“I have made boba stops every day this week while I’ve been in LA. I had the strawberry matcha drink. It was decent for what it is but the strawberry that is used seems to be a syrup base which wasn’t my personal preference. Reminded me of what gets used in a McDonalds strawberry sundae.

“I have been trying various milk tea places in the area to find a place that would cater milk tea for my upcoming wedding. My wife could not have the wedding without having milk tea served to the guests. My wife and I tried the champ milk tea here and decided that this place was the one. Their portions are much larger than other shops, and the tea flavor is pronounced and not covered by sugar/milk. The manager, Ryan, was super helpful in preparing our bulk order for the wedding, and it was a major hit during our wedding. Definitely come here for their various milk tea flavors, and also highly recommend their Kumquat green tea! Thank you Tea Champ!“

My family found a new boba place that actually accommodate everybody drinking favorite. I don’t have to drive to Rowland Heights for Half And Half then go to West Covina for BYOB and OneZo. The crispiness is perfect. They have different spice levels and 10 out of 10 satisfaction . If you’re more hungry, they have other food options and lots of drink options with boba too. The staff don’t speak that much English pretty much Chinese only but you can point at the menu and you’ll be fine. There is plenty of parking outside, so you will never struggle to look for that. “It’s cats and boba tea here at Miko Boba. A pet supplies store is connected to this boba milk tea place. There is a cat living quarters with a a nice cat tree in the middle of the room. There are maybe a dozen cats of various size and age living there like a fishbowl. You can stare at the cats all day while drinking your milk teas. Pet supplies store has high quality feeds and accessories for cats and dogs.

“When the other Boba Avenue location closed in San Gabriel area I was very sad. It was like my favorite spot to come when I'm in the area because they're strawberry yogurt and fried tofu were very good. I heard from the owners that the plazas that the other locations were at decided to do other things with the space. It wasn't that they were having bad business or losing money. At least this new location has plenty of parking and there are other Asian businesses in the plaza like tasty BCD tofu house and others. The outside seating area for the business has some sort of imitation scenery kind of like the ones you see in Disneyland to imitate a area. Like a business is not really a business it's a wall lol. Other than that there strawberry yogurt is just as good as I remember and they do serve the fried tofu. I usually call ahead on the phone if I just want to pick up and go quickly. They do stop serving fried food close to the 11:00 p.m. Mark so try to come before then.“

“I went here after dinner to try this boba place and lucky me, they had a special on drinks with cheese foam this night. For $1.68 for boba that's pretty great in this troubling economy. The peach cheese foam drink was refreshing and there was actual bits of peach in the drink. The drink wasn't overly sweet and made quickly. I can't comment on other food items since I only went there for a drink. I would go back if they have more of these specials.“

“Discounting the hype caused by TT causing insane lines, it's good quality tea but a little...kitschy? The moment you want to order tea rather than a milk tea/tea latte, which is my preference, the tea tastes over-steeped. They go on about their unique brewer which seems so unnecessarily large for what it does and you can't adjust it based on whether or not you're adding milk or not?

The workers here are basically on an assembly line, but in a way where it doesn't feel optimized for the space and output. If you're going for that method, go all the way. I do like that they at least switch people around so it's not a whole hours shift of open container, measure tea, close container, open container, measure tea, close container, etc.

So boba in most boba places is on a level that's so good now, I expect any boba place to have stellar boba (gone are the days of shrugging off the powdery hard center), and the boba here is...just okay? I don't know, I can't quite place a finger on why I feel that way. Is the size smaller than other places? Whatever it is, I end up ordering the grass jelly here which is very, very good.“
