“Such a gem of a coffee spot! This cute little neighborhood café has quickly become one of my go-tos. They have a lot of different flavors so you can customize your cold foam. Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. Their cold brew is bold but super smooth no bitterness at all 👏 and they have tons of great milk options from Straus.
The vibe is welcoming, perfect for grabbing a quick morning coffee or hanging out for a bit. You can tell they care about quality and the small details. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and want something that feels local and special! 🌿☕️✨“

“One of my favorite coffee shops of the OC area

As soon as I stepped into the cafe, I was met with a high ceiling that was a refreshing break from more of the low ceiling office spaces that I had been studying in. The layout and decor is well put together with the napkins, coffee cup sleeves, and utensils being easily accessible and out of the way from any lines that may form. I’ve also delighted in the presence of board games and enough seating to host these board games! The space is fitting for any who seeks to study with enough accessible outlets within reach wherever you sit. There’s also a maker space area right next door, and in a sense because there is no closed doors between the cafe seating area and the maker space market - it just makes the space feel even more spacious!

I ordered an iced chai latte spiced with nonfat milk. It came out to be $6 for a large cup size. I took one sip and all my worries for the day seemed to have melted away! Praise God! It was incredibly thoughtful to have stickers placed on the drink so that you would know who made your drink. The staff are all kind and hard working - God bless you all.

I want to be back to try the other drinks because it seems like there’s a new seasonal drink incorporating mushrooms, which I have not heard before.

“I really like the salted caramel matcha latte that I got. I got it with regular milk and it was so creamy and flavorful. The matcha did not taste bitter at all and I feel like the salted caramel complimented it well. There were people on laptops doing work inside so it seemed like a nice study spot. I appreciated that they had a limited food menu as well if you were in the mood for something factory. All-in-all, I'd come back again!“

“A Wonderful Discovery in Costa Mesa

As a new customer at The Lost Bean in Costa Mesa, I couldn’t be more delighted with my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed into a space that is clean, well maintained, and peaceful — perfect for relaxing or getting work done.

The coffee is excellent, crafted with care and consistency. The food is fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Everything I’ve tried has been outstanding.

What makes this place even better is the staff, especially a gentleman named Chris. He is kind, sincere, smart, and attentive. He creates a welcoming atmosphere and seems to play a major role in running the shop.

The entire team is friendly and helpful, but Chris stands out. I hope the management team recognizes him and lets him know he is appreciated. He makes a big difference.

Because of him and the great environment, The Lost Bean has quickly become one of my favorite places in Costa Mesa.

“On a street just absolutely inundated with coffee shops. From the kitchey little no pun intended Kit coffee at one end showing you how coffee is done and some City you don't really want to live in, all the way to the Walmart of coffee, Starbucks at the other end. There are some notable filling up the middle like Keane coffee that's somehow related to the old Diedrick's that somehow got his roasting technique from Doctor Illy of Italy's Illy Cafe fame but if you are a true coffee connoisseur and really know what great tasting brewed coffee is, Peet's is the only choice. From the classic smooth but not meek by any means, major dickason's to the sweet super dark but not ever burnt, italian roast to the Smoky pungent French and then one of my new favorites a slightly lighter roast, Cafe Domingo. If they only carried heavy cream on the counter for the customers I would feel like I was in Europe again. So, don't listen to the trends listen to your tongue your nose and your common sense. Oh yeah, and if you're a millennial they have stuff like cold brew and chai tea as well. Peet's“

“Came here around 1:30PM on a Tuesday to sit down and study. There was a good amount of seating available and there was no line. The barista was able to take our order immediately. She was very kind and was willing to answer any questions regarding the drinks. We ordered a sweet matcha latte and strawberry matcha. It didn't take long for our drinks to come out. Both drinks were on the sweeter side, but if I had to choose I think I prefer the strawberry matcha. I think I would like to try the ceremonial matcha or matcha cloud 9 next time. Not sure if I'd totally recommend the 2 drinks I tried today just because they taste just okay, nothing over the top or anything. It's not the biggest cafe location but there is stool seating and seating against the window (there is more seating than the photos I attached, I didn't want to take photos of other people). Wifi is also available and there is a nice clean bathroom too. Overall, might come here again since it seems less busy than other cafes nearby.“

“Stop here 4 to 5 times a week. It tends to be pretty busy between 730-9am when I stop by during the week.Everybody here is always so friendly. The drinks are always spot on and they always greet you as soon as you walk in the door. Marianne always has a smile on her face when she greets you. Stop by and order a drink. Try it off yourself. Tell me how you like it.“

“This outdoor cafe in the middle of the performing arts center is convenient and reasonably priced. The drinks are certainly cheaper than inside. Also the bartenders are excellent and will make you any cocktail they have the ingredients for. The food menu is updated regularly. Currently they have a nice mix of sandwiches, flatbreads, and salads.

“Moongoat Greenhouse is a full sensory reset. The light pours in, everything is lush and plant filled, and the space feels airy and calm without being sleepy. It’s the kind of vibe that makes you take your time, people watch a little, and suddenly you’re in a much better mood just sitting there with your cup.

The flat whites were dialed in, silky, balanced, and exactly how I want a flat white to taste. The iced chai was refreshing and clean, not cloying. The grilled cheese was comforty and crisp in all the right places, and the cookie was genuinely decadent. Big shoutout to Andrew, beautiful latte art, super warm energy, and somehow he managed to keep the quality perfect while handling multiple tickets at once, plus making a hot chocolate that tasted as good as it looked.“
