“I drank my matcha in the afternoon and it kept me up all night! I wish I lived nearby so I could stop for some to fuel my day, genuinely good quality matcha and they don’t skimp out. I met the owners wife who was so nice and personable, offered to remake my drink because it was too sweet. I can tell they put a lot of care into their business — as for drinks they run very sweet and 25-35% was personally perfect for me! Such a sweet shop and I’d recommend. Only improvement is adding a bathroom if possible.“

“I ordered the 22 TW Champion Milk Tea with brown sugar boba, and I absolutely loved it!
Using red oolong instead of the usual black tea gives the drink a unique depth of flavor that’s smooth, fragrant, and not overly sweet. The brown sugar boba had the perfect chewy texture and paired beautifully with the tea.
Overall, it’s a fantastic drink in a great location, and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu.“

“I wasn't having the best day when I walked into Boba Sound in Koreatown. I was frustrated, irritated, and honestly just not in a great mood. The moment I walked in, however, I was welcomed by Kelly, whose smile was as bright as a cloudless morning sun.
Kelly was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave excellent recommendations. I ended up trying the honeydew smoothie with lychee jelly, and it was absolutely delicious—I highly recommend that combination.
What made this visit special wasn't just the drink. Within a couple of minutes of interacting with Kelly, my entire attitude and outlook had changed. Her kindness, charisma, and genuine thoughtfulness made me feel seen and appreciated. She seemed to sense I wasn't having the best day and went out of her way to make the experience better. She even gave me the little bit of smoothie that was left in the blender, which was such a simple but thoughtful gesture.
Great customer service can completely change someone's day, and that's exactly what happened here. I'll definitely be coming back—not just for the amazing smoothies, but for the outstanding service and welcoming atmosphere.
If I'm anywhere near the area, Boba Sound will be one of my stops. Kelly deserves recognition for the exceptional experience she provided. Five stars isn't enough—I would gladly give 20 stars if that were an option.“

“Randomly went here on a Sunday, and I was very pleasantly surprised!
It was a little crowded, but the team moved pretty quickly. You order at the kiosk and I waited only about 10 minutes. Not bad.
I got a brown sugar, Vietnamese coffee. I think that’s what it was called… It was very rich and flavor and fairly priced too!! Will definitely come back to try more.“

“I love Sunny Blue. It’s perfect for a quick bite—grab one onigiri as a snack or a few for a full meal. I’ve tried most of the menu, and my go-tos are the Miso Beef, Chicken Curry, and Spicy Salmon, but you really can’t go wrong.
There’s no seating—order at the counter and take it to go. I usually walk a block or two to the beach park and eat there, which makes it even better. It’s great for kids, reasonably priced, and surprisingly filling for the quality.
The owner is a gem, the staff is always kind, and service is quick even when there’s a line. A true Santa Monica staple and absolutely worth trying.“

“I don’t understand why this restaurant doesn’t have 5 stars!!! I mean, the food was very good, the ambience was beautiful and specially the customer service!! I don’t know the name of the guy and sorry about that I didn’t ask it, but I think you’ll know who we are. The girl in a purple dress and the guy with green sueter. We asked for ramen and poke bowl and they comes with very very delicious appetizers and boba drinks !! Like what ??? Really really amazing!! And honestly I’m soooo strict with customer service and this guy was really amazing!! Give him an increase in his salary!!

“This is an amazing place for boba/drinks. The workers are really nice! They were patient and kind. The atmosphere was pretty clean, but there was some trash uncleaned when me and my Mom arrived(around 6pm). The pricing was what I expected, as most drinks are 7-8$ as they are pretty large. Their Halo-Halo(my mom shook it before i took the picture) and Tiger Boba were superb, I really reccomemd the Halo-Halo.“

“First heard of this place through social media and had a lot of hype due to the brand being popular in South Korea. If you love brown sugar or croffles, this is the place to go!
Interior is super cute and spacious, a lot of tables and seats with a small arcade with a LIFE4CUTS booth on the side. A nice extra to the space. I've seen many events that are held here because of how big the space is.
The cafe is located in the front of the plaza, down the stairs of the front of the plaza, easy to spot but at the same time, hard to look for at the same time because of where its located. Parking is free if not staying over 90 minutes and can be validated by HHD staff.
HHD menu is massive, many options to try. The spot is very popular on the weekends and late afternoons. Kiosk ordering is available but the kiosk is a bit slow, unresponsive, and not programmed correctly compared to other cafes. Wait times can get long especially when busy and depending on order, but staff is super friendly and professional.
From the recommendations, their Dalgona & brown sugar is definitely a must try. Although a bit sweet even with lower adjustments, the tea is refreshing on a hot day. Aside from the signature drinks, the Matcha Strawberry Latte is also super refreshing and mixes really well together.
Will definitely be back to try the croffles and the numerous other options in the menu.“

“I often walk around Koreatown and see people holding Boba Time cups and I honestly feel bad for them that they don't know that Sunright is around the corner and 1000x better!!! The most delicious boba ever. Both the honey and the brown sugar boba are always fantastic in taste and texture. The teas are always such clear and delicious flavors! You can customize pretty much everything about your drink which is so nice because I feel a lot of boba is just too sweet for me! You order from a kiosk so it's super quick and easy. The staff are also always so kind and fast and efficient! They also will remake your drink if they forgot something, but they're usually really good at getting it exactly right! The staff all recognize us now lol, it's our ride or die boba spot in such a convenient location to many shops and restaurants. The tie guan yin oolong is my favorite :)“

“I ordered a simple Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba and Tea Jelly at 50% sugar.
My partner ordered the Mango Pomelo, subbed sago to Boba and added Tea Jelly, also at 50% sugar.
We both loved our drinks, a lot. We might try without Boba next time as we felt it didn't have a ton of flavor, although the texture / chewyness was great.
Definitely keeping the Tea Jelly as a topping, it was great.
Absolutely will return in the future!

“This place’s menu is so diverse; there’s literally something for everyone. I wish I lived close so I could try out all their drinks. I ordered the strawberry milk with brown sugar boba because it said it was new and I’ve never had banana milk before so why not try a strawberry version of it while on vacation?
The boba was perfectly chewy and cooked just right. The milk itself was creamy and flavorful. The size was a little small for the price, but it was ready rather quickly, so that was nice. I liked how you could order at a kiosk.“
