“In town visiting. Wanted to try something a bit more local. We had dinner at Cafe Verde and very happy we did! Menu had a good selection of salads, Italian dishes, and pizza. Tried the mushroom stuffed sweet potato for a starter and it was delicious. We shared a beet salad and eggplant parmesan dish. Great! Finished the dinner with a slice of grandmother’s cake, a light crusted lemon custard dessert. Very tasty! The restaurant also had a good selection of beer and wine if you are interested is a beverage with dinner. We enjoyed our conversation with the waiter, everyone was happy to serve. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.“

“Not rating atmosphere since small take place, although front patio has couple tables with small view of SF Bay. This is our favorite Friday night pizza ! Call and order ahead and pick it up 30 min later on busy night. Always ready, always good. Great gluten free pizza, plain cheese and Hawaiian regulars are great!“

“We have been going to Pizetta for too many years to count now. Always yummy, craveable pizzas and interesting starters - not your ordinary starters. They are ever-changing and highlight whatever was freshest from the farmer's market. Don't forget the desserts which include always-available options as well as specials. They can get busy (because they are just that good) but, we think, it's well worth the wait. Wish they'd open other locations but understand the desire to stay small and true to their roots.“

The pizza crust wasn't thin or overly doughy, and the edges were crispy and worth every bite. A small will feed 2-3 people easy. They also sell individual slices.

“I got the carnitas and pineapple pizza, which was hot, fast, and very flavorful! So thankful I missed the SMART train and had to find dinner in Larkspur.

The staff were easy to chat with and helpful - they made me feel welcome, even though it was pretty close to closing time, which I quite appreciated.

Got an ice cream afterwards and also loved it! Their mix-in machine is pretty cool.

All of it was really good but my favorite was the beet salad, the spaghetti pasta, As for the pizza, I think we tried 4-5 different ones. My favorite was the pepperoni and the mushroom. “What an absolute gem-in-the-wall. Located somewhat in an alleyway that is off the main street (which by the way, the main street did feel sketchy), and upon entering you feel immersed in a rustic restaurant that gives off huge authenticity vibes. We were served by someone who was so knowledgeable of the food, was able to articulate how they were special, and provided such enthusiasm, it was refreshing. We decided to get 2 pizzas for 2 people, and although it was said they are somewhat personal-sized, they were slightly larger (so expect extras!). We chose the white pizza MARANELLA and a red called TORMARANCIA and they were DELICIOUS! Absolutely some of the best pizzas I've ever had. The crust was light, crispy, and yet filling. We paired the pizza with some wine, and it hit the spot. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend all those visiting SF to try!“

The 1 slice alone was very filling, and they offered me a cup of ice to go with my Dr. Pepper. It was very clean and the employees were very kind and greeted me when i came in. We arrived at Capo’s around 7:20 pm on a Saturday and were told we would have to wait 40 minutes for a table.
As hungry travelers, we said thank you and as we were about to leave, the hostess finds a nook and sat us down outside. I appreciate the fact that she did us that favor.
There were no patio heaters, so if sitting outside or walking in during busy hours, expect to dine outside in the cold with no heat (during winter).

(The Staff)
It was a very busy night, but the staff did a spectacular job in checking in on us.

(The Food)
The appetizers come in a reasonably sized portion, we ordered the garlic bread with mozzarella and was given a complimentary dish of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
My partner ordered the meat lasagne and I ordered the rigatoni alla vodka with smoked pancetta. The food was really good, it’s unlike anything I have ever had.
Take in mind that the dishes do serve up to 2 people, on busy nights it make take a bit to get your food, and regular pizzas take up to 20 minutes to bake, deep dish pizzas take up to 45 minutes to bake (but they look like they are worth the time!)

I would have loved to sit inside, the vibe is really nice. If you are looking for authentic Italian food with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff, book a reservation at Capo’s.“
