“Authentic Italian Bakery! How did I miss this place?! So unassuming, hole in the wall bakery tucked in the corner of a shopping plaza. The pictures speak for themselves. Delicious and authentic. Don't come here expecting American style pastries or sandwiches. It's amazing and the quality is there! I've been to Italy, husband is from France so his expectations are always high when it's an European bakery. He loved the Italian sandwich and Italian ham especially. As for the prices, it's on par with the quality, did I hear imported Italian flour?! Yes. Italian family owned bakery where you hear them speaking Italian? Yes. Our table was ready when we arrived, we were personally welcomed and as requested, our table was at the window with a fantastic Pacific Ocean view, topped off with a birthday greeting. “Solana Sumptuous falls into the top 3 cookie places in SD county for me; specifically because they make a mean oatmeal chocolate cookie (OAT-M-G). I was introduced to this place by a co-worker who brought in several dozen for us to try on a couple of occasions. Ive had a few different flavors like their Solana Beach, PB, the OG chocolate chip, sea salt caramel, churro, and the Trifecta (stuffed), but the oatmeal chocolate is still my favorite. Single cookies range from $3-$4.50 depending on which one you get, and definitely place an order ahead of time if you're getting more than a few to ensure they have what you want. The in-store service is good and there always seems to be a constant stream of people popping in for a treat.“

I ordered the turkey and avocado salad with steak (I like protein) which was absolutely delicious. The protein made it extra filling. The yogurt parfait is simple and delicious and comes in a big bowl with fresh fruit and housemade granola. I ordered the quiche but they forgot to put it in the oven so I had to take it to go cold since we didn't have time to wait for it. The gentleman was very apologetic and offered us a dessert item from their case of yummy looking desserts but I declined. Mistakes happen and the fact that he tried to make it right was all I needed and appreciated. The iced matcha latte was good. The Mayan Mocha was good if you like cinnamon and spices. I rarely get a medium since the value is usually in the large but even though I like a thin crust, the larges I saw looked a bit anemic. We went with medium. The crust was perfect! The meatballs were perfectly crisped and the ricotta was added after it was cooked so it maintained the creamy texture instead of hardening on the outside when it is cooked. Trust me here, this is my favorite pizza and pizza is one of my favorite foods. The sauce is also the exact acidity I'm looking for. The only downside to this place is how far it is from my house.“

I wanted gf, vegan, no processed sugar, and no refined oils in my desserts - that still tasted amazing. And Plantiful Kitchen deliver! Barbara was so kind and helpful with planning out my desserts, we even had a fun tasting with my family and maid of honor. She made the process so easy and exciting - and was always for responsive. She provided donuts, cookies, the cutest mini cheese cakes, and truffles. And every single one was delicious! The desserts were a highlight of the wedding, my guests couldn't stop talking about them that evening - and to this day they keep saying they were the best desserts they have ever had. Still love the place for its massive amount of options and lovely people.“

That same girl was treating me poorly was serving me today again. Other workers and owner is nice. But today again this same girl... I'm asking their other stuff, what is in it and what are they since I wanna try their all bakery. I just asked 1 item and she answered okay thank you, and then I asked something next to that. Her face expressions and her attitude which is making you feel very uncomfortable. You can read from her face that she hates you :) she didn't want to answer she was like "I'm sorry I don't hear you, it's the fan " or whatever she said I don't remember now. As soon as owner came out and was standing behind her, her all attitude completely changed. She started smiling and telling me have a great day etc. She made feel terrible asking questions for the purpose of trying their products. I wouldn't give tip to her, I wasn't giving whenever I see a bad attitude, but I left some tip today but not Because how she treated me, because their bars are super tasty and I love whatever I eat there. Owner probably knows who I'm, I gave so much detail for her to guess who I am. She has such a nice place and popular in here. The lattes were good but not great, the foam decor/art isn't their thing for sure. While not a must it's always a nice touch. Not sure I would come back for sure but in a crunch I wouldn't stay away.“

“Great place to get brick oven wood fired pizzas! Amazing selection and variety of options. Loved their appetizers as well - risotto balls with prosciutto and parmesan cheese, and fried ravioli with ricotta cheese. Their beer selection was great as well - a lot of nice local beer on draft. Loved the Choco porter :) and the dessert, butterscotch pudding, is to die for!!! If you are ever in the Encinitas area and love pizza do try, and you won't be disappointed!!!“

Fried squid as a starter is a hit. Gyoza was okey, could have a bit more crunch to it. Over all, really good place. Service is really good, even when it's loyd and very busy. One strange thing though, TV over the sushi bar showing basket ball... feels a little bit off...and makes it even more "busy"/stressful.“
