“🥰Traveled to El Segundo for other than stumbling across an unassuming brick building with "Bread Bar" on a small sign. Who would have imagined finding a world-class bakery with a splendid selection of breads and pastries. One taste and I, my family and my friends were hooked! And they ship!“

My Aunt is not a coffee connoisseur and she ordered a coffee drink that was not really what she should of ordered. The lady working here asked her how she likes her coffee and remade one for free that was exactly what my Aunt really wanted. Customer service that goes above and beyond. A++ in every facet!“

“My first Crème Brûlée doughnut was in Seoul Dunkin. I was not sure I'd ever taste one in US. Visiting from Chicago, I had to come here. I was happy to taste my fav doughnut again.

“We stopped in to try their Kouign Amann. It was flaky, buttery, and had a nice carmel on the bottom. I understand why its considered one of the best in LA. We also got a quiche Lorraine. Unfortunately, even after 5-10 minutes back in the oven it was still ice cold. We each had a bite and threw the rest out. We have had much better elsewhere. They had a line out the door, the whole first 30 minutes they were open. They had 2 small tables inside and one outside.“

“Was almost lost when trying to find the outlet since it's located in a plaza that might not be visible if you're by the road side. Worry not about parking at the plaza since they apparently validated parking (yep! plus point for sure).

The gorgeously designed outlet only served grab and go since there's no seating on the spot. There were some outdoor benches at the center of the plaza though if you just couldn't wait to enjoy the goodies.

They offered bunch of sweets from Canele, Madeleine, Financier, Cookies, Cheesecake, and more; all of which did come in multiple flavors. So yeah, be prepared to be indecisive in front of the showcase. They were super helpful though in assisting you making your choices by recommending the favorite ones. It was nice that the price was decent enough for LA standard, so you could definitely opt for more than one or a couple.

For my initial visit, I started with the Ube Financier, which was kept in the chiller, maybe due to the cream on top. It came in spongy yet not too airy texture with luscious ube cream topping. It was decent, but not really my top choice. My second was their Earl Grey Milk Chocolate Tigre, which was basically buttery cake kinda similar to financier IMO, with milk chocolate ganache at the center. I definitely loved this more than the financier, especially the combo of earl grey and milk chocolate which to my surprise was awesome and helped balancing the taste to be not overly sweet. Another one I tried was their thick salted chocolate chip cookies, which decadently had crispy edge though I wish being more gooey inside as it's tad dry. Nonetheless, flavor wise I felt like classic chocolate chip with a sprinkle of sea salt indeed never failed. The creme de la creme, however, was certainly their canele which I was beyond thrilled to finally find in LA. I had my favorite one in London which I thought unbeatable, and it's impressive that LA now had something comparable to satisfy the craving without having to fly over 5K miles away. It flawlessly had that crispy coating, moist center, and just the right sweetness level. I surely made the right choice going with matcha as Brown Bag definitely elevated the overall taste with this matcha flavor and that matcha cream top. It was no brainer that their canele is NEVER TO BE MISSED if you ever paid Brown Bag a visit.“

“Do you know what a vegan pastry wasteland the Westside of LA (and, you know, the earth) is, especially Culver City? If you have a sense of it, then you know this is a crazy amazing thing, this delicious pastry shop with more vegan options than I've seen in a looong time in LA. "Vegan breakfast sandwich". . . this was an impossibility in Culver City until now and it's tasty and not expensive here. Vegan almond and chocolate croissants; they got 'em. “Went here with a friend and was blown away (sounds cliche!) by the level of service I got from a place I wasn't destined to spend more than $10 at. The honestly polite cashier (manager, perhaps?) and her knowledge of all of the various cookies, their ingredients, and other particulars, made my day. Reminded me of how service used to be years ago. The cookies were very good, too, as were the samples I was given. I'd love to come back here when I'm in the area.

“Excellent place for all bakery products. This always a queue, soliciting the lovely Brazil. I loved the big Sangki bread and the Banana Bread. The hummus and yoghurt dip, what's awesome? It's her secret recipe for over the years. I heard conversations where the third generation had come to buy from the bakery. “I ask for their water/ocean “decoration” (it’s just the whipped cream frosting). It’s perfect because we put our own decorations at home. The cake is perfection. The strawberry shortcake is perfection. The chocolate one is rich. Whipped cream frosting is absolutely perfect.

Just give yourself enough time to pick up your order because it gets packed so you can be waiting for a while. Even if it’s just a pick up.“

“Mochi donuts are amazing here! Fair variety, fast service, the display is high so it's easy to browse without squatting or bending over (a huge plus for me)!
Parking can be rediculous as it's mall parking, best to NOT park where Google tells you to (in front of the main entrance to PF Chang's and Lazy Dog) and go over to the side of the building by the entrance to the Mitsuwa Food Court for easiest access!

“I was excited to come here based on reviews and environment. It looked so cute inside and I was so happy to try it. I ordered a cold brew, but it was extremely watered down, so that was disappointing. The woman who took my order at the counter was not friendly at all, which really ruined the experience for me. We were looking for someone who could provide all the dessert for our wedding, bring us something other than a traditional wedding cake experience, and also bring some extra flair to our big day. Marsha did all that and more. Our cake table was decorated so beautifully! She made the most delicious cupcakes of all different flavors for our guests to enjoy. She even made an ADORABLE cake topper for us that everyone raved about. In addition, Marsha made us a gorgeous, delicious, moist 3 layer cake , and she even was able to bring a ROLLED ICE cart too! People could not get over how cool it was to have rolled ice cream at our wedding, especially because Marsha had extra cupcakes to put in with the ice cream. She was so collaborative, easy to work with, and fun. Everything we asked her to do, she accommodate, often gently giving her sage advice along the way.
