“So, I am updating my review. I still love Spiros, both locations,but this particular location has amazing views. However, the service here is not great, mostly 1 person, but they are always there, always taking the orders, which makes him hard to avoid. I believe his name is Steve. I literally dread placing my order when he's there. He is a very stressful person and therefore makes the ordering experience stressful. I go anyway with my family, this place isn't cheap for a casual place but the food is great. Well, recently I had an interaction with this guy that really upset me and my fam, he was very rude in front of customers and tried to make us feel bad. It was busier than normal because it was holiday time and events were happening. I will be contacting management personally but just beware of this guy when you go. Seriously disappointed.“

“I had such a great experience at Falafel California! I ordered the California Falafel wrap and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly put together. You can really taste the quality in every bite.

What made it even better was the owner, Zina. Her passion for what she does really shines through, not just in the food but in the whole vibe of the place. It’s clear she truly cares about her business and her customers.

“Food was good. However, the cashiers were busy cleaning up for the night vs taking care of customers. It wasn’t late, either. It was around 7:30 or 7:45 on a Sunday. The cleaners they use are very strong. Very pinesol or something like that. Glad I got food to go because I wouldn’t want to have smelled the cleaners during dinner. Dining room had zero vibe.“

“Fattoush deserves a Google Review for their mint lemonade alone. The hostess brought us free samples after another table ordered the drink. It is so refreshing. The food was delicious too and service was gracious and warm. I had no issues finding parking in the strip mall.“

“This was our first time trying Somali food, and it definitely won’t be our last! We asked the staff what they recommended, and every suggestion was excellent.

The whole fried fish was perfectly crispy with amazing flavor, the halal buffalo fries were spicy and delicious, and the sambusas were some of the best we’ve had. We also tried a drink we’d never had before that tasted like a mix between Dr Pepper and grape soda, and it was surprisingly refreshing!

The service was friendly and welcoming, and they made our first experience with Somali cuisine a great one. My husband enjoyed it so much that he already said he’ll be stopping by for lunch whenever he’s working in San Diego.

“We were wandering around the Gaslamp looking for a new restaurant to try. We luckily went into Mimosa. What a lovely dinning experience. We had the dinner for two. This gave us the chance to try most of their specialties .It was really impressive that each entree had its own unique flavor. The service was excellent and very friendly. The restaurant filled up quickly and so I guess we'll get a reservation next time.“

“Overall a good restaurant. Nice atmosphere and good staff. We ordered the bread which was nice although the spreads are not great and very similar and don't feel fresh or home made. The kebabs opening dish was great. The fatoush salad is a ripoff, it's very small, swimming in yogurt and not flavorful, this isn't a fatoush salad they should really change this dish. The main pork chop was good, a bit dry but very flavorful, I didn't appreciate the vegetables no taste and very basic, just put some nice roasted veggies instead of cutting them into tiny cubes. Recommended overall!“

“The food here is outstanding. Delicious chapatis, sauces, fish. We ordered salmon with fufu and a bean dish with chapati and a green vegetable sauce dish. We don’t normally eat beef or chicken but found plenty of vegetarian and fish choices. It takes some time to get served because everything is fresh. It’s a little market with a few tables in the back. We ate in store but seems like most people do take out. Highly recommend! (But it does not look like a normal restaurant.). The food is primarily Somalian but the fufu is usually a Nigerian starch (made from yam). Such a nice change!“
