“Such a great high energy Brewery in Del Mar right by the horse-track. Beer is phenomenal, food is great (good amount of options) and atmosphere is electric! We even got a rainbow to enjoy during our meal! One thing, this place is popular, parking can be a pain, but there is a pay lot right next door. Pricey, $8 for two hours.“
“Visiting from Chicago and I’m a huge beer fan, especially hazy IPAs. Pure project has mastered the murky IPA. I was impressed with not only the beer but how knowledgeable the staff were. Bill served me and had spot on recommendations for what I was looking for. I could tell he was very passionate about the beer and the scene. Overall superb experience. It’s a must stop when visiting San Diego.“
“Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a low sugared, 5% alcoholic content beverage. Kove has a good number of choices, various samples and flavors to try (nice of the staff, who were friendly and welcoming). The entire place has a great atmosphere, indoor seating as well as outdoor setup. Kome on by to try the best yerba mate I have ever had.“
“Update 7/19/2023: This place still rocks! They are a two person brewery team that really cares about what they make and have a fun/creative attitude to the names they assign to these great beers!Previous Review: Great small brewery run by just two guys. They're mellow, smart, and friendly.... Oh and the beers are great. My wife loves their brown ale (Recluse). My boy loves their root beer with a cinnamon punch. I love their IPAs (Cow Bell and More Cow Bell) as well as the dark ale (Basilisks).“
“I have had many great experiences here. I usually sit up at the bar and the staff are all super knowledgeable and friendly. One thing to note is that it can get really crowded on days that are sunny/summer days when the beach is crowded. This goes for all of downtown Encinitas. Lots of people bring their dogs as well so that is a huge plus“
“There are no other NA beer offerings that even come close to Athletic Brewing! I'm a huge IPA lover and the Run Wild is almost always stocked in my fridge. That said, the new sours they have been dropping are not to be missed. So good!“
“Hopanonymous checks all the important boxes: delicious beers, laid back crowd and atmosphere, friendly staff. Nice selection of hoppy and light beers and occasionally sours. One of my favorite beers is the two amigos. I think they have food trucks most days of the week but haven’t tried any yet. This place has become one of my favorite breweries and still relatively unknown, do not sleep on this place!!“

“This is a cool and popular place to hang out I am not the cider biggest fan but tried one of their flights They were mostly good except the apricot which was very bitterService was fineTap payment didn't workI wish they had a few beer options“
“The craft beers are delicious . The atmosphere is amazing. Great place to sit and drink chat with people or view Walkers by on Coast Highway. They also have art for sale by local artists. Siobhan was our sommelier. She was friendly and knowledgeable. I will be sure to stop by there every time I go through Encinitas.“
“This place is heaven. They have so many different meads to try and knowledgeable staff. The meads range from very sweet like lemonade to something more like a beer. The Lemon Cello is my personal favorite with its sweet and delicious flavor. The flight samplers are a good value for the quantity of drinks they give you. They don't serve any food but they are in a square with some other businesses that do serve food. Its a really great space to relax and enjoy with friends.“
“Came in to catch SDSU play in the first round of Men's NCAA tournament. All beers were $1 off while the game was on. Tried the light beer and the Belgium dark ale. Both were tasty. Our pourer was friendly and engaging. Overall a great way to spend a bit of time over great beers and catching the game. Oh and SDSU won!“
“A tucked away (almost hidden), very casual bar with a laid-back atmosphere and good variety of beers. The decor is military themed. There is a handful of small tables, a couple of couches, a pool table, a dartboard, and a variety of games for entertainment. The beer selections change often, but you are sure to find something you like. Prices are competitive for a variety of sizes, and small tasters are at no charge. Saturday night bartender has a great personality! She was friendly and helpful about the beer offerings.Highly recommend you give them a visit. They may easily become a favorite brewery stop.“
“Stopped by because I saw the roll-up door was open. Usually they're closed when I've been in the area. I was blown away by the owner's sweet hospitality, welcoming me in even though he wasn't technically open and was preparing a delivery to a local high-end restaurant. (BTW, his ginger beer is sold at Seaside Market!) He told me a little about his story, how he got started and offered me a few samples to try, beginning with the award-winning flavor that had yuzu, mint, and something else. It was yummy! Looked like there were around 8-10 flavors on tap including a POG, matcha and ube. How fun is that! If you stop in on a typical day, there is some seating, merch to purchase and various flavors of ginger beer on tap to try. And the best part is you can take some for the road. I wasn't a fan of the ube flavored ginger beer but go try it and decide for yourself. There's gotta be some fans otherwise it wouldn't be featured.“
“Great staff! Spacious & clean throughout! The establishment hosts several EVENTS ON SITE, from COMIC / ANIME MINI CONVERSATIONS to PRO WRESTLING IN their main hall in the rear of the building. They don't serve food, but they have a selection of FOOD TRUCKS parked near the front entrance & they happily let you sit indoors or outdoors to enjoy your food! MASSIVE PARKING LOT!“
“Fun brewery in Miramar, on Production Ave just to the north of Miramar Road. Large warehouse type building with large beer vats, barrels, tables, and an outdoor "garden" patio. They have a great variety of beers/lagers/ales/cider and sodas. They don't serve food but they have a revolving set of food trucks so there is usually good food to go with the beer. Friendly staff and fun place to hang out with friends. Parking does get tight when they have events, but most of the nearby businesses are deserted to you can still find parking. Lots of noise from Miramar airbase with F-18c/d frequently taking off and landing. No issue with the USMC, but it does make it hard to have conversations or hold a more formal event.“

“Pretty cool venue!! Attended a work holiday party and had this brewery reserved for our department! Protector Brewery is one of many breweries in Miramar! There were outdoor/indoor seating and parking onsite or on the street. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but they had a decent selection on the menu board from IPAs to even fruity beers. I also hear they are all organic and gluten-free! I loved knowing that the brewery is owned by a Navy veteran and it's perfect for our company party since we work with veterans. The interior is welcoming, laid back, warm, and dim. It's a perfect spot for a small group or a date. The staff was also friendly and upbeat. They were approachable and seemed to enjoy being there. They had a taco truck with amazing Mexican dishes and even vegan options! I think the food trucks vary on the day. They also had fun games (i.e., dart board, kegs) and karaoke if that's your jam. It's super chill, intimate, and small. I need to go back and actually try their beer. LOL Overall, it was the perfect spot for a holiday party!“
“What a gem! We absolutely loved this place—the decor, the attentive service, and especially their beer options! I particularly appreciated their selection of lighter, less-hoppy beers. It's refreshing to find a place in the city that offers decent options on lagers and pilsners, in addition to the usual IPAs. I especially enjoyed the 'Oh Yeah!'We'll definitely be coming back for more!“
“Whenever we go to San Diego and have the opportunity we visit white la s. For us, the exercise of trying the same style of beer with two different yeasts is very interesting. On this occasion we also needed some raw material and the guy who served us at the bar was very kind and saw a way to fill our order at once. A person from the warehouse came and in a matter of minutes opened the account for us as customers and gave us what we were looking for.“
“I threw an engagement party here for my sister and her fiance. This was the easiest, best place to throw an event! Everyone was super helpful and clear on everything we could do. They accommodated many things we wanted and made the night perfect. Thank you to Brett and the team at duck foot!“

“A (literally) hidden gem. The restaurant rests beside a small pond, found only by following a trail from the parking lot. Sitting outside under a cozy heat lamp, my husband enjoyed trying several beers while I had a POG seltzer. The service was fantastic, and the food was the best we'd had in a long time. I thoroughly enjoyed the locally crafted sausages and the baked mac n cheese. I learned that the sauces and dressings are made in house. My husband had the ahi nachos - chips and sauces also made in house. We'll be coming back!“
“Absolutely incredible location in Leucadia with a chill atmosphere and welcoming tap room.First-time caller, so I went with a flight, obvs., of both West Coast as well as Double IPA's.Good but not great (hence the four stars), but gawddamn, Leucadia FTW, as this spot definitely wins for Location, Location, Location.Paz.“
“Division 23, a chill spot in Miramar, is a delightful hole in the wall, akin to stumbling upon a geospot. Though initially hidden in the back, where the garage meets the corner, ample parking eases any confusion. The IPAs are a hit, offering a cool sip for beer lovers. Opting for a recommended mixed drink, blending syrups with their seltzer, adds a delightful twist to the experience. The friendly and prompt service from the server enhances the laid-back vibe. Engaging in games like shuffleboard, karaoke, and even a hydration station adds to the cool, relaxed atmosphere. Division 23 is undoubtedly a top pick for those seeking a chill brewery experience with great drinks and a side of fun.“
“The "OG" Culture Brewery is kinda a hidden gem. It has the great vibe of a local, neighborhood brewery with friendly staff and not a pretentious feeling like some craft breweries unfortunately have. The layout is very nice with a front seating area and a "backyard" with upgraded seating facing the coast. There are some great options from IPA's, Pale Ales, Hazy IPA's, stouts, and even "seltzies". Come on a Wednesday night and it's musical bingo. Also a food truck may show up but check ahead.“
“Definitely make this a stop on your SD brew tour. We are OC residents and frequent SD visitors. Not only does this brewery do solid brews but they also have a cool “secret” tiki bar. Both are fun but due to the company in the tap house by beer slinger Keith we skipped the tiki bar all together in favor of hanging out it the tap room. Had the best time having a few beers there. If Keith is there sit yourself in the tap room and have him recommend some brews he’s good people!“
“Staff at this location goes above and beyond! The bartenders here always have a great attitude and provide excellent customer service! I normally frequent Scripps Harland location but the mood and the staff here at One Paseo really exceed. Thank you for providing amazing beer food and customer service to everyone who visits.“
“On our North Park to Escondido trip with the crew, our third stop was at New English Brewing. They offer a wide variety of beers to sample in a spacious and inviting atmosphere. So far, every beer we've tried has been poured perfectly into their glasses and tasted fantastic. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by and check them out.“

“Came to Del Mar for a nice afternoon visit with the kids. Was worried about food being too upscale. Wanted a nice beer and tried WestBrew. What an excellent choice. I had the WestBrew burger with a side salad, and it was the best food I’ve had since being in California all week. Wife had the club and loved it. They have kids menus, crayons, and kids cups. Had the seal cove and was very surprised by its delicious taste. Great choice of IPAs. Super simple little spot and would def. Recommend to anyone who comes to Del Mar for a lunch spot.Kid-friendliness: Kid menu, crayons, kids cups“
