is a nice sophisticated little cafe .“

“Canyon Coffee literally shook my world. My brother and I were visiting from Florida, doing what we always do - in search of the BEST coffee shop experiences imagineable. “Ate here on a Saturday morning with my son. We both got pancakes shared some sausage, eggs, and french fries ( my son's request. He's 4) The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The server was nice and I could tell they didn't want to overwhelm her. As you saw in other reviews, this place has some funny rules. Since we were very hungry, once she came over to take our drink orders we were ready to get the kitchen started on our food. I started to place the order for our food and the server stopped me and said that another table that came in before us hasn't ordered yet. And that it would be fair to wait. I didn't like this at all but the other table placed their order immediately after so it wasn't too bad. I'm gonna wait until they fix some staffing and operations issues before I go back, even though the food was good.“

“Parking is a little challenging. The restaurant is on the corner of Jackson and another street I forget. There is a little lot but you have to come in from a different street-Not on Jackson. There are about 3 30 min parking spots right in front of the restaurant on another street which is your best bet. Inside they had a nice range of Armenian pasty and baked goods. We got a slice of the Birds Milk cake which was phenomenal. We also tried the mikado which was very interesting and good in its own way. No photos because we scoffed it down. “I have been a regular customer at Nice for at least five years. Getting my morning coffee here is always a treat, both for the impeccable coffee and for the customer service. The staff is warm, and the vibe is always light, even though they are working hard. They're located in a busy plaza in DTLA. They receive all kinds of customers and treat everyone well, and efficiently fulfill orders. I cannot speak more highly of Nice, the coffee, and the people that work there.“

“Absolutely amazing local restaurant. This place has amazing food for very good prices and the portions are quite large to boot. If you are able to eat more than your contemporaries then the portions per item (especially the burritos) will most definitely satisfy you. Average Food prices as of posting are between $12-$18, if i recall correctly. They have a decent size parking lot and the staff are very nice and friendly. This place is a definite must if you ever come down here if you have a hankering for wet burritos. The only drawback that I have noticed, and I never asked, is that there is no restrooms. At least from what I have noticed.Parking: Due to the popularity of this restaurant the parking lot may be full depending on the day and how busy it is. Aside from that, if you are lucky you will either be able to find street parking or be able to use of their many parking lot spaces.“

“I am sOooo happy I found this place. I have been searching for a Cherry Mocha for the longest time. The first time I had it was @Starbucks. They discontinued this drink. I am not a fan of mocha, so I never ordered a mocha since. When I browsed thru the photos for this place, I noticed a Cherry pistachio mocha. It got me wondering. I had to go try it out. To my surprise, it was 90% similar to the cherry mocha I had @SB years ago with an addition of pistachio in it. The Cherry Pistachio was a 10! I love it so much. I m still smiling right now thinking about it. I also got this green drink that I didn't know would cost $20!!!! I find it strange how this place only listed the price for their small. They do offer medium and large. My total for 2 drinks was about $24 with 10% discount. I was in shock, so I asked for the price of each drink. Still in shock right now. This is not Erewhon lol I will return for the Pistachio cherry. Also, I am looking forward to trying the other items. “This place is adorable! It's very small but we went during the day, so it moved rather quickly. Everything was pink and decorated really cute. Totally Instagram worthy. The parking sucks. But I guess that's anywhere in LA. But the restaurant is decorated so cute. Perfect spot for a brunch. We order the tacos and they were delicious. We also got the chips and salsa the sauces very flavorful. A little spicy, but nowhere near as spicy as the red and green sauce for the tacos. Ohhh those are hot lol. The service was great.
