“Real, honest BBQ. I had the 2 meat combo with brisket, ribs, mac & cheese and potato salad. Best BBQ I have had since I was in Austin Texas! The owner was working hard with the rest of his employees and was the one to take my order. He seemed very nice and was helpful. I work within walking distance so I can see myself becoming a regular here. Canyons is an excellent addition to Castro Valley's food scene.“

The only place we order food for New Year's celebration, became a family tradition. Was sad to see original owners sold this store but happy to report that new owner not only continues delivering phenomenal food items but invested to make store larger, more open, more attractive. Roberto and his catering manager were so helpful putting together a buffet menu, and the food was a huge hit. We had carne with chile verde, chicken fajitas, rice, beans, salad, handmade tortillas, bread, and aguas frescas. Everything was delicious, but the chile verde really stole the show!

The staff was friendly and attentive, packed up leftovers, and left everything spotless. Super easy to work with and amazing food. Highly recommend.“
