“Buns we're pretty good and really affordable. My big complaint is that the bus cart they push around every 5 minutes sounds like nails on a chalk board. Makes my skin crawl its so loud. You guys should get a can of WD-40 and lube the wheels on it.“

“Ox 9 in Cupertino is consistent in quality with all other locations I've tried. I always enjoy the Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles for their noodle texture and broth flavor--incredibly soothing and satisfying. Looking forward to visiting this location more as the weather cools down 🙂↕️“

“The soap was very tasty, it had a lot of flavor and wasn't too salty. The noodles were great as well, they were long and chewy. There was also a good amount of meat and vegs as well. One bowl of soap coated me around 20 dollars before tip and they only took cash.“

“We came to Ping’s Bistro for a weekend lunch and were completely blown away by the vibrant flavors, beautiful presentation, and high-quality ingredients. The restaurant offers authentic Yunnan and Dai-style Chinese cuisine — dishes that are aromatic, balanced, and full of depth without being overly heavy.
We ordered a mix of dishes to share:
• Dai Style Deep-Fried Pork Ribs – Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, perfectly seasoned with a hint of lemongrass. The dipping sauce was tangy and refreshing, cutting through the richness of the pork. A must-order appetizer!
• Fried Rice with Boletus, Green Pepper & Beef – One of the best fried rice dishes we’ve ever had. Each grain was infused with wok hei and balanced beautifully with earthy mushrooms and mild heat from green peppers.
• Stir-Fried Chayote Leaves with Dried Chili Peppers – Fresh, tender greens stir-fried to perfection with garlic and dried chili. Simple, clean, and full of natural flavor.
• Signature Grilled Fish with Lemongrass – The star of the meal. The fish was grilled to a beautiful char and topped with fragrant herbs, garlic, lime, and chili. The lemongrass aroma elevated the dish to another level — spicy, citrusy, and deeply satisfying.
• Sautéed Black Termite Mushroom, Maitake, Cordyceps Flower Velvet – A rare treat! The mix of mushrooms gave layers of texture — chewy, soft, and crisp — with an earthy umami flavor.
• Country-Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus – Homestyle comfort at its best. The soft eggs and wood ear mushrooms soaked up the sauce beautifully, creating a rich, balanced bite every time.
• Sautéed Beef with Pickled Mustard – Tender beef slices paired with tangy mustard greens and red peppers — a bold yet harmonious flavor combination.
Every dish came out piping hot, beautifully plated, and perfectly portioned for sharing. The flavors were authentic, and the seasoning was carefully balanced — not too oily or salty.
The restaurant’s atmosphere is calm and modern, with large windows that bring in plenty of natural light. Service was attentive and efficient; our server helped us select dishes according to our spice preference (“less spicy”) and ensured we had a smooth dining experience.
For anyone who loves discovering regional Chinese cuisines beyond the usual Cantonese or Sichuan offerings, Ping’s Bistro is a must-visit. It’s perfect for group dining or a casual yet refined family meal.
- Favorite dishes: Dai-style pork ribs, grilled lemongrass fish, boletus beef fried rice.
- Spice level: Adjustable – just ask for “less spicy” if you prefer mild.
- Portion: Generous and great for sharing.
Highly recommended — this place deserves way more attention in Cupertino’s dining scene!“

“I got the beef spicy mix and it was really delicious! Spicy and fragrant and very well seasoned. Really nice assortment of ingredients, and everything was well cooked. The unlimited rice was a nice touch too, even tho I didn’t need it. Good price for the amount of food and I had enough leftover for lunch the next day.“

“Authentic, mouth-watering Dim Sum. Our family had the steamed buns stuffed with pork, but it might be more accurate to call them soup dumplings. These were incredibly savory, served at just the right temperature to be warm but not scalding. We also got the stir-fried string beans, the scallion pancakes, the pot stickers, and the pork with tofu strips. All dishes were served at a reasonable speed and they even accommodated our request for less salt, which not many restaurants have.“

“This is my favorite Chinese restaurant, just discovered within the last few months. My extended family always goes out for Chinese food (we are Chinese) when we get together so we've been to many restaurants in Santa Clara County. Everyone in our big group thought it was very good.“
“The boss is so cute! Very funny and heartwarmingQuote: "It doesn't taste good just because everyone's taste is different.""I can't say it's the best, but it's really delicious.""Don't buy too much for your first time here. What if the taste doesn't suit your taste?"Although it is a bit salty, it is delicious. Recommended!“

“Dainty cuisine’s chive pancakes and Shanghai fresh meat buns are absolutely delicious! I had ordered them yesterday, it amazing—thin, crispy skin with a generous filling, bursting with flavor in every bite, not greasy at all, with just the right amount of savory goodness. The front desk service is warm and welcoming, and I highly recommend it to anyone! Also the fresh meat buns, I satisfy in every steaming hot bite! The salty rice balls are also a pleasant surprise, with super crispy fried dough sticks and a flavor that makes them the perfect breakfast choice!“
“Came from out of town for work. Randomly stumbled upon this little jam. The 滷肉拌麵 is so tasty I don't know how to describe it. You would have to try it yourself. And it's only $10?! Where do you find cheap yummy food like this. They take credit cards, but no AMEX. Take out only.“
“We came to this place for lunch. we heard about this place from many people. Well, we were not disappointed. The crew were extremely nice and we felt excellent. The meal was great. We had a great time and we shall absolutely come back again. Recommended.“

“A causal eatery serving authentic Cantonese rice noodle rolls stuffed with different types of meats, seafood or vegetables. The rice rolls with beef stew, bbq pork or shrimp were consistently good, but those with pork liver tasted gamy on the day we went. We also had the Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, which was quite good. They also serve traditional Cantonese savory rice congee with meats and other types of Cantonese street foods. Service was fast. Price was reasonable.“

“Great new spot! A Chinese friend introduced me to this place, and I was pleasantly surprised. The spice level wasn’t as overpowering as I expected—even the “very spicy” option had a nice, clean heat that was really enjoyable. If you’re sensitive to spice, it might be a bit much, but I found it just right. The ingredients were fresh, and the sauce bar offered a great variety. I’ll definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend!“

“I really like the food here, it is always delicious and well prepared. I usually order takeout, and the experience is generally smooth. However, one thing to be aware of is that they automatically add a tip to takeout orders. I can’t remember the exact percentage, but it’s at least 10%. You have to manually adjust or remove the tip if you don’t want to include it, which isn’t always obvious. If you are in a rush or not paying attention, you might end up tipping for takeout without realizing it. Just something to keep in mind when ordering!“

“I want to gatekeep this place, but I want this restaurant to do well. We've been eating here for a few years, their drypot can't be beat. It's really delicious. You pick what you want to go in, and pick a spice level, and they'll cook it for you. Dining in also comes with a nice complementary sweet tea, which helps with the spice. We usually get it with rice. They're a good spicy for casual spice eaters. Probably not stupid spicy for those who really fixate on it.“

“Very tasty Chinese BBQ. I enjoyed the meat skewers, they were seasoned very well. Our group especially liked the grilled vegetables, the grilled green beans were excellent and the grilled mushrooms were truly divine. The atmosphere is great, it's a clean, well-lit place with nice Chinese decor. And our server was very friendly. All in all we had a great experience at this restaurant and highly recommend it.
Parking: Parking is very easy.“

“Chicken & rice is everywhere now, but I think the chicken here is very tender and the selection is convenient.
The rice can be replaced with salad, when I want to eat a diet meal, I will buy chicken + salad here , or tofu .
Chicken can choose: white / dark meat with skin or without skin
The ginger sauce , Singapore soy sauce are my flavor sauce !“

“Such delicious food for a great price. The hainanese chicken was succulent and the spring onion sauce was perfect for the chicken rice. I loved the vegetable with seafood too, cooked with delicious peanuts. The laksa is not like the one from Singapore, definitely a new creation.“

“This place is spacious inside. If you come during peak time, there's usually a line. Their food comes quickly, so the wait usually isn't too bad.
The XLB is juicy inside and the dumpling size is bigger than Ding Tai Fung's. I'd say the skin is as thin and comparable to Ding Tai Fung's too. We tried all three kinds: the regular pork ones, pork with crab meat, and the shrimp with loofah squash. They're all good.
The flavor of the three-cup chicken is good, however, too many bones. They chopped the chicken with bones and there were fragmented bone pieces. You'll need to be careful when eating this dish.
Their steamed beef dumplings are good, but a bit on the salty side.
The sliced beef and cucumber roll with green onion pancake is so-so. Only has one thin slice of beef and there's not enough meat inside, compared to other restaurants I tried.
Their fried rice are tasty. We tried a few before and they're all decent. The picture below is the Sakura Shrimp fried rice and it's very flavorful without being too salty.
The steamed sole fish (filet) is surprisingly good. Worth a try if you haven't ordered this before, and no fish bones!
Their scrambled eggs with prawns is good. A lot of prawns and tasty eggs. A good protein dish.
Their sauteed veggies are pretty good too. We tried the sauteed A-choy and bitter melon with garlic. Both dishes are decent.
The boiled tofu with house special sauce is excellent.
If you don't want to wait for long line at Ding Tai Fung, this is the place to come. Of course if you want way better (Americanized) service, go to Ding Tai Fung. This service at this place is like typical authentic Chinese restaurants, don't expect too much.“

“I love eating at red hot wok, probably one of the best Taiwanese restaurants in the area.
Recommended dishes: sizzling lamb with black pepper sauce( you can choose any protein with the sauce, personally I prefer lamb), three cup chicken, stir fried lamb with bamboo shoots.“

“The waitress are nice. The beef gravy noodle and hk milk tea are good.
The wonton is only ok. Kind of dry and dense.
They have a promo now each $10 spent will have a token for the crawl machine. But it’s hard to get anything.“

“I admit I mostly came for the vegan braised pork rice and it did not disappoint. It was so so good.
I wish the green onion pancakes were vegetarian but I'm very excited to try the rest of the vegan menu and appreciate that they have it!“

“Great food and fast service with the food coming out within 10 minutes. Prices are on the higher side, but there are large and good portions. The best dish is the eggplant which was quite flavorful. Watch out since many of the dishes are a little greasy.“

“Staff are friendly and helpful, I have been a customer since early 2023. Even new staff members are very patient with difficult and demanding customers. I witnessed it myself at one incident on October 16 2025 when a female staff member named Regina and another teammate handled an aggressive female customers. They gave her extra food and kept calm even though in my view, the attitude of the guest is very unnecessary angry.“

“Great experience! The broth base was rich and well-seasoned—far beyond expectations for a rotating buffet hotpot. Ingredients were fresh, and picking dishes from the belt was fun and easy. No tips means it’s fully DIY, which actually suits me well—I love eating without interruptions or forced mid-meal check-ins. I’ll definitely come back again!“
