“We got here and were kindly and quickly seated by the staff. Then we met our waiter, Monse, and she was on point throughout our entire visit. We didn't want or need anything; she took the best care of us and helped us make some decisions from the menu. When the food arrived, it made its own statement of greatness. The plating and everything that hit the table was top-notch—some of the best BBQ and overall food I have had in a very long time. The portions were healthy and satisfying, and all the stuff is made from scratch. During this visit, we had a combination of different foods: breaded pork chops with homemade gravy, pulled pork sandwiches, steak, and an assortment of different sides. It was all pretty magical, even down to the dessert. Long story short, if you are into BBQ and home cooking that has withstood the test of time, I highly recommend checking this place out. You will not be disappointed.“

“Came here for happy hour and quick bite before the show we were heading to see in the LBC , atmosphere was great seating either outside or indoors was offered music was very cool playing while the Baseball game was on…overall loved the vibe staff very friendly and quickly seated us, so please if you like onion rings like I do their batter here is on point with an extremely good Crunchy Crispy you’ll enjoy just as I did with my BBQ chicken wings which where delicious my BFF had the Chicken strips which had the same batter as the Onion Rings so definitely if you like crispy then this is a great place to enjoy those and an ice cold beer or Margarita during Happy Hour! Great burger selections and draft beers and mixed drinks! Plenty of ?️ parking on side and street parking there’s also back parking. “Nice small family owned BBQ spot tucked away on a strip mall. Open for just a short amount of time but definitely worth it. Meats are sold by pound or half pound. Sides are pretty good. There are a few lunch benches inside and small parchment paper is given per guest for dine in. Very friendly family that will gladly answer any questions or help out anyway they can plenty of free parking outside including some handicap parking

Vegetarian options: Just sides but possibly not vegan. They are very nice if you want to call and ask specifically“

“Today I went to rodeo 39 in Garden Grove with some friends and I stumbled across Kra Z Kai's. It was my second time trying Laos barbecue. This place is a hidden gem for sure. Everything was the delicious. The ribs were marinated for 24 hours. The barbecue pork and the chicken were all marinated in the same sauce. The owner told me the service was fast and this whole ambience was nice some of the best food I've had in a long time next time I'm going to Garden Grove. I will come here again.“

This was my first time at Broken Spirits distillery. Came oodles of times at Portuguese Bend distillery so it the restaurant is similar yet different at the same time. Major differences for me: I feel like this is more of a BBQ based restaurant/distillery with all the meat on the menu. (Don't get me wrong, I love the meat!). We ordered and shared the 16 oz prime New York steak ($44.99) which also comes with two sides! This is a killer deal that I would def come back for. For sides we got broccolini and fried Brussels. ( Alone they're $7 side). TBH, I kind of enjoyed the sides a bit more than the entree itself, but both were great.

Cocktails were yummy too as they were about avg price for LA county at $14 each. Came fast and tasted great!

There is plenty of seating inside and service was great. Parking is close in the garage across the street if there is no street parking.

“This place is great and something I've been wanting to try for awhile and glad I didn't finally.

I had their barbacoa tacos guisados which was very tender and with cheese added. Their salsa bar added a lot to flavor to it and the barbacoa was very tender. Their chikali taco comes with beans and guacamole and I got it with carne asada. The asada was charred very well and seasoned very well also. The beans went well with it and were not soggy. The staff was very nice and helpful in describing what was available, popular, recommended and what they thought it should have.

There's some seating next to their shop which is convenient. Their agua frescas was very good also according to my friend. It was his favorite place so far when I took him the multiple taco joints in east LA.

“This spot is within a food hall and I love these setups because of the amount of food options available.

I ordered their bulgogi burrito with no rice along with their Korean spicy popcorn chicken. The burrito was phenomenal and one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. A bulgogi bowl but put into a wrap and the popcorn chicken was solid. Overall both items were delicious.

I’d definitely come back to try their other menu items and overall it was an excellent lunch!

“I found this new BBQ pop-up in Lakewood at the YMCA and I can’t say enough good things about it. From the kindness of the family that runs it, to the delicious food. Last week I had the 3 meat plate (I chose brisket, pork belly and chicken) which came with 2 sides and it was only $28! The brisket and pork belly were SO tender and juicy and had an amazing flavor! Earlier today I had the one meat plate with chicken, this coleslaw that is probably the best I’ve ever tasted, and their brisket chow mein. So good! Everything is homemade down to the sauces and they have things like burritos and Texas toast brisket grilled cheese. It’s called Axiom Kitchen. Husband, wife and kids and so kind…they made us feel so special. We haven’t had service like that in a long time. I know they are at the Lakewood YMCA on Sundays and I think Fridays and they are at another location on Thursday but I’m not sure where.“
