“Ray my favorite waiter was again 100% and made for an enjoyable evening. John's menu hasn't changed in at least ten and possibly more years. Some additions would be welcome. Nonetheless, John's Historical Grill is the ultimate San Francisco experience and I am happy to see it thrive. Richard Alexander would like it even more if the baseball hat and t-shirt crowd was sequestered but they seem to dominate and the customer is always right and the house was filled Saturday for dinner - a testament to its reknown.“

“We had shrimp cocktail, French onion soup, wedge salad, 20 oz ribeye with a baked potato, and a banoffee tart for dessert. We split each course and the waitstaff had the chef plate it all separately for us which made sharing easier.“

“We had such a great experience at ABSteak by Chef Akira Back. The quality of the meat was exceptional, and the tableside grilling made the dinner feel special and interactive. Everything we tried was flavorful and beautifully prepared, especially the wagyu and the Korean-inspired dishes.
The restaurant has a sophisticated, modern atmosphere, while the service was attentive and professional throughout the evening. It’s definitely a more elevated take on Korean BBQ and a great choice for a special dinner or date night in San Francisco.
We really enjoyed our experience and would happily come back!

“I’ve been coming to Izzy’s for 35 years. This was the first time I’ve been back since the remodel 6 months ago. As usual the steaks and sides were fabulous. However, the four of us ordered several glasses of wine and the “pours” were pathetic! I don’t mind paying top dollar for a glass of wine but I don’t appreciate a 1/4 glass of wine that was barely two sips! Don’t try to pay off your remodel expenses by cheap skating your wine pours! “I ate there last week for the first time in several years. The menu is large and many different styles of food. I had the Prime Rib and it was EXCELLENT. There was 2 others in my party and they were equally impressed. Another benefit is that there are no parking problems. I will definitely eat there again.“

“What a great experience dining at Geneva Steak! Will be back soon. Probably nowhere in Norcal you can get a steak this cheap and this well-cooked and high quality. Service is quick, attentive, and unobtrusive - the holy trinity of a dining experience. Wonderful, wonderful spot. They know EXACTLY what they are doing, and their dessert options are good as well. I recommend the thousand island dressing.“

“We arrived before our reservation time and they were able to accommodate. Our waiter was great with detailing the dishes and answering my culinary questions. Service was slow. It took nearly 25 minutes to receive cocktails. I had to inquire about appetizers which were ordered with cocktails. The GM was very present and walking the dining area but not speaking to any guests or acknowledging that they are waiting without drinks and food. The food was good. I have a different palate so my good may great for another person. The only negative was how long everything took when it wasn’t a night where there was a full house of guests. If that can improve, we may return. For context we ordered Smoked Bourbon Prickly Pear Margarita Calamari Crab & Artichoke Dip Crab Stuffed Sole topped with roasted garlic and shallot shrimp and a side of mashed potatoes Ribeye with compound butter and Cold Water Lobster Tail We switched from cocktails to wine with the main dish.“

“Old school steakhouse that focuses more on flavor and large portions than variety or top quality cuts. If you're thinking Ruth's Chris or even Texas Roadhouse you're barking up the wrong tree. This is more like a diner steak, but executed very well. Your choices are prime rib or NY strip with a short list of sides (price includes salad, potato, and one vegetable). There might have been some kind of fish or mushroom option but no one is ordering it. NY Steak was large, cut about 1/2 inch thick, cooked properly, and smothered in peppercorn sauce. Prime rib was enormous. Prices were highish but fair for the portion and quality. Decor is dated but that's part of the charm. If you want to fuss over marbling and boutique cuts go somewhere else, but if you know what you're getting into this can be a great dining experience.“

“Our dining experience at Morton's The Steakhouse in San Francisco was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we walked into the elegant, clubby space, the service was impeccable. We ordered their signature aged prime beef, and it was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The seafood appetizers were incredibly fresh as well. It is the perfect spot for a special celebration or a romantic dinner. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a top-tier steak!“
