“Had the veggie bibimpab in hot stone pot combo with tofu soup with non meat broth. It also comes with generous sides of delicacies like kimchi, cucumbers, seaweed and more. Quite a feast! The service stands out as being very attentive and thorough. Would definitely come back. I hear that there are often lines out the door and I get why.“

“Food was great. Ordered some eel and it was the best damn eel I’ve ever had. Not that only that, but it was cooked so fresh that it was actively sizzling on the plate it was served to me on. Unfortunately for me, I was only in town from out of state to visit family so I know I’ll be thinking about that eel for years to come until I come back.“

“This was the most authentic Korean restaurant I’ve ever been in in California! The staff were so lovely, so friendly and it reminded me of my grandparents 💗 They were taking care of us so well and were trying to teach us how to eat the food we ordered. They watched us enjoy the food and it was just a very heartwarming meal.
This is what we ordered:
⭐️Boiled pork diced, soybean paste soup and a sorted vegetables $22.99: This was all so amazing. I was craving this so badly. The pork is cooked perfectly and love all the lettuce/perrila leaves/… that it come with. I of course made my wraps with their banchans as well and oml!!! They were the most authentic banchans I’ve never had!! It tasted differently from what I was use to, it more seasoned and all tasted so fresh
⭐️Spicy beef soup $19.99 : This has so much fillings, lots of vegetables and beef! My fiance loved it and it hit the spot after a night of drinking haha“

“Great spot for soondae lovers. The soondae hot pot comes loaded with pork belly, beef, intestines and veggies, and the broth gets richer as it cooks. I liked dipping the soondae in shrimp paste for extra flavor. Portions were generous and everything tasted fresh. Would definitely come back.“

“A friend recommended this spot since I’m a huge fan of Korean BBQ, and it did not disappoint. The meat quality was top-notch and everything tasted amazing. What really stood out, though, was the staff—they were incredibly friendly and made the whole experience even better. Great food, great vibes. I’ll definitely be back!“

“Hidden Gem, this place is HELLA slept on & needs more love. Food was great, Service was great and not rushed ?
Now for the atmosphere: Music was good, Vibes were cool. I would say the owners should give the Restaurant a mini makeover with the Walls and TVs / bathroom updated.
Besides that food is great here & in my opinion better then GEN kbbq ?“

“The family was in the mood for some Korean Chinese food and the place closer to my house was closed so we found this place. With good reviews we decided to try it. For those that grew up with Korean Chinese food, this place is just like what you remember from back in the day. They didn't try to modernize anything and just kept it as is, just like it's supposed to be. Everything was good and it tasted fresh. I usually don't order Mongolian beef as most times, the meat is very chewy, but it wasn't here. It was tender and flavored very nicely. We also ordered the Noodles with Black Bean Sauce Noodle aka Jajangmyeon. I liked it but it wasn't great. My family on the other hand thought that it was great. The Sweet & Sour pork and the Fried Shrimp with hot garlic sauce were crunchy despite us ordering to go. Their portion size was also good. I find most places charge more AND reduce the portion size but here, although the prices did increase, the portion size is still good. That's a big plus in my book. Overall, I would come back here again and would recommend it to others.“

“I know there are a lot of bad reviews for this place but my most recent visit was actually pretty good. We were seated immediately and we were constantly checked on by the staff to make sure we had everything we needed. The bulgogi which I don’t order all that much, was the standout here. We ordered five rounds of it and it was delicious! The beef belly and brisket was also quite good and they kept bringing us sides of kimchi and radish paper which was greatly appreciated. Honestly I have no complaints. The last time I came here was seven years ago and it was a horrible experience but I’m glad I gave them another chance.“

“All the side dishes and main menus here are hands-down the best among all Korean restaurants in Orange County.
The neat and heartfelt side dishes,
and the main dishes made without skimping on any ingredients, are all truly delicious.
Our family is sincerely a loyal regular at Hanmi Restaurant.“
