“Good quality of meat. Very nice service. You could enjoy little desert afterward“
“Yummy hotpot from here hits the spot, especially for late-night study breaks. Broth leans sour and spicy in a good way, heavy flavor, kind of addictive, like you just keep fishing for another bite. Fair price for students, portions decent, tbh works for my broke student budget. Good for one-person meals, I just ordered, ate while watching lectures, and it stayed warm. Delivery came on time, nothing spilled, packaging simple but solid. Night snack go-to in this college area, especially for heavy-flavor lovers and international students missing that kind of taste.“

“Not regarding the food but I’ve been here before and I came in person today because online it said that it was open on Tuesday but when I arrived in person, the sign said it was closed. I’m disappointed because I drove so far and was craving hotpot.“

“Hidden gem alert near USC! 🔥 $17.99 for a personal hot pot that’s actually huge. Tried the Signature Beef and Tomato Beef pots, both packed with meat and veggies—comes with rice AND glass noodles, so you’ll definitely leave full.
The skeletons are so good, especially the cumin lamb and charred cabbage. Crispy wings were a hit with the kids too.
Bonus: free parking, chill vibe with fun decor (shoutout to the 3-Body Problem fans!). Total win for students, families, and anyone craving affordable, flavorful Chinese food in DTLA.“

“Both employees were nice and patient, surprised there were only two workers though, they had to do a lot. The food was good, they explained that the creamy spicy base wasn’t really spicy, which I picked, and I liked it! The meat was good, decent atmosphere, not loud, no smoke from the cooking in your face as well, which I was surprised about because that normally happens in some shabu shabu restaurants.“

“The food at Wok Bar is a mixed bag. I had the lamb and beef skewers with rice; the flavor was good, but the meat was very dry. They definitely need to include a sauce or improve the marinade. Also, be aware of their seating policy you can’t eat skewers inside unless you order the big soup, so it's mostly a take go spot for skewer lovers. Good potential, but needs better food quality.“
“One of several new malatang places in the area, Bruin Bowl is not a large place, but they seem to have a solid selection of meats, veggies, noodles, and seafood despite their modest size. Both the bone broth and the chicken/fish maw soup bases are pretty tasty too. Excellent option if you're in the area.“

“If you’re looking for a dry hot pot place, you should check this place out. It’s very tasty, and I’ve been coming back many times. They also close very late, so you can get late-night snacks here to go. Valet parking only for $5 within 1 hour.“

“Definitely my top 5 favorite restaurant in Ktown!! The food is so good, probably because the selections here are always so fresh and so clean. It’s always a pleasant experience to dine in here. The people working here are also very kind and helpful.
Btw, if it matters to you, they have THE cleanest restroom I have ever seen in Ktown.“

“I ordered the SP D Combo with army stew, spicy chicken feet, corn cheese, and seaweed rice ball — everything was delicious! The flavors were rich and well-balanced. The spicy chicken feet at level 1 were just the right amount of heat for me — super flavorful without being overwhelming. Definitely a great spot for Korean comfort food. Highly recommend for late night meal.“

“Their food is so good I've been coming here since I was a kid now I get to bring my children. Some items when you order you wait for them to be made fresh and the wait time isn't bad. The Boba teas are good my daughter loves the Taro flavor. It's affordable and they provide a generous amount of food.“

“We had the lobster meatballs, egg custard buns, and pork and crab dumplings. The flavors and textures were so interesting and totally scrumptious. Everything was made fresh and brought out piping hot. We've travelled the U.S. extensively and are foodies, so let me tell you this place is a true authentic gem which should not be overlooked.“

“As soon as we walked into the restaurant, we knew we were in for a treat. The ambience and decor were amazing; super chic with little surprises here and there. The food was delicious! We had the sushi; a mix of rolls and nigiri. The hamachi tostada is a MUST. Portions were a little on the smaller side but that just meant we were able to try more from the menu. Also don't sleep on the seasonal drinks! Overall, loved our experience and will definitely be going back!“

“Mr. Rice has become one of me and my girlfriend’s favorite spots in West LA. The service is always excellent, and the staff takes care of you almost immediately after you walk in. Everyone is friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
The food is absolutely amazing and honestly reminds us so much of our time in Taiwan. The flavors feel authentic, comforting, and consistently delicious every single time we go. They also frequently give customers free specials and little extra deals, which always makes the experience even better.
Parking can be a little difficult since the entire block shares a parking garage that charges around $5 an hour, and the area definitely seems more catered toward UCLA students walking around. But despite that, the restaurant itself is 100% worth it.
Once I found out they delivered on Fantuan, it genuinely felt like heaven on earth. Highly, highly recommend Mr. Rice to anyone looking for amazing Chinese food and great service.“

“I’ve eaten here about 5 times now and easily is one of my favorite places to eat in LA! They offer all you can eat shabu for affordable prices in comparison to many other places, it’s about $28 a person but the selections are good and completely satisying, and even include sushi. The veggie/buffet bar also has delicious things, plus tasty sauces to go with your food. If you ever go do not fail to get the tom yum broth and sukiyaki sauce for your meats! It is insanely delicious and flavorful. Atmosphere is quiet and relaxing too :) Thank you Shabushi for the great service and eats!“

“Their wagyu beef is so delicious! I cannot believe how soft they are and flavor is unbelievable. My recommendation is sukiyaki, but shabu shabu is good for variety.“
