“This café has a modern design but serves pan dulce that tastes like it’s straight from a traditional Mexican bakery. The conchas are fluffy and pair perfectly with their café de olla. Staff is warm and welcoming, and they don’t rush you if you’re working or chatting. It’s small inside, but very comfortable. Definitely feels like a hidden gem in LA“

It’s hard to find good gluten free. And this is good food. Highly recommended.“

“From the initial greeting, to the lovely outside seating, to the great service staff, to really great flavors, it was a terrific meal. Our whole group concurred, “let’s come back here.”“

“I can’t believe how good this place is. When I moved to LA I thought there would be more options for gluten free and other allergen free options, but I haven’t really seen hardly any, especially on the east side. You can tell how intentional the menu is, nothing has been an afterthought. The owner's creativity with ingredients and flavor pairings are outstanding while still being familiar. Their versions of “scallops” and “fried calamari” taste better than the real thing which was very impressive. They have board games and fun mocktails too. Great multipurpose atmosphere for possible events, and the owners have great hospitality. Parking wasn’t a problem either.“

“Visited here today from Pittsburgh, PA and these are, without a doubt, the best donuts I’ve ever tasted in my life (I’ve tasted a lot 🤣😝). I don’t usually review places but that’s how amazing these are….“

“You cannot go wrong here. Everything on the menu slaps to a superb degree. My favs are the popcorm chicken, the limeade spritzer, and the tofu banh mi (with a side of peanut sauce). Chef Uyen is a very dope human who has built a beautiful business model around delicious Vietnamese home cooking and community mutual aid. We freakin love Be U!“

“Delicious food at a reasonable price. I ordered one of the options with multiple handrolls and chefs were attentive enough that they never stacked up, but I somehow always had one in front of me. I'd passed by it without trying it before as we were meeting up with family at another place, but I'm glad we made it back here.“

“We had a dinner get together with family about 20 people… the food was great but Alejandra who waited for us was phenomenal. Can you imagine 20 of us, but we never had to ask for another drink, she automatically filled our glasses and she had a smile all the time. She was good in assisting our gluten free family members on what food items was available. We didn’t have to wait long for the food to be served. The service was smooth, she was quick, polite, and patient…she is one of a kind…we all enjoyed our dinner and time with family. Thanks to you Alejandra!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“A cozy café with a Korean vibe. I had been following posts about its opening on a thread, so I felt a sense of familiarity with it. The dessert and drink menu were simple and not over-the-top, which I really liked. I was surprised to see more foreigners than Koreans, even though cafés like this usually attract a lot of Koreans. The atmosphere was lovely as well.“

“Love the dishes. House made pasta. Mussels Steamer. Beet salad. Escargots. Ham and sunny egg crepe. Bread with butter and olive oil. Blueberry cheese cake.
We also came back for coffee. It's a nice place with nice hosts.
I guess the only thing can be better is that bread could be on the house. It's a lunch time though. I would expect the dinner comes with bread.“

“honestly would not have gone here had it not been for me being a jackass to my employers.
my job gives you a free 1-topping pizza for your birthday and i said meatlovers. apparently “meatlovers is not 1 topping” so i doubled down and said “prosciutto” to which i was told “if you can find a spot that has just prosciutto, let us know”
so here we are with a cheese pizza and a prosciutto add-on later and hey, can’t complain. you guys helped me out in my time of tomfoolery. thank you“

“Most unusual brunch with chef driven latkes deep fried to look like rye bread. Pickled lox was purple along with crème fresh and capers. Very filling. . . Only thing was the outside chairs were metal and needed cushions. Find used hotel chairs. Otherwise it was great. Bravo“

“Just amazing...this stuff is so beautiful I almost didn't want to eat it! But I did, haha, and it was great! I love that there is so much variety, from cookies to cakes, and the owner is such a sweet person! I'll definitely keep them in mind for my birthday when it rolls around in August. Keep up the good work!“

“Highly reccomend! My husband and I went to a dinner party and between the four of us we have all the allergies. This bakery was a wonderful surprise! My guests were so impressed! The “cream filled” Hostess cupcake dupe was a huge hit! Cinnamon crumb coffee cake, and pumpkin spiced donuts were also phenomenal!“

“During my stay in LA, I’ve been coming here almost daily. I found the best Mediterranean restaurant here, great variety of food, and you can also find VEGAN options!
The ingredients are extremely fresh, and the portions are generous for the price.
I highly recommend this location or any of their other locations, as they have multiple restaurants in LA.
I’ve fallen in love with it.“

“I have been to the 2 Little Tokyo locations and this one is definitely the winner! there’s a huge variety of pastries and things to eat for a quick bite (you might probably have to eat it standing or elsewhere during the weekends since it gets pretty packed and there’s just 3 tables!) but the steamed buns were good!, the matcha mochi wasn’t too sweet so it was perfect, the almond croissant was fine but their specialty is definitely on other pastries! will definitely come back again to try more stuff.“

“Constellation is a jewel in both La Canada and Silver Lake. It’s one of a handful of really good coffee shops in LA. Their espresso is smooth but flavorful, perfect for that early AM wake up call. Best of all, they are very community oriented and the leadership here really dedicates itself to helping the community in more ways than one. Great place, great owners, and they go the distance!“

“I went here to get a quick coffee (Americano) and a tiramisu. The coffee was actually good, and the tiramisu also tasted good! But what I love about this place is that they made the tiramisu take out special by adding whipped cream around the tiramisu (NOT on, don’t worry) so that there wouldn’t be empty space.
The owner of Bon Vivant was SO nice. A very sweet man. The service was great, even for take out.“

“Absolutely incredible vegan dishes and top notch service! We stumbled on Rice when looking for vegan options; so happy we did! Dishes we tried: vegan crisp rice sampler, miso soup, garlic edamame, homemade ginger ale and the crispy dynamite role vegan. Everything was so good! The ginger ale was next level - highly recommend! We got homemade pickled ginger with the roll and it was unbelievably tasty and fresh. The miso soup was a nice surprise as most are not vegan; a broth that built upon each sip and the tofu was also homemade. The crispy dynamite vegan roll had such a unique and deep flavor - more smokey than spicy. I can't recommend the food enough. Thank you to the chef and for the exceptional service. What a treat!!“

“Overall good experience. Dog friendly with a patio for dogs to greet and play. More of a casual spot - wouldn’t take my dog here to get a lot of energy out. But a relaxing environment with good empanadas. Calm and quiet, good if you need to work, or read.“

“I’ve been to the DTLA Arts District location so many times, so I was shocked (in the best way) to discover this one so close to home. The space is modern, clean, and has a cool vibe — though I still lean toward the unique Arts District atmosphere. What really stands out is the pizza: same incredible quality as DTLA. Blindfold me and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
The only thing to keep in mind is that pizza by the slice can add up — if you’re thinking of grabbing more than two, a fresh pie might be the smarter move. Either way, I’m thrilled to have another amazing spot nearby!“

“Kitchen Mouse is one of those rare spots that feels like it’s smiling at you the moment you walk in. The soft green and pink décor, the whimsical touches, and the cozy kids’ area all make it feel like stepping into a storybook. The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made , from their baked goods to their fresh breakfast items, lunch and tasty early dinner offerings , everything tastes like care.
The staff ,Owen, Clara, Dominic and the whole team , are as warm and sweet as the kitchen itself. They make you feel seen and welcome in that effortless way that can’t be faked.
If you’re anywhere near Highland Park, treat yourself to their happy hour from 4 to 6, or stop in any time for something fresh made with love and delicious. Kitchen Mouse is a place that reminds you that food can be both joyful and nourishing , for the body and the heart 🥰

“Tried a couple of the empanadas (ham & cheese, beyond meat, and samosa) and they were all delicious and had a perfect texture.
Also tried the ube brownie - they were out of the cookies - and it was magnificent. If you’re a fan of ube, absolutely try it.
My partner got an iced matcha which I tried and thought was very nice; I got an iced mocha with oat milk and it was wonderfully bitter - the dark chocolate really came through.
Everything cost ~$35+tip. Pretty reasonable considering how much we got for it.“

“I recently visited Alchemist Coffee Project in Koreatown and ordered an Iced Americano and a New Orleans Cold Brew. Let me just say, this place lives up to its reputation as one of the top cafes in the area. The moment you step in, you can feel the warm, inviting atmosphere they emphasize in their mission—a perfect blend of coffee culture and community.
The Iced Americano was crisp, smooth, and perfectly balanced, showcasing their commitment to in-house roasted beans and thoughtful preparation. The New Orleans Cold Brew, with its rich, bold flavor and subtle sweetness, was an absolute standout—proof of their dedication to quality and craft. You can tell they pour their heart into every cup, honoring the art of coffee just as they describe.
The service was exceptional, with staff who clearly care about creating a welcoming experience. The vibe is cozy yet vibrant, making it an ideal spot to connect with friends or just soak in the coffee culture. Alchemist Coffee Project isn’t just serving drinks; they’re curating an experience that elevates coffee to something truly special. Hands down, one of Koreatown’s finest!“

“Amazing bar in the heart of South Park. Solid food options and a seasonally changing menu. Great outdoor patio for SoCal weather and indoor spaces for private parties. Solid liquor line up from lesser known boutique spirits to the mainstays. Friendly bartenders that know your drink and walking distance to Crypto Area/ LA Live / Convention Center.
