“All the workers seems to be very friendly to each other back there... one of the worker with a shirt says boss on it could use a little smile. Other than that everything is good. The food is hot and fresh and very Speedy service too...“

“I had the grill chicken and Cajun fries. I really liked them. Sandwich was Juicy and very flavorful. Since I don't eat beef or pork this was a great option at a burger joint. My daughter had the onion rings and wings and she like them both. The wife had the Spanish beef burger and she loved the flavor and spice. Son had the smash burger, he always eats burgers when we go out. We call him burger boy because he eats them so much. He said it was average. He said Johnny boy smash burger was a bit better. He had that the day before. The girls love that there was boba. I loved that there was beer on tap! I was going to say there's nothing negative to say about this place. But then I thought about it for a second. They charged us $1 for some ranch. Even though we ordered chicken wings, onion rings, garlic fries, french fries, cajun fries. Should have came with the order!“

“Amazingly great food. This is one of those gems that make a neighborhood. Attached to a gas station, but dont let that fool you, this is one of those truck-driver diaspora bodegas where they sell excellent Halal food for the many muslim drivers who need Halal foos along their route.“

“Quality and large burgers packed with flavor. I’ve never tried a halal burger but it was delicious. Burgers were grilled fresh and fries were fried fresh and crispy. Well priced burgers with good portion size. I got the 3 M’ini burgers with fries pack ($17) which allows you to try many of their different burger styles.
Shroom burger: packed with juicy and flavorful mushrooms, mozzarella cheese, sweet grilled onions, and a large halal beef patty.
Fries: their spicy garlic sauce is one of the best sauces I’ve ever tasted in my life. A strong garlic flavor with a sweet sauce with a lingering spice after eating it, the sauce complements the fries extremely well.
Service: I have to give a shoutout to the cashier that allowed me to try the spicy garlic sauce for free. She wasn’t supposed to give it to me when I asked because it’s an extra charge but out of the kindness of her heart she let me try it because I mentioned it was my first time at the restaurant. Thank you!“

“I still love a good old fashion Nation's Giant Hamburgers. It's one of those things that remain the same. You know what you're getting when you go. Now, the burger was as expected but I was served two orders of cold fries. The pies are fresh and still delicious as ever. When I'm in the mood for cheesecake I'll go.“

“I love Nations but it really pisses me off that the Management doesn't allow the employees to have a tip jar of every little bit helps especially now and it's not like they pay great either just average, but I did see a Giant Help Wanted sign in the window, hmmm I wonder why?“

“Stopped in on Christmas Eve and had amazing burgers, fried mushrooms, and some great shakes (the mocha was something else). While we wish the mushrooms had been been a larger order, the large fries were definitely large and worth it. It's a classic burger joint, sharing a parking lot with the tire center. When we were there, a flock of turkeys walked past. Friendly crew and we love supporting small businesses like this. We will definitely stop there again. Highly recommended.“

“Great place for breakfast. I had a 3 egg breakfast. Boring toast, but it's a diner, and the breakfast was perfectly cooked. My buddy had a burger, really substantial, and the fries were fantastic. Skin on, cooked to perfection. Decent portions, prompt friendly service, reasonable pricing. Will be back.“

“Outstanding burger with outstanding service!
I have been craving a really good burger for a while. My standard places (Five Guys or Habit) just haven’t been doing it for me. I was in the Berkeley/Albany area and decided this would be a good time to try a different burger place. Oh G Burger x Chimmelier was the best rated burger place in the area that I was in. It was also the most out of the way. But I never been to that area so I decided to go for an adventure. I am very happy that I did! 😃
I ordered the standard double smash burger with Oh G sauce and tater tots. The burger was thoroughly greasy in the best way possible! A hamburger is not health food. A good hamburger should be 20% fat and thus greasy. This is an outstanding hamburger! And I’m so glad that other reviews mentioned the tater tots. They were fluffy, crunchy pillows of potato delight. 🥹 I had forgotten how wonderful a tater tot can be!
And the burger and tater tots together were just over $18 before tip. That’s right in line with what I pay at the other places I go, but this is a far superior burger. I will be back again, hopefully soon.
An unexpected plus was the outstanding person working the front of the restaurant , Nivea (pronounced Ni-VAY-ah, NOT like the hand lotion). I’m a very observant person and my work involves increasing productivity (nerd alert!), and I developed as habit of observing how people do their work, especially in service jobs. Sadly, it seems that most people working in customer service jobs today have little to no interest in serving customers. That is not the case with Nivea. I came in at 7 PM on a Sunday night, so it was late in the shift the restaurant was full. She greeted me quickly and with genuine warmth and a smile. When I asked where the restroom was, she gave me clear instructions and also warned me that it might be a little wet in there. I watched her move around rapidly, serving all the different customers. Then she took the opportunity to clean up the restroom, then she was back filling up the water, pitcher moving rapidly to get it done quickly. When a large group that was seated at the counter, asked her what type of ice cream was used in the milkshake because they really liked it, she went to the back and got the information. I think there were only three workers in the restaurant at that time, two in the kitchen and Nivea in the front of the house. That’s a lot of work and responsibility to be on one person and most people in food service would not manage it, but she handled it with grace.
I’ve never met Nivea before, I just think it’s important to recognize outstanding work whenever I see it, as it is becoming increasingly rare. She was totally caught off guard when I told her what I thought about her work. The group seated at the counter agreed with my observation that Nivea is an excellent server and worker.
Nivea, if you happen to read this, there are many jobs in and out of customer service where your positive energy and diligence will take you far. Don’t sell yourself short.
And to other restaurant owners in the Berkeley/Albany area: if you’re looking for a good food server, come by Oh G Burger x Chimmelier, and ask is Nivea is working. If she is, order some food, sit down, and enjoy the food and the service.“

“Good lamb burger. Quality of food is very good. BRING BACK THE DOOGH (yogurt drink). Falafel is not good on the Mediterranean Plate, a few crumbs instead of a proper falafel ball. Also bring the eggplant back. Should go back to the old menu items.“

“I came here because I used to go to BurgerIM in Los Angeles, on Western and Melrose many years ago and now that I live in the bay I was surprised to see an old favorite here. Let me just tell you their burgers are just as delicious as they always have been. I’m shocked this place was super empty, because their sliders are truly quality. Their fries - eh, not my favorite. But you really can’t go wrong with their sliders.“

“I have heard about this restaurant from friends so I went to try it, it is a sit-eat-and-go place I have tried the Persian burger and it taste good it looks like a kafta kabab taste. As a Lebanese and food lover I was impressed with the hummus the taste was good but the Tabboule didn’t meet my expectations because you shouldn’t have cucumber and lettuce as also it needs more lemon juice.
It was a nice experience, and I would go again if got the chance.“

“I had such a great experience at this nations giant burger! The service was amazing from start to finish. Our cashier Aracela was super friendly and really seemed to care about our visit. She even mentioned one of her favorite meals on the menu , I decided to try it, and she was absolutely right, it was delicious!
What really stood out to me was how attentive she was. She made sure everything was okay and even asked if the meal was served the way I liked it. You can tell she takes pride in her work and genuinely wants guests to enjoy themselves.
The food and service were all top-notch. I’ll definitely be coming back soon and recommending this place to friends and family!“

“Delicious but somewhat expensive burgers in the Gourmet Ghetto that is in North Berkeley. Barneys is a small chain of hamburger restaurants that are primarily in the Oakland Berkeley area. We didn't know, but now we do.
For perspective, a Barneys burger costs $17.50, but it's a really good burger. Burgers are cooked to order with very good quality beef. Fries, onion rings, and other sides are ordered separately. Whereas the burgers were excellent, the onion rings and fried vegetables (their version of tempura) were on the oily side. Keep this in mind.
Their menu is expansive, and they offer salads and other items. We stuck to the burgers.
Service is friendly and efficient. Parking can be challenging, but there are metered spaces about a block away near Safeway.
The restaurant is clean and well maintained. The shiny sign out front gives a slight indication of the pride they take in the establishment... or maybe we're just being too generous.
In any case, on a nice day, try to snag a table on the patio and bite into a juicy, well crafted burger..all while soaking in the liberal elite vibe of North Berkeley It's a nice experience.“

“Solid burgers for really affordable prices with a mildly unnerving interior. I got a cheeseburger and fries for $7.70, the most economical option near campus. The cheeseburger had two thin patties and grilled onions, which were a nice touch. The fries tasted great, but I got a lot of bits less than an inch long. Food was out in 3 minutes - amazing.“

“Definitely my favorite place for Chicago style hotdogs and hamburgers in Solano County. The polish with grilled onions is the best and you can take it into Cullen's Pub next door so you can have it with a beer on-tap. Seating both inside and outside with plenty of free parking on the streets of downtown Benicia. Don't forget the french fries.“

Dietary restrictions: the online menu allows you to see what is on the item you select. It also allows you to remove, add, or substitute any parts of your order. If someone has dietary restrictions, they can remove what they are allergic to. you can also add a note or call the restaurant if you fear cross contamination etc..
Parking: small, narrow parking lot, sometimes crowded.
Kid-friendliness: lots of seating inside..tables and booths. restroom for guests visible from dinning area. kid options/portions on menu.
Wheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk has a ramp, however the door isn't automatic and must he pushed and held to keep open. small track across doorway.“

“A-mazing cheeseburger!!! These guys have a Time Machine. That was a burger from the 1980s!🍔😃😱🎉 When food was real, and cooked with love. Lol, over the top there but reeeally. It’s like a homemade Big Mac🏡
I’m not into fast food and usually make burgers at home or go to a cool bistro for em. But I was at Kaiser, craved a simple burger, they’re across the street, and bang! I stopped in my tracks eating and walking back to my car. Wow😋
SOOOO good!!💞💞💞👏👏👏👏“

“So I have the cheeseburger and garlic fries. The garlic is not just a powdered sprinkled on it is actually handmade and put on the fries it is phenomenal. And the amount of fries they give you wow they're just over the top. The cheeseburger that I got had real beef. Not the stuff you see at McDonald's this is real beef like what you buy at your own barbecue at home. A cheeseburger and fry filled me up. The fries were crispy and not limpy like most other restaurants. When coming here you're going to get a quality meal. I'm going to be coming back here I hope you will too.“

“This place has absolutely amazing burgers! I come all the way out here from SF every once in awhile just to get some! I haven’t really tried much else on the menu but my friend got the wings and really enjoyed those as well, I did get to try the steak fries which I would definitely say to avoid they are pretty soggy and the cheese sauce isn’t very good, but I’ll continue coming back here and recommending it because it’s hard to find an actually good burger around here! Plus it’s a great area to go with friends cause there is tons of food options and also bars to hangout at! Just be ready cause it can get pretty busy over here on the weekends!“

“After chemotherapy, I asked my daughter to stop at Fosters Freeze for Ice Cream only since the registered nurse had already given me a Turkey sandwich for lunch. And, since my daughter hadn't had lunch yet, she ordered a hamburger with fries to go even though inside and outside seating was available. By the time my daughter's order was ready, I was almost done eating my delicious vanilla ice cream. As you will see in the photo, it's closer to a medium rather than a small size. When my daughter got into the car with her order, she told me to dip the French fries in the ice cream, so I tried it and found that it didn't taste bad. The fries were nice and hot and together we finished eating them before getting home. She enjoyed her burger very much. The person at the window at Fosters Freeze prepared the burger and fries very quickly. This Fosters Freeze in Pinole and the one in Berkeley are unfortunately the only ones left. There used to be one in San Pablo where I'd go to for lunch and afterward spent some time reading there. I knew the owner, who wanted to sell the business because she was planning to move to Canada. I was sad the place closed. Fosters Freeze ice cream is one of the best, which reminds me of the ice cream I enjoyed eating when my grandmother used to take me to Kuridis in Africa during our vacation.
Be well!“

“We had dinner there tonight (3/14/24) for the first time and we will be back. Two of the most interesting and truly delicious sandwiches we have ever eaten. I can't remember what mine was called, but it had chicken (roasted perfectly), sauerkraut, cheese and other awesome stuff on a grilled rye bread that was excellent. My bride had the turkey sandwich and loved it. But the star of the show were the Tater Tots. Perfectly crisp with BBQ sauce to dip them in and then into some wonderful real bacon bits. Every tot stayed crisp from the first to the last. The meal was worth every penny and more. Get into the Alameda location and try it. You won't be sorry. PS: The only bad part for me is that we live in Seattle and won't be back down until May. But you can bet I will be eating here then.“

“We are from West Michigan. You could say me and the boys are cheeseburger connoisseurs. We give this place a solid 8. Burgers were well made, presented well. Toppings were fresh and had good color. It was not too messy, but yet was juicy. A nice portion size, not too big, not too small. We would recommend these burgers if you are in the area!“
