“The food was a great mix of Latin and Cantonese flavors. It brought back many childhood memories of Chinese food in Northern Mexico while growing up. The owner was extremely warm and welcoming in sharing her cuisine that is from her home and heart.“

“To be honest. The food was not that great, but it is good. I will say 8 out of 10. But ..... Why I gave five stars, because their staff especially the host/server, it was an asian man, he was veryyyyyyyy serving. He gave smiles, serve very well, really warm welcoming. That's the service needed in F&B industry !!!! Very good.
Plus, i went there on monday and turned out it's a free drink day. So i bought chicken basil and crispy veggies roll. Very good food, and the best part yet to come. I love spicy food, so I asked if they have chilli powder, the server told me they have chilli paste. When he brought it to me, he warn me its very spicy. And guess what? Exactly the spicy level I wanted and its very rare to get this green chilli paste like that here in the States. I love it !! Thank you !!!“

“I'm not breaking new ground here—the Peking Duck is incredible. But what's even better is the duck carcass: deep-fried, then sautéed with spices and Sichuan peppercorns. Absolutely off-the-charts delicious. That said, charging $15 extra for it feels a bit much.“

“Chicken Tikka Masala (in a bowl, with white rice instead of brown) - The chicken could have stayed on the grill for an extra minute or two. The Tikka Masala curry was phenomenal - had the right spices, perfect amount of tomato sauce, and quite strong! The curry was contrasted with a white yogurt raita, which contrasted quite well with the umami-ness and the curry. Love the mints and cilantro, made it look very refreshing. The marinated and pickled cucumbers, I felt, had hints of sesame oil.
The pickled cabbages were a great addition to its refreshing dish. Overall, it was a great balance of the strong flavors of the curry and yogurt, and keeping the refreshing profile of the dish.
*I have had this multiple times. The pickling of the cabbage can be inconsistent. The white rice can sometimes be too soggy. The curry was pretty consistent throughout.
FINAL REMARKS: Would come here again for the aforementioned dish.“

“Best Xiao Long Bao i’ve ever had in my life. The soup is flavourful without being heavy, or oily. The pork inside is generous and tender. The wrapper is clearly fresh and handmade with care. I got delivery so my expectations were low, i’ll be honest but holy… these were spectacular. 5/5. I’ve had all sorts of XLB through the city of SF all the way back to the east coast, i’ve had Din Tai Fung… and this place beats them all. I’ll be ordering again this weekend for sure.“

“A Taste of Señor Sisig
I was looking for a quick and small bite to eat for a late lunch/early dinner, and I stopped by Señor Sisig for the first time. A quick look at their menu and their tacos grabbed my attention. I opted for their tofu and chicken tacos. They come on a 6" corn tortilla with onions, lettuce, fresh jalapenos, and cilantro cream sauce.
The store is very small and towards the northern end of the Ferry Building. It has a few stools in the wide hallway in front of the store and a few tables outside facing the Bay. The staff was young and quick to take my order and turn it around, so I did not have to wait more than a few minutes. The tacos were spicy and tasty. I enjoyed them both and will likely return to try their burritos and other items.

“While this spot is generally considered one of the best Thai spots in the city, I found it to be a bit over rated. Service was just ok and the food was disappointing. The beef curry was good but not as good as it should be considering the price. The beef wasn’t as tender as it should be and the curry was mismatched with fats and spices, generally a bit flat on flavor. Scallops were very good and had subtle Thai flavors that meshed very well with the scallop’s natural flavor. Fried chicken was my least favorite and completely not worth it. I’m not sure what happened here but very little expected flavor and zero exciting or inspiring flavor. Bland is best to describe.
Wine selection was very good. Presentation was beautiful for each dish. Seems like something potential changed, or maybe it was just the day after Valentine’s Day and the team had enough.

“Love their buffet style service! The place is a You-Choose-What-You-Eat and pay by pound restaurant. They have great selection of both vegetarian and meat options. I also saw sushi and spring rolls, which both are my favorite.
They also have the options to choose from their bento boxes if you don’t know what to get.
Will definitely come back to support!
Vegetarian options: You can go full vegetarian as your choice.
Wheelchair accessibility: They have elevators in the building.“
“Wako was surely one of, if not, the finest sushi dinner I've had in San Francisco. Just exquisite fish, flavors, and presentation. The appetizers and surrounding dishes of the Omikase were very excellent as well. But if you just want the sushi, the sushi tasting is a better value. You get the same number of pieces of sushi for less money.“

“Best fast casual Japanese food in the city! Ever since visiting Japan at the beginning of last year, I haven’t been able to find any casual Japanese food I really like in California until this place. I got the custom bowl with eel, imitation crab, and teriyaki tofu for protein and a mixed base of salad and rice. It was super satisfying for dinner on a rainy day, and I felt full but not heavy. The portion size was just right, and the ingredients were fresh and yummy.“

“Mashita Galbi Jjim, located on Polk Street in San Francisco, is a cozy Korean eatery known for its signature dish, the galbi jjim (braised short ribs). This dish, priced at $66, is a standout. It features tender short ribs served in a bubbling pot, accompanied by carrots, tteokbokki (Korean rice cakes), and a melted cheese topping caramelized with a blowtorch. It’s hearty and perfect for sharing, as one order easily feeds three to four people. The plump mandu (dumplings) are also recommended as a complementary side dish.
The atmosphere is informal, making it a great spot for casual dinners. However, the restaurant’s popularity can result in wait times, particularly during peak hours, such as evenings and weekends. Some patrons have noted slower service during busy periods but praised the staff's friendly demeanor despite being overwhelmed. The interior is compact but comfortable, with simple yet functional decor.
Mashita Galbi Jjim is praised for its authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients. Other menu options include pork tonkatsu and beef plates, but the galbi jjim remains the star. For those seeking a satisfying, shareable meal with bold Korean flavors, this restaurant is a solid choice. If planning to visit during dinner hours, arriving early or expecting a wait is advised.
While some diners have commented on service challenges during peak times, the generous portions and flavorful dishes make it a must-visit for fans of Korean cuisine.“

“This place is a must-go for a delicious and modern take on Korean cuisine. We had 3 people sharing 6 plates for dinner (4 small and 2 large) which was just enough food for dinner. The cocktails were also all great and just the right balance of flavors. The dishes that stood out the most were the sunchoke & truffle, soy glazed potatoes, and the radish kimchi fried rice.“

“Wow!! They SO deserve their 3 Michelin starts! The food was off the charts and so was the service. Sinead noticed I was left handed and switched everything to make it easier for me. I have NEVER experienced this before and I’ve been to many Michelin started restaurants. The sommelier was amazing - we had two bottles, a Sancerre and a Chablis, and they were both absolutely wonderful. The birthday cake was PHENOMENAL. I’m thankful to their amazing staff for making this a wonderful celebration. Thank you!!!! I personally LOVE the minimalistic decor. The music was perfect as well. Why go gaudy when you can be absolutely beautiful?!?! I’m so in favor of their decor. And heated toilet seats?! Love it!“

“Fantastic food and even better service! Stumbled upon this restaurant and after abysmal service from every other restaurant I’ve tried in SF, we were blown away. The galbi tang was piping hot and so comforting and the pork belly was so delicious. The drinks were very good and also reasonably priced! The highlight of our night was definitely our amazing server Hazel. She was so incredibly sweet and personable and really made everything 10x better. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area.“
