“Real, honest BBQ. I had the 2 meat combo with brisket, ribs, mac & cheese and potato salad. Best BBQ I have had since I was in Austin Texas! The owner was working hard with the rest of his employees and was the one to take my order. He seemed very nice and was helpful. I work within walking distance so I can see myself becoming a regular here. Canyons is an excellent addition to Castro Valley's food scene.“

“In case you're not familiar with this place, it is tucked away down an alley from Redwood Road, which can make it a little tricky to find. Beyond that, they have items from places like Germany, Poland and similar countries from those regions in Eastern Europe. What makes this place stand out from some other European markets that I have seen, is they make many of their pastries onsite. On top of that, they have a decent refrigerator section with meats and other items that might be difficult to find at other places as well, and the staff is really helpful too. It's one of those places that make exploring other food cultures fun and interesting or just familiar for those who already have this established in their life.“
