“Get the Glorious Bastard sandwich like your life depends on it. It’s the best sandwich I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. The complimentary flavors of the seasoned turkey, bacon, garlic mayo, crispy lettuce, and pickled red onions is INSANE. Combined with the textures of the Dutch crunch roll and fresh avocado that just ties it all together. Unfortunately I’m not from California, but whenever I’m there Salty’s is always a priority. “This place is so underrated, what a gem in an unassuming place! I had the chicken banh mi and the bread was fresh and had the perfect amount of crunch and the flavors were great. I come from SJ and although I wasn’t say it was the most “authentic” banh mi it was so good and did not feel like a heavy meal. The chicken rice soup had so much umami, would honestly be a treat and I’ll probably crave the cozy comfort of it when I’m sick.

There are a few seats inside and out but seems like a quick pickup and takeout place which works for me! We had the food inside last time though and service was so sweet. They were very attentive even when they were filling orders :)“

“Great experience! I’m based in Texas and was coordinating a lunch order remotely for my boss and his team for a business meeting in San Francisco. The gentleman I spoke with was incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating while helping me make sure everything was set for the meeting.
I called again the morning of pickup to confirm everything was ready(I'm a little OCD lol) and happened to speak with the same gentleman. He immediately reassured me that everything was ready to go. Coordinating something like this from another state can be a little stressful, and he made the entire process so easy.

“I visited Oink & Oscar with some coworkers recently for a team lunch. Some of us are local and some were visiting, but it was everyone's first time at O&O. Fortunately, there wasn't a conference or large event happening at Moscone Center, so it was pretty quiet when we arrived - no line to order and just a few people waiting for their food.

I was relieved to see how easy they made the ordering process. With all the sandwich customizations available, they keep it simple by having you fill out a paper order sheet yourself. I decided to keep things straightforward and ordered the first sandwich on their Favorites menu: Oscar's Wild. It was really tasty, and the portion was generous - definitely shareable, especially if you add chips or a different side.

For non-meat eaters, there are also vegetarian and vegan options, which is a plus. Since it was such a nice day, we took our sandwiches to-go and ate at Yerba Buena Gardens nearby. (There are also some outdoor picnic tables available in Yerba Buena Lane if you prefer to stay.)

“The roast pork hoagie is the best sandwich I’ve had in a long time. The broccoli rabe is bitter but it works with the rich pork & cheese. The bread is excellent, fresh and encrusted with sesame seeds and rich but not soggy from soaking up just the right amount of pork drippings. The sandwiches are quite large. Second floor location is sneaky and the shop was very quiet so I hope more people find this place and support it. In addition to sandwiches, the shop also offers cookies and a nice curated selection of packaged chocolates, tea blends, and other goods along one wall.“
