“I missed the drop off day for donating for the animals in need. Stopped by there this morning with a donation. Loved the greeting with a smile that I received when I walked in by the young man behind the counter. he was totally surprised when I handed him an envelope and explained that I had missed the drop off date. Now I know why this Cafe receives 5 stars, very friendly atmosphere. I will be back!!“

“I love Tong Sui!! Glad there's one near where I usually get my car serviced. Stopped by for the first time and they got A LOTTA flavors to try!! I love jasmine flavors and this summer they have it as a Jasmine Coconut Pudding!! Hope it'll stick around all-season instead!! Servicer is super nice and attentive as well!! Will come back!!“

“I probably ordered the wrong thing. I got their matcha drink with coconut milk since they seem to be known for coconut, but. I don't think those two flavors mix together at all. Also tried the mango mochi pudding which was okay, and the mango drink which was good. Probably my fault since I don't like coconut that much. If you love coconut, you'll like this place.“

“The ambience is Japanese minimalist. Baristas are friendly. But more importantly the coffee is just perfect. My fave coffee spot in San Mateo. There's always a line though and if you want to sit in, good luck. It's a small place with not a lot of seating.“

However, you must try the warm milk bread, big eye tuna sashimi, white sturgeon caviar toast, beautiful presentation, wide wine list, draft suds try hazy IPA and wonderful dessert all of them! We had well known guests enjoying their dinner next table over from us. Stephen Curry and his lovely wife Ayesha. I recommend to everyone!“

“I really love this place! The food is just delectable and yummy! I recommend the combo appetizer plate and the combo meat plate for two people to share. It will allow you to sample everything and still be content. I wish one thing they did differently was double the pita bread serving for the appetizer plate. That’s the only con. The small plates menu, as explained by our server, allowed us to sample many different dishes. We sampled the Oysters, Warm Sesame Pancakes, Salad, Crudo, Yellowfin Tuna over rice and Pork Belly and Octopus. Most "mindblowing" were the Oysters topped with Meyer Lemon Foam.“

Our table felt intimate — we were sharing a large space with four other tables, appropriately distanced. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Again, all Covid-19 compliant. The food, oh the food! The Dutch baby was perfectly cooked and the fruit fillings were gorgeous. The chicken sandwich was out of this world. The Mimosa and hard apple cider beverages were on point. I'll recommend starting off with sampler and ordering anything you like as a separate dip. Street fries were also good. They have unlimited tea and the mint lemonade was super refreshing.

Service: this place has minimal interaction with servers as every table has a QR code to order food and pay when you order.

Atmosphere: divided into 3 parts outdoor, indoor and patio. Indoors is bright with open kitchen and patio is dark with plants, string lights and heaters. Sat in patio and loved the vibe.“

“First time ordering a crunch cake! We got the 6” inch strawberry crunch cake and called in the order a day before to pick up. Parking is limited since it’s a residential street. When I arrived for pick up, they were just putting the brittle on. The cake is very unique, the strawberry crunch had brittle crumble all over the outside and in the inside are two moist cake and a thick layer of cream and fresh strawberries.The cake is not that sweet and taste amazing with the brittle crunch. Cutting it wasn’t that difficult, I wiped the knife each slice as instructed. I would order the mocha cake next time! This cake is $35, cash only.“
