“Such a great dining experience. When Xfinity went out, I decided to visit the restaurant — best decision I’ve made all week. The new management team has really elevated things. Alexander and Bennette were amazing, guiding me through the new Japanese dishes and giving spot‑on suggestions for adult Japanese drinks. I honestly forgot how enjoyable dining out could be after COVID. We’re lucky to have this gem in Antelope.“

“Seoul 1979 was a great find. The service was quick, welcoming, and efficient, and the food tasted fresh and made with care.

I ordered the Bulgogi Cupbap and thoroughly enjoyed it. The beef was tender and flavorful, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the portion was satisfying without feeling overly heavy. The kimchi on the side was a nice added touch.

I can’t speak for the Japanese offerings, but based on the Korean food alone, I’d happily come back.“

“The staff are very friendly and professional. The food is delicious. I’ve never been unsatisfied with a dish I’ve ordered here, and we probably go once a month. The Lion King roll and Crazy Roll are personal favorites. The agedashi tofu and bbq albacore are also quite good! The restaurant doesn’t have the biggest footprint so it can get busy and a little loud during peak dinner hours. However, if you’re going for lunch or early dinner then it’s a very nice and relaxing place to be.“

I already trusted the SAKE brand from the location in Chico and I am happy to say that this place surpassed the service there and has become my new favorite sushi place in the Sacramento area. If you are looking for AYCE sushi where the rolls are fresh and they haven't been sitting out for who knows how long I would highly recommend you give this place a shot. “Solid food with a wide variety of menu items, casual vibe, and excellent service. Our waitress was so invested in our comfort the entire time. She was always refilling waters, getting us more napkins or small plates or ginger, and asking if we needed anything. A lot came steaming hot, not “too hot” but fresh hot! The price for four people was 120, in this economy not bad at all. Overall 10/10, and I can say one of the best japanese spots I’ve ever tried. “Delicious food! We shared the Chicken teriyaki bento plate and it was so much delicious fresh food. The terriyaki sauce was my favorite I’ve ever had. The chicken has a great char and the mushrooms in the teriyaki were a welcome surprise. The tempura was airy and light and had some fun additions like oyster mushrooms and kabocha squash. We also ordered two rolls, the Lion King and the So Fine. The fish was fresh and the sauces on top were amazing. We’re looking forward to coming back again soon.“

“Food is always so yummy! We love the Midori Ramen. It’s such a unique ramen with pesto in it and the flavor is so good! We also love the Fukumi Ramen. The pork belly has amazing flavor. Also, if you like spicy food, the spicy karaage is a must! We order two orders of it every time now because it’s so yummy. The restaurant is a little small so it’s better for smaller sized groups.“

“The fish is fresh and the rolls are bomb“

“A must try whole in the wall. Very authentic Japanese vibe and the food is very good! Dragon roll, one of the best roll we have ever had in the US. One piece of Nigiri here gives you twice as much fish and rice as most other places. We will go back for sure!“

“I recently dined at this restaurant and came away with a generally positive impression, though there is definitely room for improvement regarding their sushi portions. Right from the start, the overall atmosphere was great; the entire dining area was spotlessly clean, and the service was consistently good and welcoming.

For my meal, I decided to sample a couple of their signature sushi options. We ordered the Caterpillar roll and the Kamikaze roll. In terms of construction, both rolls suffered from a bit of an imbalance in their ingredients. The Caterpillar roll was filled mostly with cucumber, leaving only very small, sparse bits of eel inside. Similarly, the Kamikaze roll was packed with too much crunchy cucumber, which slightly overwhelmed the spicy tuna mix.

However, despite the rolls being skimped on fish and overloaded with vegetable filler, the quality of the food was still quite high. Every bite was remarkably fresh, clean, and tasty. The flavors are definitely there, and the kitchen clearly uses good components. If the chefs can balance out the ratios to include a bit more seafood and less cucumber, this place would easily earn a top rating from me.“

Unfortunately, the sushi and rolls were pretty average and not as flavorful as I expected. They weren’t terrible, but they definitely didn’t stand out and left me a bit disappointed. Maybe other items on the menu are better, but based on the sushi alone, I probably wouldn’t come back.“
