“The food was a great mix of Latin and Cantonese flavors. It brought back many childhood memories of Chinese food in Northern Mexico while growing up. The owner was extremely warm and welcoming in sharing her cuisine that is from her home and heart.“

“I ordered the Drunken Noodle beef & Shrimp pad Thai
Drunken Noodle Beef is a solid 100/10
Just amazing. Best beef noddles I’ve had in a minute
Savory, delicious , amazing
, and looks great
Shrimp pad Thai is a solid 2/10
All u can taste is just spice not heat spice but just spice. And shrimp was like shredded chicken and like over done to the Max.
This place deserves 5 stars for the beef noodle alone.
I had a couple bites then had to share sorry.“

“Our party of 4 pre-ordered a whole Peking duck. It did not disappoint. It was moist and tender. Not greasy as some I have had. It is served with crepes instead of the usual buns. We ate every piece! The miso sea bass was so moist and buttery! We totally agreed it was the best we've ever had! The garlic pea sprouts were cooked just right. For dessert we had the almond jello bunnies. So cute! Could have had more almond flavor but we all finished it anyways! Our server was pleasant and fun. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. Wish I could remember her name. Would definitely eat here again! Note: they have an 8% surcharge for employee whatever. Typical of SF restaurants.“

“The most scenic place to get your Filipino fusion food! They have multiple outlets in the City, but this one has the best views. They're in the back of the Ferry Building and have outdoor seating specifically for their restaurant. Kick back and enjoy a sisig burrito while checking out the Bay and ferries.
I always go for the sisig bowls which are super filling. My husband tried the Longanisa Chopped Cheese which came in a hoagie-like roll. It paired well with the Engkanto Beer. Service is quick, and they'll call your name so make sure to grab a prime seat on the Pier.“

“Best fast casual Japanese food in the city! Ever since visiting Japan at the beginning of last year, I haven’t been able to find any casual Japanese food I really like in California until this place. I got the custom bowl with eel, imitation crab, and teriyaki tofu for protein and a mixed base of salad and rice. It was super satisfying for dinner on a rainy day, and I felt full but not heavy. The portion size was just right, and the ingredients were fresh and yummy.“

“Lunch at Julie's has become a ritual now. I am there at least 1-2 times per week. What a great selection of food that you can have fairly quickly. Got addicted to the Japache noodles from here. I think about them in weekend and then Monday afternoon here I am with a plate full of them.“

“We dined in for a late lunch as a family of three. The yelp waitlist indicated a 10-20 minute wait and we were surprised to receive a text 5 minutes later.
Food came out hot and fresh. We ordered the Juicy Pork Bao, Pork Xiao Long Bao, Zha Jiang House Special Bean Paste with Mince Pork, Boiled Pork and Chive Dumplings and Fried Tofu.
While there is no separate kids menu, our thirteen month old loved his food so much that he stayed in his high chair for the duration of the meal.
Would highly recommend!“

“Delicious Thai food. We were so pleased to find a Thai restaurant where sweet is not a prominent profile in their food. We loved the sour pork, the banana blossom and squid, the eggplant, and the beef jungle curry - they were delicious and had so many little creative touches. The highlight of the meal for me was the smoked young coconut ice cream. So many nostalgic flavors that I have not had outside of Thailand. The Thai smoked candle flavor, the candied water palm fruit, the young rice syrup - just so special. Such a joy to be able to have this in San Francisco. Brought me back to precious moments in Thailand visiting family.“

“Mashita Galbi Jjim, located on Polk Street in San Francisco, is a cozy Korean eatery known for its signature dish, the galbi jjim (braised short ribs). This dish, priced at $66, is a standout. It features tender short ribs served in a bubbling pot, accompanied by carrots, tteokbokki (Korean rice cakes), and a melted cheese topping caramelized with a blowtorch. It’s hearty and perfect for sharing, as one order easily feeds three to four people. The plump mandu (dumplings) are also recommended as a complementary side dish.
The atmosphere is informal, making it a great spot for casual dinners. However, the restaurant’s popularity can result in wait times, particularly during peak hours, such as evenings and weekends. Some patrons have noted slower service during busy periods but praised the staff's friendly demeanor despite being overwhelmed. The interior is compact but comfortable, with simple yet functional decor.
Mashita Galbi Jjim is praised for its authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients. Other menu options include pork tonkatsu and beef plates, but the galbi jjim remains the star. For those seeking a satisfying, shareable meal with bold Korean flavors, this restaurant is a solid choice. If planning to visit during dinner hours, arriving early or expecting a wait is advised.
While some diners have commented on service challenges during peak times, the generous portions and flavorful dishes make it a must-visit for fans of Korean cuisine.“

“No wait to sit down which is uncommon for dim sum in the area. Friendly and quick service despite being understaffed. They were out of quite a few items on the menu. The scallion oil noodles just tasted like soy sauce, I don't recommend those. I do recommend the bbq pork buns, string beans, and pork sheng jian bao. The last two are a must order!“

“Wow. Benu takes Asian cuisine to a whole new level. There are flavors from Chinese, Japanese and Korean food that is amazing. I am not a huge fan of quail, but wow. The quail presented was so delicious.
The small bites were perfect to get you in mood the for wonderful bigger plates. The vegetarian substitutions could have been a little more inspired, but still tasty.
I agree with decor. It is very minimalist, which is unexpected for find dining.
The staff were very very attentive. It was great. For the wine pairing though, they would be a little more generous so that the bites fit the drinks.“
