“The food here is delicious. I like to eat this dandan noodles the most, the noodles have a little bit of QQ. The xiaolongbao here are delicious.
It's also very beautiful here, with many cat paintings.
I will definitely come again next time.“

“For dinner, the foods were ok. Service was mediocre at best. Also, parking (street only) can be horrible during weekends and holidays.“

“We came here to celebrate mother’s days. Their food is very good. Service is a hit or miss. Their portions are getting a little bit smaller but the food is still very good. We usually order: shrimp with walnut, Crispy fried Chicken with Shrimp Chips, peasprouts & garlic, sweet and sour fish, broccoli mushroom and beef (yummy), and a claypot with eggplant. I would definitely come back .“

“This family-run restaurant more than live up to the 5-star reviews and our daughter’s recommendation. What a nice experience: from making the reservation to friendly greeting on arrival, through delicious dessert. Authentic HK cuisine draws SF locals and visitors from all over Asia. Server helped us pick a variety of dim sum and other dishes for our party of 6. Beyond the terrific dumplings, our favorites were Drunken Chicken, Steamed Chilean Seabass, Seafood Ma Po Tofu, Ribeye with Mushroom, and Gai Choy. For dessert we split Egg Yolk Cake, Fried Sesame Ball, and Mango Pudding. We’ll be back, and I highly recommend the restaurant.“

“Hands down my fav dim sum place by far. Point and choose. Just about every type of dumpling you can think of. Always a line. And such a good prices. Cash only. Most people take it to go. But you can sit on basic tables with bare minimum for ambiance. Still a winner no matter what you choose.“

“Excellent Peking Duck but served as only 1 course. Had to wait b20 minutes for our 7:30 reservations. Service was good but not at a professional level. Wine choices are limited but all in all a very good experience and will return when back in the city.“

“Came here two days in a row for a few items to have as breakfast, great pricing and the lady was very helpful. There is a bit of waiting in the morning on certain items but I believe it was worth waiting. Also there’s one medium size table to be able to dine in but other than that it’s mostly take out.“

“We had a great experience here! It was our first time having dim sum. We were visiting from out of town and enjoyed this restaurant because we could make a reservation for six before coming to town. It was hard to find a place to enjoy doing some and be able to make a reservation also. I did have to call to make the reservation but it was easy to do. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have egg tarts in the evening because that was something I really wanted to try. But everything else on the menu that we tried was very good. The service was great!“

“This place is fantastic. The food was incredible and was exactly what you want when you think to yourself “I want some dumplings”. We had the chicken and pork xiao long bao, Brussel sprouts, green onion pancakes, ginger and scallion noodles, bbq pork steamed dumplings, and siu mai. Of course had to finish it off with sesame balls which were amazing. Everything was superb and came out piping hot. Service was unbelievably fast. Our server forgot our tea and the dipping vinegar but when I mentioned it, it was quickly remedied. I highly recommend stopping in!!“

“Out of all the dumpling places in the city, this place is among one of the best. And I can even say it’s better than dumpling home at Hayes valley. Potsticker and Shengjianbao are extremely juicy and fresh. The big plate pork ribs is phenomenal. Price is extremely good for the city. Highly recommend!!!!“

“I love this place! Delicious har gow, bbq pork buns, and chicken siu mai. The dumplings have a delicious chewy texture, and the pastry/buns are always amazing. Everything tastes so fresh and it feels like they put a lot of care and love into their food. I like their Hong Kong milk tea as well!“

“I personally don’t think the barbecued pork bun is particularly delicious, but overall it’s okay. I don’t know why there are so many people queuing up 😂 Maybe it’s because the price is very cheap. A barbecued pork bun only costs two yuan.“

“Cheap, big portions, good flavors. Recommend the spare ribs over rice, shrimp dumplings, and fried shrimp ball. A “cafeteria” style restaurant, that was very full when we went. May have to wait for tea and table cleaning, but food came out really fast.“

“This place has the best crispy bbq pork buns. It's not really a dim sum but that and the mochi buns were the best things they have in my opinion. They usually sell out by 10am or even earlier but you can call it in and it takes them 20-30 minutes to make it.“

“I popped in for a quick lunch on a Monday, there was only one other table seated so no wait. I thought about going for one of the lunch specials, but dumplings aren't on there (think traditional US Chinese dishes like General Tso's). I ordered the Shanghai Dumplings and the Wontons in Peanut Chili oil, for a whole $14. The shanghai dumplings were nothing special, but a great price point. The wontons were great, the sauce had good texture.
For a drink, he just set down hot tea in a disposable coffee cup which I found odd considering I was dining in.
All in all, super fast, super cheap, and solid food.“

“Have been here a few times now and this is probably my favorite dumpling place in the city. The real star is the sheng jian bao (not sure what they call it in the english menu). This is the only place that I have that comes anything close to what it would taste like in Shanghai. The Hong Kong pan fried noodles here are also really great. I grew up eating this dish as a kid and it is still a favorite of mine as an adult. The mongolian beef here is also quite good.
The soup dumplings are good but not great. The meat is a bit bland and the proportions are a bit off. I would stay away from the scallion pancake as it isn't that great.
Food comes out fast and the prices are pretty reasonable. We spent about $20 per person.“

“No wait to sit down which is uncommon for dim sum in the area. Friendly and quick service despite being understaffed. They were out of quite a few items on the menu. The scallion oil noodles just tasted like soy sauce, I don't recommend those. I do recommend the bbq pork buns, string beans, and pork sheng jian bao. The last two are a must order!“

“Every time I stop by this place,I pick up 1 or 2 of their baked char siu bao. I usually finish them before I can walk 2 or 3 blocks away but hey they're meant to be enjoyed. It's not a typical char siu bao because this one has a sweet soft white crust on top that's almost reminiscent of a pineapple buns top. It costs $2 each and it's worth a try if you want to experience a variant on the char siu bao.
The ladies working there are friendly and efficient. It's a small shop so it's best as a grab and go place.“

“Whenever I visit San Francisco, I have to stop here. Where I live we don’t really have quality dim sum options, so visiting here is critical :) This place is well priced, quick for service, and delicious. For visitors, unfamiliar with dim sum places, you gotta always bring cash. It’s cash only. I’ll definitely return soon“

“We came here to try the bbq fried rice. They are called a dim sum cafe but people who were eating here seemed to be ordering more a la carte/entree type dishes.
It looked like your typical restaurant in the area. Nothing fancy but pretty busy. Our bbq fried rice was fresh and tasty. Simple but satisfying and reasonably priced.“

“May2025 No frills counter style servings which is what you should expect in SFO Chinatown. The food to a certain extent is old style of making traditional Chinese fare. What turns people off is often the prices but this is SFO.
One must manage one's expectations and dine here within the proper context of immigrants catering to tourism.“

“The prices are super affordable, making it perfect for a casual meal or a quick to go. Their siu mai is absolutely unbeatable—perfectly steamed, juicy, and packed with flavor. The rest of the dim sum menu is equally delicious, with a great variety of classic options. If you’re looking for authentic dim sum without breaking the bank, this is the spot to go. Highly recommend! Plus it has a great bakery next door to it which makes me always come back.“

“It’s so delicious I came to Sanfan for a conference trip and lived in this community. What I look forward to most every morning is to go to his house for breakfast. It has a more authentic morning tea and has everything. It’s so happy for the treasures from the Midwest.“

“Came here with a friend and had a reservation and got seated immediately.
Good:
- The ordering experience was all digital so it was easy to place and order and get the food to your table
- I liked the beef noodle soup a lot, the noodles were very chewy and also the flavor of the soup was good and not too salty
- The XLB assorted variety was so fun - I liked each one including the spicy one, it wasn't too spicy
- The mapo tofu was a surprise hit! I liked how we paired it with rice and how savory it was.
- The inside is like a nightclub mixed with a casual diner, it's pretty unique
Bad:
- Hard to get the servers to come to you, we had to flag them each time to get us something
Overall this was a fun casual Chinese dimsum experience, but overall felt like I wouldn't come again since it's pretty far from my stomping grounds and a bit of a journey and trek to get normal food.“

“When I'm in the Sunset District in San Francisco, I like to pick up some bao at Mongkok Dim Sum before I go home. They were busier a few years ago, but the line is much shorter now compared to a few years ago after a competitor opened in the area. Their dim sum is still good, and the service is pretty much the same as before. Fast and easy is good for me. I’ll still stop by next time I’m in the area.“

“TC Pastry is one of the best take away Dim Sum place in the Sunset district. Especially, the service is professional, staff very attentive, and customer oriented. The food is good, price is competitive. If you buy cilantro rolls that they do not have at the counter, they will make them for you, only about 5 minutes wait.“

“I've come here for over two decades now. I love to come here for the har gow. The best I've had anywhere hands down. The other dumplings are also really good as well as the congee. I wouldn't say the sweet pastries are all that good though. The staff are very efficient but minimal on the charm as is common with these kinds of places. Finally they brought back seating after many many years without it due to covid. Cash only.“
