“This restaurant is clearly one of the most attractive place in the region. Whenever I come to this place I am exceedingly satisfied. They manage their very high standard service and the topmost level of meals they serve. You surely will enjoy this this restaurant. Highly recommended.“
“There's definitely a reason this place keeps coming up everywhere as number ones bartenders are nice with a touch of sass like you'd like at a dive bar, but it's elevated. The prices are pretty pricey, but for the love ingredients and originality of the cocktails I guess it's alright, but I'm not staying for more than two lol. We ordered 4 cocktails and two mocktails and it was about $100 so time to go home lol. They have yummy little snacks and overall we were happy with this new Long Beach spot.“
“Good food. We ordered the chicken Cesar salad, pepperoni pizza and truffle pizza. The first two were very delicious. The brie-truffle pizza was simply alright. But lets talk about that homemade giant cinnamon roll though …. I’d drive all the way there to satisfy that craving any day!The cappuccino was good too. First time in LA I found a decent capp, I usually order cappuccinos and end up with lattés !The location is perfect, overlooking the water. Would absolutely recommend.“
“Our waiter was friendly and fantastic. The venue itself is very cool. But cool in temperature too. The whole front of the place is open with no wall and we had to keep our jackets on the whole time. The food was very tasty and we loved the trio of guacamole. The filet tacos were too smokey flavored. We finished with the flan and it was amazing. Big enough to share!“
“The ambience of the restaurant is really nice and the staff were very friendly. Brian H was our waiter and he was very nice - since it was my first time at the restaurant he gave us some Pura Vita pins and stickers which was a nice surprise. I enjoyed all of the food we ordered and would come back and try more dishes.“
“I'm looking forward to my next stop at MB Post. I had a reservation for 3 at 7:15 on a Saturday night. We arrived a little early, checked in and waited at the bar for our table. The bar was crowded and the staff busy but our drink order was taken quickly. Cocktails were delicious, #Blessed will be my go-to here. It took a bit longer to get our drinks than we had anticipated. We waited for our table about 20 minutes beyond the time of our reservation and we had to circle back to the host to inquire how much longer before we would be seated. Our table was in the corner next to the kitchen and a service nook, loud and busy; next time I'll make a note to request a table away from the kitchen. It's a boisterous restaurant and the corner amplified the energy. We ordered the carrots, gnocchi, green beans and biscuits---all were incredibly delicious with the green beans being our favorite. Our server was prompt, courteous, food arrived without a long delay. We enjoyed Lola cab sauv with dinner. I gave the 4 stars for the service at the bar our need to check on our table. Overall a great experience and I will certainly be back.“
“Amazing, authentic, organic ingredients make a difference. I loved the Mexican food here better than if I was in Mexico.Every dish we ordered was amazing. Highly recommend the Queso fundido, quesadillas, must add a side of guacamole. I do not remember what I had to drink because I was so in love with the food. The service provided by our server Lisbeth was outstanding. If you go to this restaurant, ask for Lisbeth. The ambiance was great, it was turning to evening and the weather was unseasonably cold for this time of year in LA. Despite being seated outside, it was not an issue. The restaurant had heaters that made the atmosphere feel warm, and cozy.Whenever I visit LA., I will always dine here. Mexican food is my favorite.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options, review the menu and ask the Manager for confirmation to ensure you are satisfied.Parking: Parking is free at the restaurant“
“Love this very fun themed long beach bar! The special drinks are all very tasty and not simply variations on the standards. The bartenders know their stuff. And a great list of mocktails to include everyone in the fun! Live music is a plus!“
“I grew up in Long Beach so I know how hard it is to own & run a small business in our community, Chuckie Miller has provided a quaint n chill environment to enjoy a drink ? and enjoy a night out Where you can enjoy some music ? a great environment and they've also got some great food ? Damn Dizzle is whipping up some treats all can enjoy wether outback or at yhe LongBeachUnifried food truck!!! Been a few times and I'd recommend this spot to any and all that want to have a good time!! Bartender serves great drinks and staff is friendly as well!!Wheelchair accessibility: I'm in a chair & can't always get in or around places but This spots defined wheelchair friendly & accessible!!!“
“The three of us shared the brussels sprout salad, which was absolutely delicious the lobster lollipop appetizer the robins Island steak, the scallop, potatoes, country bread, and for dessert we decided to top it off with the milk chocolate crème brûlée service was great as was the presentation. Nice wine list, I'll be back again and may order the same thing!“
“Fantastic bar. Doesn’t even feel like a South Bay spot. The cocktails are amazing and these bartenders are true mixologists and clearly love what they do. Hako (hope I spelled that right) is absolutely awesome. He took time to teach us about how our drinks were made and made a few “dealers choice” cocktails that were out of this world. Definitely coming back!“
“fantastic nook in long beach. great food (pretty classic bar fare but done very well), great bar, great service. some nights with live music, atmosphere spot on. i'll definitely be back to explore the menu a little more and have the bar teach me a drink or two.“
“This restaurant is fabulous, from the stunning decor to the amazing food. We went for a birthday dinner and sat in the back dining room near the fire. Our server, Makayla, was top notch. We ordered food for the table including an incredible filet, ribeye, and the sea bass was over the top amazing. The owner, Alex, even came over and wished me happy birthday. The entire experience was a 10 out of 10. Highly recommend!“
“Arthur J has been the staple go-to restaurant for me and my husband everytime we celebrate a new promotion, new job, raise, etc. We always invite out another couple to dine with us to celebrate, and the past two times (including tonight) was a bit of a disappointment. We have always ordered the tomahawk steak the past 4-5 times we've dined here, and tonight it was so fatty that there were probably only 16 oz of edible meat... from a 40oz steak. I know the bone is included in the weight, but I really could not see this Tomahawk feeding two people. I wish I had taken a photo of the Tomahawk because I really couldn't believe how small it looked. One of the entire end pieces was pure fat. Literally maybe a tiny sliver of meat (think like the size of a dime) on a 3x3" piece of fat. I did a brief perusal of the Yelp photos of the Arthur J Tomahawk to check my recollection of previous versions of the Tomahawk we had and yeah, the piece we got tonight did not look like anything from the Yelp photos or from our previous experiences. I rarely update Yelp reviews, but tonight's experience was just such a steep, stark contrast to the first time we dined here so many years ago. The first time we dined here, we ordered the Tomahawk and the manager came out and said the chef overcooked it, so he was embarrassed and refused to serve it so he let us choose anything else on the menu for free. Our party was shocked, we hadn't asked for any freebies. But that experience has always stuck out because it showed us how much Arthur J valued the quality of their product and service. In stark contrast to that first experience, I just can't believe how far downhill the standards have gone. I never like to just completely overlook the good parts in a review so here's the good: service was friendly albeit slightly slow, sides were good- especially the beef fat fries. I also like being able to pay the check on my phone.“
“Great cocktails, excellent creative dishes, beautiful space. Has free parking across the street. Would be packed if it were in a fancier neighborhood or in LA. Hope more people in LB discover it!Vegetarian options: Definitely enough vegetarian options to get by, all quality.Parking: Street parking is usually tight, but there is reserved off street parking in a lot across the street that I've never seen full.“
“An old fashioned diner without the old fashioned prices and greasiness but you get what you pay for here at Nordstrom Bazille and that includes quality service and well executed dishes that satisfy those old fashioned cravings like the Tomato Basil Soup, Turkey/Bacon/Avocado Club and Fried Chicken Sandwich.......Yum!!'“
“What a hidden gem! Ample parking and a beautiful space. Who would've known there's a great spot in this business area? Service was awesome! And everyone was very friendlThe drink menu was so diverse and they even have large batch cocktails to go. The food menu has something for everyone. I liked that there was breakfast and pastries along with lunch items. We got two bloody Mary's, a cold brew, salad, soup, burger and sandwich. Which came out to about $80ish before tips. Everything was so good! I want to go back to try more.“
“This was a most delightful late lunch here today in great part due to the exceptionally hospitable and knowledgeable staff. The restaurant's interior is traditionally regal and cozy however we opted to eat in their spacious outside eating area on this beautiful afternoon. No regality was lost by being outside for we were in the care of Gilberto, our wonderful principle waiter. He understood our every need and pampered us like one seldom encounters in Long Beach. We began with an Old Sicilian cocktail. It's probably fortunate the photo didn't come out else I'd be shamelessly punning the caption, but most importantly it was delicious with quite a punch. The crab cake appetizer, also delicious, was followed by the best hamburger that I've ever had and that includes any produced from my kitchen (I consider that to be the highest praise). Bf gave me a taste and there is no question that I will be ordering this next time. For a special treat, Gilberto presented us with a beautiful crème brûlée. When requiring a flawless dining experience, this is perfection, They are Masters of their craft.“
“Very beautiful and cozy place! The audience is made up of more experienced people. On the day we visited there was a duo playing really cool folk music. The atmosphere was good, but it took a while for us to be served and pay the bill on the way out.“
“Very nice elegant restaurant I really loved the vibe and how once you enter you go up the stairs to a totally chill vibe with a view ! very discreet . The service was fast and the food was tasty and well cooked I came after walking out of Coastal up the street. The server at Radici was great and focused.“
“Loved this place when I lived in the Southbay and it continues to serve great food. We had an amazing meal. The steak was perfectly cooked. The fries were crispy and delicious. Can't go wrong with their pizzas, too. Can't wait to have an excuse to come back!“
“Food is pretty standard breakfast brunch fare. Good good but nothing extra special. The atmosphere is really really cute. Decor is fun and chic. Came here with a large group for a bridal brunch and everyone was late but the staff was super accommodating.“
“Tapizon Restaurant offers a delicious fusion of flavors, combining traditional dishes with innovative touches. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff are attentive. From the signature tapas to the mouth-watering main courses, each dish is expertly crafted and delicious. The menu caters to a range of dietary preferences, including vegetarian and gluten-free options. The wine selection perfectly complements the menu, enhancing the gastronomic experience. Chef Leo is truly exceptional, showing his talent and creativity in each dish. Whether you are looking for a romantic dinner or a casual meal with friends, the Tapizon Restaurant, led by Chef Leo, will certainly impress.“
“Reminded me of the old days The old fashion TV which was still working with old cartoons, push button phone, couch covers and appliances. Blast from the past. I can not wait to go back and try other food choices. Fresh squeezed orange juice Umm.“
“My partner and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries and the buffalo cauliflower which were both very good!We originally stopped in for the margarita’s. We heard they have some of the best in the area. We ordered the original lime margarita and the mango. Both were served fast and both were 10/10. We sat at the bar and was served by a really nice bartender who recommended a few bars for us to hop around to on a Sunday night.Bathrooms were squeaky clean, the back patio was super cute for a nice summer night.“
“Definitely a 5/5 experience overall. My wife and I ordered:- Mushroom Choriqueso: the chips it came with were freshly delicious. The size of the bowl the dip came in was just right. The dip was not too oily. Also came with a small salsa, though it needed something more solid in it.- Dos Gringas (al pastor tacos): the highlight were the tortillas - perfection! Lots of meat. Lots of delicious sauce though a bit too much- Mexican Kale Salad: I’d say this salad is more American than Mexican. For my wife this dish was perfect though for me it was too subtle, though still very good- El Verde mocktail - perfection & refreshing. Try it- Chef Jose’s flan with rompope - seriously the best flan ever. You can taste the alcohol from the rompope, which complements the flan. A serious must try!Our server was great, though they overall were grabbing our old dishes too quickly. The place has nice private booths.“
“Great ambiance, food, and service. Love the live music, and the bartenders are engaging and attentive. Also doesn’t hurt that they’re hot ;)Highly recommend their Espresso Martini - best I’ve had in LA -and that’s saying something.Parking: Parking across the street at lot.“
“This location has gone under numerous names and owners over the years but this incarnation is the best so far. Great beer options, well stocked bar, and a very good kitchen are all available to the visitor. I came by for lunch and ordered the cheese steak sandwich. It was AMAZING. They use truffle cheese, great bread, and the whole thing was delicious. Small pickle slice and pickled veggie garnish was a great touch. Service is solid and the place was not very crowded at noontime. Lots of live music and other stuff going on at night too.“
“This place . AMAZING. I absolutely recommend the iced Thai tea. This inside is gorgeous ! If you're looking for best entrée, GET THE GARLIC NOODLE SHRIMP. The drunken noodles is also great! For appetizers, we've gotten the crab rangoon and chicken wings. Let me just say .. GET THE CRAB RANGOON!! it's so delicious. Will come back again and bring more people. The service is nice. LOVE.“
“Such a pretty spot! I came here with a group on our last day in LB. the food was great and the cocktails were spectacular. I would def go for the fried rice and they brought out the spice rack which made the food even better. Service was great and we were able to have a quiet dinner upstairs. My group got a range of different food items all were unique and delicious. My crab fried rice was very good. I recommend the Mai tai and you must leave room for dessert they have an entire dessert menu!“
“My husband took me here to celebrate my birthday and he chose it because we were going to the Opera after to see La Traviata, so he wanted to make a theme night. The restaurant is small and quaint. They had live music. The decor is very simple, a bit rustic? But had some very pretty chandeliers. You must have reservations and must arrive on time. Our server was very polite and was quick at answering questions and making suggestions. I ordered the Chicken Milanese, and my husband had the Lasagna. Both were very delicious. We did not have any wine although it looked like they had a good selection and we opted for no dessert (good selection as well), as our meals were pretty good size. We both liked it and would go back. This restaurant has been open for 25 yrs.Parking: There is a public parking structure but it was a block away. Street parking is metered“
“I am so happy I came to this place! They had a nice happy Hour (till 7:00pm!!). I went on a Tuesday evening, and the restaurant was quiet, but it was great to get to talk with my friends without having to yell over music or anything. They have large TVs on, and the Dodger Game was on display by the bar area. We got the Michelada flight, and they were delicious. I thought we were going to need more, but the flight was enough for two to share, since we were not trying to get tipsy. The fries were good, had a lot of toppings. We ordered garlic fries and they brought out a different plate. It looked so appetizing, we didn't bother sending them back and just enjoyed them. My friend also ordered Fresas can Creme and they came in a cute martini glass. When I got my check, I was so relieved with the amount. They have a good size parking lot too. Im definitely going to come back. I don't know if it gets busy on the weekends but they have 90min. $20 Bottomless mimosas, so I would assume it does.“
“This club is amazing. It’s like being in your friends living room, or at a friends private party. The customers are real jazz aficionados, which makes for a very cool vibe. The service is laid-back so if you’re a New Yorker, you might be a little put off by the lack of hustle. But nonetheless, they are very attentive and friendly. It’s a great club. If you’re ever in LA I highly recommend going to this club if you love jazz. Hidden gem!“
“Came here on a recommendation. We wanted a place to eat and have a few cocktails. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outside patio has heaters. There were also several large groups. Our waitress was incredibly helpful. We had Brussel sprouts to start. Ordered the halibut and the seabass. The pistachio tiramisu wasn’t quite what we expected and didn’t finish it.“
“Such a cute and comfy sports bar ! Came during happy hour and the food did not disappoint ? from the wings to the sliders everything was delicious. Servers and everyone working there is so nice and welcoming and make the atmosphere in there very cheerful. Will definitely come back for the ribs and more ??“
“Before heading to visit 'Eclipsed Emporium' I was suggested by my wife to come and check out this place. She had seen it a few times driving by before. We came in for dinner and to our surprise they had pretty good Mexican food. Chips & salsas were homemade and delicious. She & I both had their Molé Burritos and our daughter had their Chicken Burrito.Drinks to accompany were Mango Margarita, Iced Tea, and Horchata. To end the meal we had their Churros & Horchata ice cream for dessert.Restaurant was clean, organized, their service was friendly & professional. Our waitress was above & beyond.Didn't remember her name, however she was very cute & bubbly. We would come back for their excellent service.“
“Staff lost track of us after seating but it was busy and not for too long. They more than made up for it with fantastic food, drinks and recommendations. Used to go to nicks on 2nd when we lived in long Beach. This fills the void and exceeds it.“
“This place was awesome. We were visiting the area and decided to stop in for lunch. We had tried to stop in on Saturday but it was packed. So, we on Monday afternoon to take a break from checking out used bookstores. There was only one other table occupied. Our waiter was being trained by another server and they were both great. The atmosphere was cozy, and the food was fantastic. My son said he wished we had one where we're from. I agreed. Definitely glad we stopped in.Dietary restrictions: They are gluten friendly. Be careful if you're gluten sensitive and can handle small amounts of cross contamination. I'm gluten sensitive due to auto-immune disease but I am generally okay with things in a shared fryer. I ordered the fries. Thankfully, our server informed us they toss their fries in flour before frying. That I cannot do. Burgers and sandwiches can be served on gluten free buns.“
“Been a fan of Lechugas since 2011. If you're a fan of Mexican Seafood, you need to visit Lechugas. The tostada mixta is my favorite.. Super tasty, solid portion and modestly priced at $8. Still had enough for a Mexican soda or fish taco.“
“I've been here a bunch, just realized I've still never written them a review, so fixing that finally. They are definitely a "neighborhood bar" first, cocktail bar second - it's a great chill vibe, the sort of place that's never too busy (at least when I've been there) and where the music is never too loud to be able to talk. Their bartenders are all great, and they have quality spirits and reasonably priced drinks. And they do *have* a cocktail list - but compared to, for instance, Wicked Wolf nearby, for similar prices, cocktails that aren't quite as complex or as exciting, necessarily, but they have all been great cocktails. I also particularly like that they have, at least at the moment, Buffalo Trace on hand, so I can put that in any whiskey cocktail for about the same price. On their current menu, I particularly liked the "Cameoi" (bourbon, basil, lemon, blueberry, hibiscus cider) and the "Conquistador" (corn vodka, frangelico, romepope custard liqueur - as-is, it's basically a drinkable dessert, which is great if you're looking for dessert, but it's also an easy drink to swap different spirits in - I've also tried off-menu versions with mezcal and with Buffalo Trace that were also great.) I have only actually gotten food here once, and it was a couple years ago - their flatbread was nothing I'd go out of my way for specifically, but it's definitely also something I'd be happy to order if I were hungry and I was here. That said, the *real* draw that keeps getting me to stop in here, is the live jazz they have every Saturday at 8 PM. The jazz trio that plays here is fantastic, so whenever I'm out that direction on Saturday in the evening (most likely because something's going on at Wicked Wolf), I also try to arrange to pop in here during the live jazz. Cocktails go great with live jazz, and they're a super talented jazz trio. (But it wouldn't be such a draw if they didn't *also* make great cocktails.)“
“Visited this spot after reading reviews on yelp and Google. The service and food did not disappoint. I went with my fiance for a Taco Tuesday outing. We had the provided chips and salsa while we waited for meals. The steak and shrimp fajitas came out sizzling and tasted very good. My fiance got adventurous and tried the crab enchiladas. She said it was alright but would have preferred a more traditional enchiladas because of the sauce. Portion sizes were pretty big too for the amount you paid, I was shocked when I saw the check. The server was nice and restaurant provided a good back drop for date night! Oh, let me not forget, that spicy margarita was damn good lol. I’d recommend this spot in a heart beat for those looking for Mexican food in the area.“
“I was there right when it opened and had the best experience, everything was perfect and definitely will be going again. For the first time everything about a place complimented everything the staff were super helpful, the food was amazing, the drinks were nice and cheap, and the atmosphere was phenomenal.“
“I can't believe I haven't written a review here yet! (Thought I did!) Anyway, first came here last year for my sister's friend/band member's birthday party! (Jordan) And some of his art work was displayed for sale. It was pretty fun! The DJ booth looks cool! The giant screen allowed them to play their new music video for their band called Wamdingis! (Check them out!) That night was lit! Thank you to the bar tenders & chef! The fried cheese curds were unforgettable! Came back here another time with a girlfriend because she was sad about her guy. Anyway, we ordered the tater tots (yummy!) & some seltzer drinks. I sang a song for Karaoke night on Sunday. We also ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and added bacon! Omg! So glad we split it! That was too good! Then we bar hopped a little before going home. Tonight, I was supposed to help my sister's band with merch at the Santa Ana art walk but they finished before I got there so I turned around and went home and Lyfted here. Ordered the garlic lemon pepper wings & cheese curds! Mmmm! So good! Highly recommended! The kitchen is open until 1 or 2am! Woohoo! So this is def a 2-in-1 spot! Parking sucks on the streets so just Lyft here! Maybe I'll see you guys around!“
“Went back to visit Alder & Sage this morning. I had the Classic Breakfast again. Super delicious and the Sangria beverage was very refreshing too. The vibe is always great here. The customer service by my waiter Jessica was excellent. She's probably one of the best hospitality people I've been privileged to serve in this Industry. I work in restaurants too so when I say she's the best I really mean it. This place always deserves 5 Stars. Thank-you again Alder & Sage.“
“Nice little pub that I could walk to from the Holiday Inn Express and was able to watch football there. They don't serve food but I stepped next door to Domino's and grabbed a pizza and brought it back over to eat. All good and I will return.“
“I come here specifically because of Kelly, Tony, and Nikita- they are the sweetest and most attentive bartenders EVER!! They make sure the vibe is welcoming and keep everything safe and on point. You dont find that everywhere dive bars always have a certain flow that youre either in or out- they make sure you will always want to come back.“
“It is a good bar, they have live music on the weekends, a pool table, there are three bars, a bar where you can watch sports, play billiards, and there are other games and popcorn, and in the other room, there are bands and another bar, and you can dance outside. They have some tables for those who want to go out say I like it because I can't stand the smell of ?Parking: There is always space“
“This is my neighborhood bar. I could literally walk here. So I come quite often. Happy Hour is pretty good. Unfortunately, they don't have a kitchen onsite but you can bring your own food or order and have it delivered; which is pretty cool. They also have free pool tables and a juke box for your listening pleasure. My only gripe is there is one bar tender (shorter guy, with longer brown/black hair, and mustache) who has a bad attitude which can ruin your mood. Especially since he is providing a service and customer service is important. I usually don't stay long when he is working.“
“This place is awesome! Affordable drinks, great vibes and on weekend nights this is the place to be! They don't serve food but we decided to bring our own take out and had no problems for that. Tip: Best place to watch Sunday Football!!“
“Incredible facility & excellent service. I visited just to look around & spectate, then ended up having a delicious burger for lunch at the Restaurant 917. Our host Jesus even seated us at the window without a reservation. I'll definitely be back here, what a wonderful experience.“
