“Had a nice burrito bowl here recently. These are tricky to do well. But they nailed it. Ingredients were in the right proportion. And they didn't skimp out on the carne asada (which plenty of places seem to do when you order a bowl). My friend was very satisfied with her al pastor tacos.

“I’ve been coming to this spot for over 20 years—back when it was Rico’s—and it’s still just as good. The Justin Burrito remains my go-to, and it never disappoints. I recently had a family get-together here and the staff was so kind and accommodating—we pushed a few tables together and they didn’t blink, just made it happen quickly and with a smile. The food came out fast and was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent, and parking is always easy. I live in Escondido now, but it’s still worth the drive whenever I’m craving really solid, satisfying tacos and burritos. A long-time favorite that keeps living up to the memories.“

“I've waited 15 years to try this place .. because I'm always rushing. Well, today I finally went in and had a meal. There is some front street parking, side parking and rear parking. There's also a bus stop less (101) than a block away but I walked to it from a nearby hotel. The notion of authentic food is obvious by the cashier's and cooks I had the opportunity to thank for such a delicious meal. I was fortunate enough to have my lunch to myself because no one was eating inside during my brief 1 hour there.. however there were non-stop to-go orders the whole time. I ordered my usual test food of Carne Asada Nachos and a Coke. The coke tasted like a coke should. It wasn't flat. The carne asada nachos were made with the exact amount of chips and fixings and meat. There was no chip eaten without something on it which is rare. Usually most places put too much chips. There was a good serving of guacamole, sour cream, unmelted cheese, pico de gallo and meat. It could easily feed 2 but I only ate 1x in the morning so this was my lunch and dinner. I opted for both red and green salsa .. which were both delicious. The red was slightly spicier but not too much. I have 1 before and 1 mid photos so you can see the balanced portions. In my opinion the cooks were nice and know how to cook in my humble opinion. The food was delicious and I'm definitely coming back tomorrow to test their breakfast burrito. I highly recommend coming in and trying their food. There's plenty to do in the area to walk off your meal afterwards. All in all .. definitely a monthly meal for me worth the extra 5 min drive from my office.“

The part about Harvest Taco Shop is that has been family owned and operated for like 30 years and they treat you like family . The salsa bar is better than anyone's plus they give you free chips. “Have tried two other Taco Stand locations and now came to give this one a try.

I think this location was a little bit of hit or miss depending on the day and the menu item.

We got some tacos delivered home and sister-in-law, friend as well as husband loved everything they got! Sister-In-Law and friend were visiting from out of town and they really liked the food here so much that they wanted to get it again before leaving from their visit.
They really seemed to like Pollo(chicken) and Shrimp tacos.
One thing to note is that when you order delivery on doordash they end up charging for adding the sauces which is not the case. When you put a pickup order from the store directly because you can just take as many sauces as you would like.

Husband and I also brought another friend here who was visiting from Canada and she was totally surprised by the quality of the tacos here! The pork taco must have been her favorite and I think it was the combination of the pork and pineapple in there!

I really loved the Shrimp Taco! This was my first time trying the shrimp taco and I think the combination of everything went really well. I was not expecting that cheese to be put on the tortilla so next time I think I would ask them to skip that to make it a little healthier. There was quite an amount of oil in the shrimp though, so I think that's another thing that I would like to change but otherwise overall flavor profile was lovely.

I usually love the fish taco from the other locations, but this one was subpar. It was actually quite a big thick fillet of fish so a lot of the bites felt like eating a big chunk of fish and not enough sauce or flavoring and tortilla to go with. Definitely appreciate the large portion size of the fish in there, but I think it ended up being too much fish for that one particular taco. Husband also have the same experience so it must have just been this particular day that the pieces of fish were very big. Definitely need to give it another try!“

“Their salsas are perfection, they even have them in big ketchup/mustard plastic bottles for you to enjoy at your table, and their pollo is to die for. I’m avoiding red meat so I’ve tried their pollo nachos but usually get the #9 (two pollo tacos w/ rice and beans) they might have the best beans and rice in San Diego. The experience they deliver is everything you could ask for and more, easily the best service I’ve received in any similar establishment. We preordered food and bev from their happy hour menu, only spending about $1k for 40+ people and there were plenty of leftovers. The portions were very generous and everything was very tasty. “The Breakfast Burritos are my favorite. Make sure to ask for the bacon in it extra crispy. The chorizo burrito is good but can be greasy, I made the mistake of opening up my burrito and had to rewrap it in a new tortilla because it was so soaked in grease. It tasted pretty good though. I wish they had more options for hot sauces or a salsa bar. Red and green are your only options here. Overall, they aren't the best but no way are they the worst place to eat it at. I go here regularly and I would rate them a little above average. Their prices aren't too bad compared to some places that have raised their prices 50% or more in the last few years charging $18+ for a carne asada burrito so I'm glad for that. Overall, I would recommend going here if you want cheap prices and good decent food.“

“I live very close. I liked this place for a long time but recently things aren’t good. Today I ordered a carne torta with cheese. Picked it up, no cheese, no beans, and guac only on 1/2 the sandwich. The other 1/2 nothing. At least I got to enjoy guac on 1/2. I’ll try again but there’s lots of places
