“We came here on the last day of restaurant week for lunch. The ambiance was very nice and we had a partial view of the ocean which was good. I had the lamb meatballs which were delicious and very tender. My wife had the hummus and the pita chips were delicious. The burger and grilled cheese for main course were both very tasty. The only thing that let down the meal slightly were that the chocolate torte and the lemon tart tasted like they were bought in rather than made freshly. The chocolate torte was a bit dry and the lemon tart wasn't set. They still had great flavour. Also props to the place not having a stupid restaurant surcharge.Parking: There is a covered parking lot directly behind the restaurant with two hours free for restaurant customers.“
“We went lunch last week Saturday order food delicious and good customer service. Her name was maya I believe if wrong sorry and other gentle men forgot name but they had great attitude!!I highly recommend this place we will be back soon!!From yoshie!!!thank you kastenaboshi!!!“
“This is not a review about the place, but a review about a person that works here. His Name is Raz and let me tell you that this guy will go above and beyond for you. My wife and I were visiting the coffee place next door and lost our keys. We thought maybe we had lost them in the parking lot so we went next door to see of maybe somebody that visited the place next door had turned them in , that's when we met Raz. If the owner personally knows Raz just know that he went above and beyond to try and help us and we hope that if there is some type of employee compensation for his actions because his care, time, and compassion he displayed made our unfortunate situation go alot easier. We are visiting from out of town and I had my wife and 1 yr old daughter. Eventually we found our keys but as mentioned before if it wasn't for Raz our situation would have felt worst“
“We love love love Luna Grill. We order from this location all the time. The food is always fresh, prepared well and tastes great. The service is top notch. I've honestly never seen a place run so well with workers so polite from the moment you walk in to the moment they say goodbye.“
“Maansi - who took my order and checked me out made my day with both professionalism and big Luna grill smile. Thanks Luna always great healthy food and great people.Parking: Plenty of room and the 15 minute parking is easy for take outKid-friendliness: Always kid friendly and easy to pick up mf or bring family in“
“I came here for a early dinner with my Mom yesterday and we were blown away. The quality of the food here is impeccable, you can tell all of the ingredients are fresh. My mom loved her lemon chicken and I loved my veggie kabobs, as well as the hummus and pita bread. The employee at the register was very kind and helpful as well. We will definitely be returning very soon.“
“We had the pleasure of being transported to the Mediterranean on a recent hosted experience at the amazing restaurant Pita 22 in San Diego, California ☀️Jessica, the manager, was an absolute delight and did not disappoint with her recommendations. Each dish is made in-house and packed with flavor and freshness. With generous portion sizes, each bite left us satisfied, yet craving more. Here’s what we loved:? harissa sauce: spicy, bold flavor that packs a punch in every bite? the pita was fluffy and soft and our 8-year-old happily gobbled them up with the delicious hummus? the hummus fries were fun and flavorful? the falafel salad was a delightful combination of fresh vegetables and flavor-packed quinoa and rice that left all of us wanting more? the vegan portobello pita sandwich was delightfully delicious and satisfying, especially to our mushroom loving 5-year-old? the shakshuka was savory perfectionThe menu is extensive and adaptable and is sure to satisfy any flavor palette and desire. ?It’s in a fantastic location in a shopping plaza with ample parking. All tables were full at lunch hour with a constant stream of customers and it didn’t feel overcrowded and busy. The vibe is modern with a cozy twist, with family photos and plants throughout. This kitchen has done a lovely job adding plenty of plant-based items to the menu that are packed with freshness and flavor. We highly recommend and can’t wait to go back ??#hosted #mediterraneancuisine #greekfood #familyownedrestaurant #plantbasedfood #culinaryadventureVegetarian options: Tons of incredible vegan options!!“
“1st time at this place, we were greeted by the owner as soon as we walked in. He was very attentive and genuinely nice and wholesome. The food was amazing and fresh, saw the owner and employee making everything to order from where we were sitting. Will be back many times, I'm sure, seeing as it's 5 minutes away from my office of business and the 5 star quality of service and food“
“Fresh clean and taste delicious!!! Definitely a must. Don't miss out on Chef Boaz’s magic touch everything on Harissa's menus is, precisely seasoned Yummy.(I can't llive without Chef Boaz’s food and not just because he is my husband :)?)“
“Franky and his restaurant KILLED it! Tigris catered our AMD San Diego Spring Social today, all but GREAT reviews! Everyone all the way up to the new Corporate VP/site lead were highly impressed! You're on the map now, Franky! Thank you for the menus! There were over 40 attendees and absolutely NO COMPLAINTS!!Vegetarian options: Our staff is a mix of Vegetarians and Non-vegetarians but the the "meat lovers'" crossed over to the Vegetarian selections! You can't lose with Tigris!! I encourage you to give them a try...you'll find yourselves going back! ❤️? The Gyro and Chicken Sharwma are DELISH!!?“
“I loved my falafel wrap from here. I have been looking for a falafel with a soft core and a not too oily fried exterior, and this was exactly it. Partner got the lamb shank and I was eating the rice that came with it on its own.Ample parking .“
“When I went to eat here, I was blown away! Their food is some of the best I’ve had in years, I didn’t have a single thing wrong with my order. Their customer service is outstanding, everyone there is more than polite. I love this spot and I highly recommend eating here ?“
“This is a new Afghan restaurant in the Claremont Mesa area. They are both a grocery store and a restaurant put together as one. They have a wide variety of Afghan dishes. So far I have tried the Mantu - Afghan dumplings with meat sauce , garlic , green onions and yoghurt. I also tried the chicken kabob - very good boneless pieces of chicken bbq with rice mixed with raisins, carrots , nuts and spices. So far this is a great restaurant and I will definitely come back.“
“Date night was amazing! The drinks were good and the beet salad and filet mignon were to die for. The sauce that comes with the filet is incredible. My only regret is we didn't order 2 filets. I would sub fries for roasted beets or some other side though.“
“Perfectly fine food, the salad greens were fresh and the chicken wasn't dry. The shawarma is fine, the hummus so so, the tzatziki familiar, the pita warm but a little spongy. I liked the fried chickpeas in my salad, I guess that stood out. It's a well run branch of a fast casual chain, staffed by local teens. A functioning expression of a corporate concept.“
“Helpful staff helped walk us through the vegan options on the menu. We had the falafel plate and babaganoush with pita bread. Everything was excellent. This is the first time my son loved falafel, which was crispy on the outside and soft inside. We will definitely visit again!“
“Honestly my favorite place to eat at UCSD. The food is fresh and consistently great. The falafel is made in-house and fresh. The owner and staff are super friendly too. If I could eat here every day I would lol.Dietary restrictions: All the food/meat is Halal.“
“Delicious food, great service, beautiful evening ambiance. Everything looked so good it was hard to decide so we'll definitely be returning to try everything else on the menu! The mussels were out but the oysters were very good, the shrimp was the best, the tar tar was perfection, the smashed artichoke was the best side dish but guessing from what we saw you couldn't go wrong between any of them. I love gin and the local gin they use for their cocktails was delicious.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps to get inside to the first set of tables“
“This place is near and dear to my heart. I first went here as a 20 year old UCSD student in the late 90s and continued to eat here regularly until leaving San Diego 3 years ago. Whenever I'm back in San Diego it will be one of the first places I visit. It simply is the best kebabs I've had in my life. I say this as someone who lived in NYC and has traveled around the world a fair bit. Sure, you have to put in an order early during the lunch rush, but there is a reason for it.“
“This is my go-to place to bring my large Book Club. The patio saved us during the pandemic and continues to do so... it is large, covered and has heaters. The food is consistently ok/good with choices for every budget and many dietary options. Not fabulous, but for the price and convenience of counter/fast service, its a solid option. Plus, their loyalty app offers good deals. Wish they'd bring back shrimp though!I wish they had a warm beverage option... coffee, tea, etc. All the drinks are cold. The service and convenience of the best part. Ordering ahead online or in the app means almost no waiting, but even ordering at the counter is pretty swift. The staff is always helpful, friendly and goes out of their way for us. They're really nice to check on us throughout the evening, fix any (rare) issues, let us linger a while and clean up/rearrange tables etc after we leave. The location is good, the restrooms and restaurant always clean and there is always a lot of easy, free parking.Only thing is, sometimes the music is very loud and depending on the staff member they might not always turn it down for you.Big shout out to many of the staff members, namely Ytzul.Parking: Lots of free, close parking in the attached lot. It is a strip mall and you can park very close to the restaurant. Dedicated curb-side pick up spots too.“
“Mike's exceptional service left a lasting impression on us. His humor, energy, and attentiveness made our dining experience truly enjoyable. We were so impressed that we returned with more friends two days later. Thanks to Mike, our time here was nothing short of fantastic!“
“Enjoyed visiting this winery on December 30th.I was visting from Seattle and stopped by this place for dinner. The atmosphere was great. the bartender was friendly. the food and the wine were of great quality. They slightly overcharged my receipt by $0.95, but mistakes happen, the manager was polite and apologetic about it.I would visit this place again and highly recommend it to any travellers deciding to stop by a small little town called Encinitas in the San Diego area.“
“Ive never had Mediterranean food and let me tell you the people there showed me what to get and greeted me with open arms even let me try a little sample meat before ordering since I’ve never had lamb before and let me tell you I will forsure be coming back ! Must try they SD wrap !! S/O Bernie !“
“Someone in my office knows the owners of Oriste and had them cater an office lunch. I love Greek food but usually, the food at restaurants is bland and very dry. This is especially true for takeout. I was very surprised that the food from Oriste was the opposite. Kebabs, Shwarma, chicken, everything was good. I hope to visit their restaurant.“
“What an amazing experience with Foodiz kitchen! I organized a dinner party for my parents 30th anniversary and the most important thing for me was for the food to be nothing less than perfection as my parents are real foodies. Luckily Foodiz kitchen went above and beyond to work on the perfect menu with me. Oren and Ben were so sweet and patient with my never ending requests and changes and the end result was phenomenal! All the guests were amazed by the delicious and beautiful dinner, it was absolutely perfect and I could not recommend them enough!“
“Love this place.I usually get a combo plate of yellow rice, lentil-Quinoa mix, and vegetables (zucchini, cauliflower, onions with a mild spice), with Gyro as a meat.Combo plates come with pita and a choice of sauces (I usually get get yogurt sauce aka tzatsiki). The only problem (for me) is that everything is so good that I end up eating too much.“
“We have ordered several times for delivery. Everything we have tried has been great. However every time we order the side salad that comes with entrees is never included. It is so frustrating. They always credit us money for the oversight but it doesn’t satisfy the palate when you wants some greens to complement your entree.“
“Immediately upon walking in, we felt so welcome. The "slave" as he called himself was so friendly and accommodating. The food was fantastic! So well prepared and tasty. Great portions, great options. And the atmosphere! Wow. It's a beautiful place, and the staff made it feel that much more! Beautiful. We loved this place!“
“One of my favorite spots in Carmel Valley. Their pitas are amazing! Located in the Sky Deck, so you get the vibe but without the long restaurant wait.Vegetarian options: They have a a few dishes with vegetarian options that are super yummy.“
“Delicious food - especially loved the chicken and falafel wraps. Their sauces are a must try - my personal favorite is the spicy cilantro sauce mixed with little of their garlic sauce. Very friendly staff and well maintained place. I probably visited the place 20+ times so far and will continue to do so...Vegetarian options: Falafel wrap“
“We had a catering from this place for our small home party, and the food was FANTASTIC. Meat skewers are so tender that melt in your moth. And I don't recall myself eating rice (!) and potato(!) with such an excitement. Not a single complaint, everything is perfect. Also, placing an order was a great experience itself. Thank you!“
“I have eaten here 3 times and for the most part the food and service are very good. However, the breakfast burrito doesn't match the level of the other food, hence only 4 stars. I had the chicken sandwich, the roasted vegetable sandwich (shared lunch), the churro french toast and the breakfast burrito. Everything was so good except the burrito. The breakfast burrito is very bland, There is hardly any roasted chile in it and the pickled carrots are large sticks rather than small pieces that could have helped with the flavor. It is mostly potato and egg and needed salt. Even the salsa couldn't save it. Service is good and the setting is wonderful, right next to the ocean.“
“Wonderful cafe close to my doctor's appointment. Very tasty and very hot soups, perfect for a cold rainy day. Kind and friendly service. Found out the have another cafe on High Bluff. Indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. Glad we took the chance and will be back for sure.“
“I’ve been in the US for about 9 years and I’ve been in different states/cities. I always tried persian pizza everywhere. Kabob Lounge is the absolute best. I loved the taste and it really took me back home. The management is extremely welcoming and kind. I recommend all the dishes at this amazing restaurant.“
“As a vegetarian, the presentation of all the fresh food was my #1 sign - this was going to be good, I hoped. Then the friendly people working was another. So yes, my ancient grain salad was full of flavor, great variety & textures. It's my jam 100%. My husband enjoyed the beef w hummus & rice. Both dishes were fantastic! Highly recommended...AZ?! Healthy options are always welcome!Vegetarian options: Always looking for fresh, yet fast food- it's here!“
“Culinary gem that never fails to impress!!As a devout fan of Mediterranean cuisine, I can confidently say that this restaurant is unrivaled in its offerings.Every visit to Micheline’s Pita House is a feast for the senses. The food, without fail, is consistently fresh and bursting with flavor. The homemade hummus truly steals the show. Creamy, smooth, and packed with flavor. Paired with warm pita bread or fries it's a match made in culinary heaven.Whether you're dining in with friends or enjoying a solo meal, you'll always feel welcomed by the friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. In a city known for its diverse culinary scene, this restaurant stands out as a shining star for lovers of Mediterranean cuisine. If you find yourself in San Diego craving an authentic and delicious dining experience, look no further. You won't be disappointed!“
“The food is good, however, the portions for the price is a little high. The humus was my absolute favorite, and the salad was good as well. The meat, was not bad, but I’ve had better. Overall, I would definitely give them a second chance. Parking is a little tight, and there’s plenty of seating. Friendly staff, and good food. They also have pizza.“
“We had a delicious spread last night. I highly recommend the mezze platter and the mixed kebab plate. That is plenty of food to be shared and also gives the opportunity to try all the delicious offerings. Sorry I forgot to take pictures. The kebabs were perfectly cooked. All the spreads were great. Don't forget to get a bottle of Lebanese red wine. That was good wine as well.“
“The food is delicious. The gyros sandwiches are wonderful. Fresh and delicious. The feta fries were yummy too. Ordering was good. Food delivery was .... The food came out separately. Everything was ordered at once but each entree arrived 3-5 minute apart. 1 of the entrees was very different than ordered. They didn't seem to care that it wasn't correct. Everyone's food got cold waiting for everything to arrive. They'd deliver 1 item to one table and 2 to another. Usually each table is served in full. This was very confusing to me. And the tzatziki ordered (and we paid $1.50 for each tablespoon size serving) had to be asked for repeatedly. The order of feta fries that used to come on a big plate were now in a tiny basket. Maybe 15 fries for $6.95. Very disappointing. I asked to speak to a manager and the lady there said I could speak to her. I had already spoken to her and wanted to get a different opinion on the size of the fry order. It was very different than when I had been there prior. I keep coming back because the food is so good. But each time I leave I'm not happy on how hard it was to get the food. The service isn't bad, but it has some definite room for improvement. I'm frustrated but the food tastes so good.“
“I had an amazing experience! I love cava but there is not one close to where I live. They didn’t have my usual meatballs available but Art walked me through the other protein options and I love the honey harissa chicken I chose. May be a new fav! Lupe gave great service, getting me in and out with a smile.I’ll be sure to stop in next time I’m im the area!“
“The food is great, ambiance is nice and service is excellent. It is very consistent. It's perfect for date night or family time on the patio. My husband and I really enjoy coming here and are never disappointed. We look forward to returning.“
“Incredible service, staff is always friendly and very respectful of the timing in which they bring out the food as well as the bill. Food is always fresh and healthy every time we come, my favorites have been either the kebabs or the lamb shank. Such a peaceful place to dine and have fresh quality food.“
“Tried Park Commons on a warm February Friday, just after 12. The main hall was packed with people, but my lunch companion and I were able to place our order at the kiosk and easily find a table outdoors rather quickly. Once your order is ready, you will get a text to pick it up, which is easy enough. The food: I ordered the cheeseburger combo Cheeseburger - 3/5 stars The meat is pre-formed, not my favorite, and it had too much thousand island sauce. However, the vegetables were vibrant and fresh, and that crusty looking bun... anything but! It was so well-toasted it added to the overall flavor elevating what would be an average cheeseburger. Tots - 5/5 stars! One tiny little bag seems to hold a ton of tasty tots! They were cooked and salted to perfection, served fresh, so they were nice and hot. The combo comes with a fountain drink of your choice with free refills. Park Commons is a bit hard to find, but a nice addition to the business center. Some resident businesses are offered a 15% discount. If you are one of the lucky few and are eligible, place your order at the bar where they will key it in for you. You cannot get the discount if ordering at the kiosk.“
“Great place for a quick bite or sit down and have a conversation around good food. Lamb kobideh was great. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. The service was quick and the portions were also good. It was fresh. They also have a spicy sauce on the side, which was great. Would definitely recommend it for lunch.“
“What's there to say, the food is amazing and so consistent, I always order the chicken kabob or sirloin kabob plate with herb rice, the hummus and pita is amazing. I must say the best part of the experience is the gals at the front, Jacky is so sweet and always has a smile on her face. Will go back for sure and next will be the La Jolla location. Thanks Jacky:)“
“Grilled shrimp bowl with herb rice was excellent. Fresh ingredients and robust flavors. Portions were normal sized and I got enough to make me happy and full. There is some seating inside (4 tables), but also a nice courtyard outside for additional seating. Friendly and courteous service.“
“The cashier/food runner Rebecca is extremely insincere and frankly bad at her job. I asked for her name just so other customers can avoid an unpleasant interaction. The other employee were honestly very kind and helpful. I had asked Rebecca for a refill just to have her tell me to ask her coworker. She then proceeded to go behind the counter and flirt with the clearly uncomfortable male employee who ended up actually providing my group with satisfactory service. Food was amazing and the restaurant itself is very clean and well operated aside from the one unpleasant employee. I won't be giving one star because everything else made up for it.“
“Been going here for years and it never disappoints. The veggie combo platter is my staple order as it offers a wide variety of vegetarian dishes in one plate such as falafels, hummus, dolmas, spanakopita, etc. You also can't go wrong with their gyro sandwich special. Their French fries are surprisingly pretty solid - crispy and thick cut. They renovated the inside some time ago so it looks so much nicer. Plenty of patio seating is available as well. The service is usually pretty good. They can get quite busy so it's best to have your order ready to go before you get to the counter!“
“Absolutely love this place! I have been here 5 times now and it is very convenient if you are a UCSD student. I have tried almost every meat they offer and have only had their wraps thus far. I would note that the wraps and the boxes are the same prices but it seems like the wraps are a lot more food and excessively filling. I personally recommend the grilled steak and grilled chicken which holds a lot more flavor than the carved meats. You do have to pay a premium. The staff have always offered exceptional service and the overall vibe is very jovial within the premises. The sauces are self serve and mandatory to accompany the food. The garlic yogurt is heavenly! They offer a rewards program and have multiple locations as well. Ordering is quick, food gets to you quick and the restaurant has always been clean. I haven't confirmed this but it is likely they also offer a student discount (especially for UCSD students). Love the location as it is within a shopping center and next to a mall as well. Easily one of my top spots that I have ate at in San Diego ever since coming down here for university.“
“We love Del Mar and this is our go to restaurant. You don't need reservations and they have a nice outdoor atmosphere. The service is very friendly. The food is good and well priced. I consider this restaurant a great alternative to the expensive Californian restaurants as well as the less expensive pizza and Mexican places in town. I also have taken business lunch meetings here as the lunch menu is very reasonable. Lots of parking around if you head down 11 or 12 Ave toward the water.“
