“Came here for the first time on a Sunday for brunch. I ordered the Salmon Tartine and it was very good but definitely needed a side of a lemon wedge. We ordered the Belgian waffle and unfortunately it came out hard and cold. If they fixed this and made the waffle a little softer and served it warm I would change the review to 5 stars. The coffee was really good. I got the Iced Caramel Latte with whole milk and I enjoyed it. The location is really nice. Very attentive staff. Love the decor. They got inside and outside seating. I would definitely return.“

“Been coming here for years and their menu has been great. Known for their Brisket Burritos, Fairfax egg sandwich and that Salmon Eggs Benedict on weekends that I have yet to find another establishment or restaurant with such a mouth watering hollandaise sauce. Regarding their coffee, its wonderful. Agreed their to go cups are a bit in the small size versus other coffee shops, but at least the coffee you get will leave you with a satisfying morning smile. One last good thing I appreciate are the familiar employees that have been there for years. Consistency in every aspect is found here.

But its not all perfect. I understand dogs are welcome, and I love dogs, its the owners that come in and start blocking the path to get to the order counter, who start conversations with other dog owners who create a barrier. Especially for those with an entitled mentality who will hardly to not budge to let you pass. This effects the experience to others, so maybe Commissary can continue to allow our friendly dogs to be apart of the atmosphere, but add and enforce some common sense rules for the experience of others and safety.

“Longtime fan of Half Baked here, four years and counting! Between our wedding cake a couple years ago, birthday cakes, cupcakes for holidays and just because, everything is delicious and the owners are so sweet and lovely. It’s become a place that just feels like home at this point. Highly recommend the Pink Lady flavor if you’re a strawberry lover. “My husband is a tennis player, so we love the Courtside Caffe at the Burbank Tennis Center. My fave is the Greek salad. My husband likes the pita pizza and burgers. The seasoning is wonderful. Today I had a “fried chicken sandwich” not fried or breaded., but grilled. Delicious! Their smoothies are yummy. And we’re sitting here watching people on two courts play, with a backdrop of the Verdugo Mountains. Gorgeous!“

“i ordered a matcha latte, wasn’t expecting great results but my drink was like sweetened milk more than anything lol. you’d think it was like honey dew. not bad, but just might’ve been like 5% matcha and 95% milk. didn’t have their food so i can’t speak on it. just expected a better bang for my buck 😔“

Understandably so, given our big party, it took close to about 45 mins wait until we were seated since we occupied about 4 square size tables. Everyone enjoyed their choice of menu selection. We ordered Biscuit Beignets (shareable), lobster omelette as well as a side order of loaded bacon- every bite just leaves you hanging for more. As far as noise level, it’s your traditional type of dine-in service restaurant. Great service from our server, she was very attentive after all the hustle and bustle! We decided to stay at Hotel Burbank during this quick weekend visit to make sure we can hit this place up at least 2x :D“

“I’ve gone to Rafo’s so many times and haven’t left a review. The chicken thigh sandwich is always so fresh, easy, and juicy. The chicken?! I’ve gotten it at least 5 times now. I had the chicken and beef lule plate once as well and the lule was also super tasty.“

“After seeing a photo of the Short Rib Scramble in the reviews, I knew that was exactly what I wanted and the reason I made the trip to Olive & Thyme. Before heading over, I called to ask about parking and was happy to learn they have a parking structure attached to the restaurant that validates, so make sure to bring your ticket.

The moment I walked in, the place felt lively and welcoming. You grab a menu at the entrance, order and pay at the counter, then find your own seat. Unfortunately, after waiting in line and making it to the register, I was told the Short Rib Scramble was a seasonal item and no longer available. I won’t lie, I was pretty disappointed.

Thankfully, the cashier quickly stepped in with a recommendation and suggested the Steak Breakfast Burrito. It ended up being a great call. The burrito was packed with juicy steak, bell peppers, and had the perfect crispy exterior that gave it a great texture without being overdone. Every bite was balanced and flavorful.

While I came for one dish and left with another, the friendly service, helpful staff, and delicious food made the experience worth it. I’ll definitely be back, and maybe one day I’ll finally get to try that famous Short Rib Scramble.“
