“This place is beautiful. A wonderful atmosphere and great decor, we had a great view with lunch! We had great drinks and our appetizer was basically a charcuterie board, which was good. A little mediocre for the price but it looked beautiful! I had the fish and chips which was melt in your mouth delicious and my fiance had the short rib pastrami sandwich and she said it was delicious. Overall a good view with good food!“

“Eating a lot of their food past four months through Grub Hub due to being unable to walk. It’s always excellent. Tonight’s was super excellent, chop suey with beef extra snow peas and Napa cabbage. Been cooking for over 60 years and this is one of the best and healthiest things I have ever eaten.
Also a bargain…one order is enough for three meals!!!

“Love this place. I grew up next to this place and they have put in the work to stay around. Great people great cooks and the atmosphere is always a good time after a long day or and early morning. There’s outdoor seating and cool art with tvs playing cool things all the time. Go in and try it out. The fish tacos are amazing and I recommend the cali!“

“Parking is rough. Lox bagel was a bit salty beyond the capers. Passion fruit tea wasn't Passion fruit, they were nice and switched me out to coffee. Can't rember the sandwich we ordered but it was on a ciabatta bread. It was good but the bread was a little too hard for my taste. Beach is close but was expecting a bit more of a view. My daughter's been 3X's from Lakeside so I was expecting more. She said it's the breakfast you go for. I'll give it another go. We walked around after lunch and got a Parking ticket too. My fault, we went over the 3 hrs. I'll remember next time to move my truck.“

As we dined, the place quickly filled up, and the wait time nearly reached an hour. The restaurant's popularity is evident, so it's wise to make reservations in advance. “I understand mistakes happen. I usually eat at this restaurant once a week after my late shift around 2/3 a.m. I noticed the quality of food got really bad. My meal was simple—a single patty cheeseburger with nothing on it. The first mess-up was the fries—they were burnt. Then the second mess-up: a burnt burger. Like, crispy burnt. Then my last and final straw—they served me a moldy burger that I thought was flour. Even my friends saw it and agreed after I sent them a picture. I ended up in the hospital. I called the manager, and he didn’t even offer a refund—said I was lying. I told him I’d send proof, and then he said no and hung up in my face. Not only is the manager rude and disrespectful, he cares little for his kitchen’s mistakes—and it cost me a day in the hospital. Cost me the only day I have with my son. All because his chefs are lazy and don’t care what they serve.“

“The Del Mar roll was the best sushi I have had in a long time and very filling! Ensui Sushi Bar and Grill stands up to their name. It is not the largest place, but it had 3 large TVs with March Madness on each one. I am so glad I found Ensui Sushi and will definitely be back!“

“Really nice variety on their dinner menu.... Salads, small plates/appetizers, pasta to fish to steak, pork chops, etc... Their wine list is also nice... So you should be able to find something to pair with your dinner. If not, try a mocktail, cocktail or beer. We sat on their upstairs patio where we could sort of watch the sunset over the water. Yes, there were buildings and trees in our sightlines but still nice. Service was very good considering they were slammed. Will definitely be back again.“
