“We have been going to Boba Box since it was still doing the soft opening. We drive about 15-20 mins just to come here. My family found a new boba place that actually accommodate everybody drinking favorite. I don’t have to drive to Rowland Heights for Half And Half then go to West Covina for BYOB and OneZo. They also have fries, onion rings, and cheese sticks. Love the plain cheese sticks, only thing missing is the marinara sauce. They give ranch but I don't like their ranch. It tastes weird. “Came back for round two because I love boba too much to give up that easily 😅 and I’m so glad I did. Tried the hojicha milk tea with no sweetness + boba, and it was a much better experience this time around.

Good flavor tea and good boba are always important to me — I usually get my sweetness from the boba itself, so I almost always order 0 added sugar. The hojicha was flavorful and smooth, and the boba was fresh, chewy, and delicious, which really made the drink.

The staff was super friendly, the space was clean and welcoming, and they were kind enough to let me take photos (always appreciated by a food lover 📸). Everything felt thoughtful and well done, and the vibe was perfect for sitting and actually enjoying your tea.

The employee who armed the register was so delicious i got nervous and rode away on my scooter. She saw me fall on the cement and loose two of my front teeth. I think the best Asian compliment you can get for dessert is the “not so sweet,” from your aunties, and this was definitely what it was giving.

The sweetest drink by far was the Mango Mochi which was served as a slush. It was super refreshing and a good pick me up drink for a hot day.

The tea lattes were also very good and are definitely a good option for less sweet items. My personal favorite between the lattes had to be the peach latte which was super refreshing and a good study drink!

Environment is also a good place to study and chill at, but definitely on the smaller side 📚🙇‍♀️📖

“My new favorite boba spot in town! Super friendly service, drinks that are deliciously made without a long wait, and they happily take my reusable cups for my boba orders (I think they recognize me now lol)! I'm in Walnut about twice a month and have been stopping by Goomo for my boba cravings each time.

I'm still playing around with their menu to find my favorite drink. So far I've tried the orange green tea (50% sweet, no ice with grass jelly), passion fruit bomb, and green grape yakult and they're all good! Appreciate that they make the drinks with no syrups or artificial flavors and with actual pieces of fruit for the fruit drinks. Lately, I've been digging their jumbo cups of their classic milk tea and thai tea, both come with boba and is perfect for when you want a little more bang for your buck and just more drink overall!

My first time here I was more hungry than thirsty, so I tried their popcorn chicken, which was pretty solid. I need to come back and try their other food items on the menu.

Ordering is so easy here. Use the kiosk to select and customize your drink. Make sure to sign up for the rewards too, which also sends you a text when your order is ready. I found that after I place my order at the kiosk, I just grab their attention to ask if they can make my drink in my own cup.

Plenty of seating inside to enjoy your drinks and hang out with friends. Plenty of parking too. They are also one of the few boba shops that open until 10 pm so my friends and I come by after our evening Kiwanis meetings to grab some boba.“

Critical feedback: I ordered a peach oolong milk tea with boba, 0 sugar. The drink was very watery and I requested more milk in it, but it still wasn't enough. Slightly disappointed with the drink.

Nice-to-have enhancement: have sugar packets outside so customers can adjust the sugar level themselves. Would be nice if the boba had a honey coating to it.

South El Monte is also home to a lot of Taiwanese boba supplies companies and import so that makes people who start boba shop businesses in the South El Monte an easy access to the materials and that makes it all thrive. My wife could not have the wedding without having milk tea served to the guests. My wife and I tried the champ milk tea here and decided that this place was the one. Their portions are much larger than other shops, and the tea flavor is pronounced and not covered by sugar/milk. The manager, Ryan, was super helpful in preparing our bulk order for the wedding, and it was a major hit during our wedding. “Fourth time trying this place, I do recommend it if craving for a tea, sweet milky boba, or slushy drinks with some hotdogs/meats or cheese snacks. They added waffles snack too. It was quite tasty, with friendly, helpful staff and cute small hidden location with free parking. The price is pretty good for buying one drink and getting 50% off next item. The passion fruit or lemon black tea are so far my favorite here. It was mixed well with great favors. The original hotdogs I tired had so many dipping sauces to select from that it was delicious. It is not a healthy snack, but it was a treat. Many other foods are near this plaza. I was pretty full after for under $10. They take both cash and credit card, have both a person to help order or those order yourself monitor, everything convenient plus a restroom for customers not like some other tea places.“

We picked The Logo Game and learned new facts about products and logos and what not from the game. Did you know that Baskin Robbins had 31 flavors particular to cover each day of the month? “Stopped by after my service club's meeting for some boba. Very cozy setting inside with several seating options, plus the large patio outside. Make your way to the back to order first and then pick a spot to sit.

I got a delicious hot almond milk tea with boba and they were cool with using my reusable tumbler for the beverage! Solid drink. Too bad I was still full from dinner that I couldn't try any of their food items.

Another awesome thing is that they stay open pretty late, closing at 11 pm, which is a lot later than some of the other places around that close earlier at 9 or 10 pm. Though, if you're friends with the employees, they let you stay later (we were kicked out at 11 pm, while a group of 6 were allowed to stay).

“Not too much space indoors to enjoy your drink, so our group took our drinks outside at the tables right by TP Tea to hang out.

You can order at the self order kiosk or with an employee. I got the TGY Family milk tea at 30% sugar and with less ice ($6.95). Mainly chose this because it comes with pudding, boba, and coffee jelly already included! Appreciate that they were fine with using my reusable tumbler for the drink! If you love the variety of toppings in your milk tea, this is the ideal drink to order! 30% sweet was the perfect amount of sweetness for me, though I do have to revisit the type of metal tumbler I bring as the tumbler keeps the ice intact, which blocks me getting to the toppings.

“Saw that they were running a promotion for 4 regular sized drinks for $16.50, so I stopped by since I haven't gotten 7 leaves in a long time. This location has a drive through and a dine-in, but the dine-in area looks small.

We didn't want to park so we ordered through the drive through. We got the Mungbean Milk Tea, Sea Salt Jasmine Tea, and the House Coffee. The drinks didn't take long to be ready and the entire drive through process went smoothly. The employees were also friendly and provided good service.

The mung bean milk tea was a bit too sweet for my taste even though I already asked for easy sweet. It still tasted sweet after the ice melted. I don't think I like this drink much anymore. For the sea salt jasmine tea, that was good since the sea salt foam goes well with the tea. The house coffee was just okay since my sister who ordered it isn't a super big fan of coffee.

I think this is a decent drink spot but their menu is a bit limited with not many options. I would rather visit a boba shop that is closer since I'm not really into the drinks here.“
