“My awarding of four stars was done sometime ago. It sure wasn't a four-star experience this time. They had three employees there, two of whom were futsing around with one of the drink machines while the remaining employee tried her best to take care of everyone standing in line for sandwiches. She was rushing and rushing to try to keep the line moving, but it really was too much for one person to be expected to do. Finally, just as I got to the counter, one of the other two employees came to the sandwich counter to help. The worst thing, though, was the temperature. The restaurant was extremely hot and despite fans turning up on the very high ceiling, there was virtually no air movement. The thermostat on the wall showed 89°. It was a very uncomfortable environment for everyone, but especially the employees who were rushing around in that heat.“

“Great banh mi sandwich in Chinatown especially for the price ($6). I certainly would not have discovered it if it weren't for yelp, as the location is certainly no frills and small and easy to miss if you are not looking for it. Note that the place is cash only and there is no place to eat it, so don't plan on coming here if you wish to dine in.

Tip: Also not too far from the China Town Metro Station (A-Line) if you want to walk from there.“

“It's not the best banh mi around, but certainly the best price/quality ratio in Alhambra. The line can be long and you can order ahead (phone), but if you just drop by around noon. Expect a bit of a wait. The owner speaks English, Vietnamese and Cantonese, so walk in with no fear. Coffee is excellent here too.“

“First time here. I ordered the Steak chimichurri sandwich. It was delicious. Had lots of flavor. My kid had their pizza, and we're very happy with it as well. All in all it was good experience for my first time. Will definitely come back and try a different meal.“

“You will never get a sub quite as lovely as these. I don’t know why they’re so good, maybe fresh bread and fresh ingredients IDK but Turkey extra chili is my fave!! Mom loves Milanesa and the fried sides are YUMM too! I learned how to make my voice heard at the old little market. The big construction men at lunch time would be shouting out their orders. I was 11 years old and had to shout my order too!! Been a patron since 1982!!“

“This place is a hidden gem (to overuse a phrase) and it’s a nice departure from the street since it’s beneath a building along with a few other places. There’s a common seating area and it’s quiet enough for conversation. They only have a few items—sandwiches and a couple of salads—but they do them really well. And it’s a good value too. The salad I got was huge. I opted for adding chicken. Decision fatigue is real so I appreciated the few choices I had to consider on an empty stomach!“

“I stopped by Mike’s Deli in DTLA on my way to Union Station, and I’m glad I did! While the store itself isn’t flashy at all, they do produce some extremely good sandwiches.

The girl working at the counter was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered a Mike’s Deli #1, which is essentially a spicy version of a turkey avocado sandwich. The sandwich was super fresh and bursting with flavor.

Really, every aspect of this sandwich was memorable, and the meat-to-vegetable-to-bread ratio was on point. The bread was very fluffy and nice, too.

It’s an d-school, simple deli that doesn’t stand out cosmetically, but it’s clean, welcoming, and they pump out some top-tier deli sandwiches at reasonable prices.“

“*UPDATE* We relocated to Wisconsin and every time one of flys home a Mr. G's from here is an absolute must. My wife just brought me back a Mr. G's (she did it right and got everything on the side that wasn't meat and cheese) and it was still the best Sandwhich I've ever had. It's truly that good. This restaurant was just a 3 minite walk from 'The Westin Bonaventure Hotel'

I eat a Gluten free diet by choice and this place is heavenly for this. Their Vegetarian and vegan options ensure that they have choices for everyone.

The staff are friendly, and warms smiles makes you feel welcome.
I have to Tofu Sandwich. I dont know what dressings they put in there but it was complemented brilliantly.
They have natural juices, housemate lemonade and ice teas.

“This is one of the best Subway locations I’ve been to, and a big reason is the team that works here.

I come here for lunch almost every day and usually order the Peppercorn Ranch Chicken Protein Pockets. Since I’m in so often, the staff know what I’m getting and always keep things moving smoothly without ever making the experience feel rushed.

Brisada is always the first to welcome people with a warm greeting as soon as you walk in, which immediately makes the place feel inviting. Even when it gets busy, Brisada and Henry work incredibly well together and move through orders quickly while still staying friendly and attentive.

Today I also met Sam when he rang me up. He was very kind and had a big smile the entire time. You can tell the whole team works well together and takes pride in what they do.

I keep coming back not just because I enjoy the food, but because the staff here make it such a great place to stop for lunch. Brisada, Henry, Sam, and the rest of the team do a fantastic job.“

“I travel 3 miles to this Subway due to its friendly staff and safe environment. Parking is more convenient, and there's less traffic. Service is quick, and the food is enjoyable. The store is impeccably clean, rated 10/10, with a clean, password-protected restroom. Overall, I highly recommend this location for both dining in and takeout.“

However I have been disappointed with ALL of them except for the one in Pasadena. Always great service, the bread is always soft with great texture (not stale), plenty of meat. “This is one of those local gem mom and pop restaurants that everyone loves. Great sandwiches, great onion rings and good prices. The restaurant itself it a little dated and the owners say very little, but the food speaks for itself. I've been coming here since I was a kid and will continue coming until I no longer can.

“This is the 3rd Ike’s I have been to, and they always serve up quality, delicious sandwiches that are quick and convenient. Brought them on a road trip the next day and still tasty. The interior is very clean and staff very friendly. The wide selection means you can always try something new or just stick to whatever is your favorite. This location is in a very busy plaza so takes some time to find parking on Friday evenings.“

“My new go to place for banh mi! They're open until pretty late for a banh mi place, which I appreciated when I needed to grab some sandwiches at 8:30 pm for a late dinner.

They offer a buy 2 get 1 free deal for the round bread banh mi. One is $6.25 so when you order two and get one free, it comes out to be about $4 each. The sandwiches I've gotten so far (grilled pork and grilled beef) are the most stuffed I've seen in a round banh mi!

I couldn't leave without trying their egg rolls and pate chaud. They're $1.30 each or 3 pieces for $3.75. Solid egg rolls and pate chaud.

Parking in this supermarket plaza can be a little crazy. Park towards the side to avoid the traffic.“
