“Baked BBQ Pork Bun was the best that I've had. Dim sum was a lot more expensive than the last time I visited. I thought that it was cheap that time, this time it was not expensive, but definitely not as reasonable. Food was still pretty good, but just not as good as several other favorite places around the country. Cash only!“

“Best first time experience ever!!! Had a group of 5 and we called in advance and they were so accommodating. Food was delicious and service was fast. We met the owner/chef and he was so kind to us. Highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back!“

“Have dinner here now 3+ times... Basement is loud when big groups at round tables. Would be better to ask or make rez for upstairs for parties smaller of 6 or less. Duck is the best ! Service is quick and efficient. Did have to wait 20 minutes even though has reservation.“

“We love their bake bbq pork buns. They are on the smaller side but the filler was good with plenty of pork, not so much fat and just the right flavor. Not excessively salty or sweet. The bun is thin and not doughy. The bun and the filling balances well with each other. I’ve tried their other items too and they are also pretty good.“

“Try it all. Everything was delicious and very affordable 😋 I sampled 7 different kinds of dim sum, a BBQ bun and the egg tarts for $18. I was a little overwhelmed when I first looked at the extensive menu, but the lovely lady at the counter was very patient with me😊. She gathered my goodies into little clam boxes as I called out the numbers of the tasty looking dishes and pointed at the beautiful buns. I'm kicking myself that I didn't get more.“

“I just back from Taiwan and was craving red braised beef noodle soup. This was better than most of the ones I had in Taiwan! Flavorful broth, chewy noodles, and tender meat. Highly recommend. I’ve already ordered it for delivery a few times and recommended it to a few friends.“

“A relax old school dim sum place to enjoy sumptuous good dim sum. A favourite place for the senior regular. They even helped themself to refill the tea. A friendly place if u are familiar with old sch dim sum culture.
Food was big in portion and best of all, they don't charge tax which is very very rare in US.
Service was good by the old lady even though they are busy.
This will be my regular dim sum store whenever I visit San Francisco.“

“Such amazing food!!! My wife and I got the Beef Pan Fried Mixed Vegetable Noodles and Half a BBQ Roasted Duck and they were both excellent!
Carol and John treated us so well and we even received a complimentary Red Bean Soup for dessert that was so surprisingly sweet for a bean soup!!
It's a little bright in there but the lighting wasn't aggressive and the seating is in a beautiful space. Great date spot!“

“Great service and some of the best Chinese food I have had. Everything tasted very fresh. The vegetables had a good crunch and the dimsum was outstanding. The siumai was large and the chicken feet had great umami. The sweet and sour pork had really good flavor, texture, and crunch.
The beef chow fun came in a big portion. The tofu beef was amazing. The kung pao chicken had lots of peanuts which made it extra tasty. The beef spareribs were huge with a crispy outside and a tender inside and they were seasoned really well.
The service was great from start to finish. For the first time ever in a Chinese restaurant we did not have any take home food because we devoured everything.“

“I love this place! Delicious har gow, bbq pork buns, and chicken siu mai. The dumplings have a delicious chewy texture, and the pastry/buns are always amazing. Everything tastes so fresh and it feels like they put a lot of care and love into their food. I like their Hong Kong milk tea as well!“

“Whenever I visit San Francisco, I have to stop here. Where I live we don’t really have quality dim sum options, so visiting here is critical :) This place is well priced, quick for service, and delicious. For visitors, unfamiliar with dim sum places, you gotta always bring cash. It’s cash only. I’ll definitely return soon“

“My Seafood Tofu soup came out quickly after I was served hot tea immediately. Everything is priced decent for the area. I was just in for a quick lunch so that is all I ordered, but when I come back I plan to try more of the menu. It was a good portion, full of seafood and yummy.“

“Absolutely fell in LOVE with this place and this will be my go to place for dim sum in SF from now on. I discovered this gem when the line at good mong kok bakery was too long. There seemed to be plenty of locals in the restaurant so I decided to give it a shot. I spent around $40 got plenty of dim sum for the family to go around. The dim sum was hot, plump, and filled with meat!
We tried new moon last time, and was extremely disappointed because it was cold!! Plus, the have seating in the back. We will be coming back here. Bring cash!“

“When I'm in the Sunset District in San Francisco, I like to pick up some bao at Mongkok Dim Sum before I go home. They were busier a few years ago, but the line is much shorter now compared to a few years ago after a competitor opened in the area. Their dim sum is still good, and the service is pretty much the same as before. Fast and easy is good for me. I’ll still stop by next time I’m in the area.“

“Hands down, my favorite place in San Francisco!!! This place has EXCELLENT, delicious dim sum and food.The spicy pork soup dumplings are some of the best I've had. Get two orders. I've tried the Singapore style noodles, (excellent if you want to add a mild flavorful noodle dish to your dinner spread). The staff is exceptionally kind, helpful, courteous and accommodating. The place is clean and inviting. The food is delicious. Thank you Ken, Jessica, Andy and Yia-Yia. Go and eat in for the lunch specials and dinner! Try the egg yolk custard buns too! Best thing ever. I've had the Mongolian Beef, Beef with String Beans, Singapore Noodles, Shu Mai, BBQ pork buns, all delicious never had a bad meal here! Go! It's delicious 🤤🤤“

“Some wins (spicy siu mai, mini spicy potstickers, har gow, bbq pork bun), some fine but not outstanding and probably would not go out of my way to order again (scallion pancake, XLB, regular potsticker, Dan Dan noodle). Nice bright cafe vibe (went lunch time). QR code ordering at tables which was really annoying (lost my order twice due to website difficulties). Nice lunch for a Monday afternoon.“

“So delicious. Had the pork sheng jian bao, chili oil wonton and Chinese broccoli. Pork sheng jian baos were amazing, the soup was delicious, and the crispy bottom was a nice touch to the soup dumpling, something i don't see often. Chili oil wonton were delicious as well. Service was timely and friendly. I would definitely come back here again.

“Authentic dim sum restaurant. We dine in and had some Shuman, shrimp rice noodle roll, and Custard bun. Food was great except the rice noodle roll was too much noodle and not enough shrimp. We ended up getting some more buns and dim sum togo.“

“We loved this place so much that we went back two days in a row. You get so much food at such a great price. We ordered the baked BBQ buns, spring rolls and fried dumplings and our total was $8. We decided to get some pastries and the coconut buns were $0.30/piece and so yummy! The restaurant is tiny but the food is authentic. We will definitely be back next time we visit San Francisco. 😋“

We have been here / taken out many times. All the food is flavorful. Lots of good choices we rotate through on the menu but I always get the pan fried kurobuta pork baos.
Some Chinese places I find the food under seasoned or maybe not that well cooked, however this place does a great job. Everything is well seasoned and even simple dishes like mixed veggies - all the veggies were cooked well with beautiful bright green color and slight crunch/not overcooked. “We loved just about everything we ordered here but I can only specifically remember (other than the pork ribs) that the buns were pork and the shumai were shrimp because otherwise we really just pointed at the items we wanted and ate without worry. We sat outside and food came out almost immediately. Definitely will be back.“

The food was amazing. All the ingredients tasted fresh and high quality. The flavors were well balanced and complex. Generous portions at such a reasonable price.
Highly recommend the spicy braised beef noodle soup with the signature housemade noodles. The noodles were cooked to perfection with a nice bite and chewiness without being doughy, and were flavorful thanks for the rich broth. The soup has a kick which was entirely welcome and the spice paired well with the sourness, cutting through the heaviness of both the beef and the wheat noodles. Will definitely be back to enjoy more!
The green peppercorn fish noodle soup was light and clean without any fishiness ruining the dish. I would want more peppercorn flavor though for me to strongly recommend.“
