“This is a nice old school sandwich shop. I came here right before closing so it wasn’t too busy at all. The sandwiches were made quick and tasted good. We took them down to the port to eat them. My girlfriend ordered the tuna salad and when we got to the port we realized it was actually chicken salad. The was a little disappointing for her. She was also not a fan that something was a little spicy, maybe the mustard. I got the number one on their menu and it was good. I think I would get it without the oil and vinegar next time as the vinegar was a little overpowering.“

“I always walk by this place on my way to work ,but since it’s kind of unassuming, I never gave it a shot. Bad on me. I went the other day and ordered the chipotle chicken bowl…it was fantastic! Can’t wait to try other stuff out. The price is super affordable for the city and the service was very friendly. The guy gave behind the counter gave me a complimentary orange juice. I get a make your own turkey sandwich on sourdough and it's probably my favorite sandwich. The sourdough is so good - chewy and flavorful and a great crisp on our outside. Roasted turkey is perfect, not too salty, all fix-ins are fresh. It's everything I want a sandwich to be!

On top of this, the sandwich is huge. I eat a lot so it's great portion for me but if you don't eat as much, you'll get two gourmet sandwiches out of $15 which is pretty amazing.

Lastly, the people are just so nice. They are patient and kind and thoughtful. They make you feel right at home.

If I lived closer this would be a regular weekly if not many times a week spot for me!!“

It does not have the grace of Flatiron in NY; and hence it relies on reputation of hosting a restaurant, Cafe Zoetrope, frequented by the great film director Coppola ; it’s a building that lives on the fame of another person. “A “Must Stop” for lunch! The best sourdough bread I’ve ever had. Wanted to go back and just order a bunch of bread to take home and spoil the family. The perfect crispy crust and then soft chew center with lots of wonderful savory sourness. I had the Ham & Pastrami. Perfect fresh ingredients. “I remember going to this place many years ago and thought of it again today when I was passing by. Great, simple, well balanced sandwiches. I recommend toasting your bread if you don’t like hot sandwiches but want a soft yummy bread. The staff who own the place are so nice and accommodating. Plenty of snacks to go with your sandwich. Came here for lunch and shared a clubber sandwich and the spicy tuna salad 🥗. Both were very tasty.

The clubber is a huge sandwich with lots of turkey, bacon on a soft ciabatta roll. Would definitely get this again.

Salad had a large variety of ingredients. Miso ginger vinaigrette dressing was excellent 👍. Tuna tartare was tasty 😋. Would also get this delicious salad again.

Also took the smores rice crispy snacks. They were a bit stale 😢. Would not get this again.

Overall, liked my sandwich and salad 🥗. Would come back for more delicious food.“

I was looking for something new to try when I got hungry, so I asked my colleague for a recommendation. She suggested 5th Avenue Deli & Market, a small, hidden gem tucked away in the Embarcadero Center near the corner of Clay and Drumm streets.

They offer a large selection of sandwiches, non-alcoholic drinks, and chips to accompany their creations. Since I'm not a picky eater, I asked the friendly cashier what their most popular sandwich was. Without hesitation, he declared, "SanFranPsycho!"

This sandwich features honey turkey, bacon, Gouda cheese, garlic butter, pesto, and Cajun mayo, all piled high on your choice of bread. I went with sourdough, gutted out and toasted with everything. While 5th Avenue has no indoor seating available, there are benches outside in the Embarcadero Center. I took it back to the office, and with the first bite, I was in love!

The sandwich was perfect - the bread was fresh and perfectly toasted, the flavors exploded in my mouth, and it was incredibly filling. I'm officially a fan! If you work nearby and have a sandwich craving, check out 5th Avenue Deli & Market. This is one sandwich experience you won't regret!

My sandwich , the LLB special $12.50 was roast beef, turkey, ham, swiss, provolone on dutch crunch, was alright. The New England Clam Chowder $8.50 was chunky and not filled all the way up. That tasted OK as well. Friendly service for a counter style restaurant. Kitchen was fast taking account they were busy. I was pretty full afterwards.“

Adrienne the girl at the counter was soooo nice to agree to make all the sandwiches, which ended up making her clock out late. She saved the day! The field trip with the kids was a hit and they loved their sandwiches.After I left I realized I accidentally left my credit card in the card reader (tired teacher). Alex F the morning guy kept my card safe for pick up after I got off work. You just don't find kind, honest, and hardworking people like Adrienne and Alex that often anymore.I believe the manager's name is Mr. Sunil.If you read this Sunil, you have two superstar employees working for you! “This is our favorite sandwich shop in Mill Valley and frankly one of our favorite sandwich shops we’ve encountered even while living in SF for nearly 10 years. Sandwiches are a dime a dozen but the best sandwiches have the right bread, right amount of moisture vs dryness, high quality deli meat, and that certain set of ingredients that you’re not quite sure why it’s so much better than other sandwiches with the same ingredients. That is ABSOLUTELY Antone’s East Coast Sub Shop!! My husband and I go almost every weekend, it’s such a treat for us. I’m actually getting hungry for it as I write this review 😅
