“We were on a family trip and I found this place on Google maps with good reviews. We got here around lunch time not a lot of people but the server was not that welcoming especially when I told her how many people we have. I just ignored it and waited until our table is ready. Ordering is pretty straightforward we have been to a lot of places like this before. Our food was delivered by a robot which was amazing the kids love it and it was served by the server. The food is really good and on point. The vibe and decorations are very nice it complement the theme of seafood restaurant. I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.”

The guests really enjoyed an artichoke quiche, strawberry chicken salad and three types of mini cookies. Everyone raved about the food. It was all packaged up to be easy to serve. “I enjoy eating alone, and I happened to stop by this place ~ they had a 1-person lunch special! The spring rolls were delicious, and the combination bowl was amazing. The Thai tea that came with it wasn’t too sweet (I got it without boba) just perfect for my taste. The portion was very generous (I even had leftovers to take home), and every single ingredient tasted fresh and flavorful. I was honestly surprised to get such a great lunch at this price.

My wife and I were heading a very long way to Wildomar on Monday to visit my wife's Mom & Dad in an assisted living facility. But first we stopped by here for a nice lunch. It was a bit before midday when we stepped inside the front entrance to be greeted warmly by the lovely owner / founder Jenny who we have known for many years. Jenny herself took our order for 1 x Capicola & Provolone Sub Sandwich plus 1 x Gangster Reuben Pastrami Sub Sandwich. The place was ABSOLUTELY ROCKIN' on Memorial Day and there were stacks of loyal customers lined up waiting to place their lunch order. Our fantastic looking sub sandwiches were hand delivered to our table...and believe me it doesn't get any better ! Our delicious sub sandwiches hit it clean outa the ball park ! As I said to lovely Jenny....YOU ARE A LEGEND !”

“It was about noon as I left my Doctors office and feeling a little hungry. I say Pegah’s Kitchen next door and gave it a try. The staff were all very professional. I had their Italian omelette and if I had to rate it on a one to 10 scale with 10 being the best, I would give it a 12. This is the Vista location. Highly recommend this place for breakfast and lunch, as they are not open for dinner.”

“1st time here, but not the last. Started with clam chowder and artichoke fritters. Clam chowder lacked clams and had a strong bacon taste. Fritters and sauce were delicious. Had cioppino and the broth was delicious along with a decent amount of seafood. Only disappointment was the lack of variety. It had clams, muscles, fish and shrimp. I can understand with it only being $19, but love when cioppino had calamari rings, scallops, crab, and octopus as well. Would be willing to spend more for a premium version. The garlic toast that was served along with was delicious as well. Service started a little slow, but picked up. Was not from a lack of hustle from the staff. Just understaffed at the beginning. Our server Luke T. was great. Look forward to going back and trying additional dishes.”

“I am a bit disappointed with recent winery messaging/policy. These changes seem to make the winery setting more exclusive and less welcoming to families. I have NEVER been dissatisfied with the wine. Just a little disappointed in the pull away from families and inclusion.

New review: I am the biggest fan of this winery. I have recommended this winery to literally all of my friends and family. I have never enjoyed a winery more than Domaine. I love most Domaine wines, which is very telling for a self-proclaimed wine snob. At most wineries I Iike two or three wines. At Domaine there is no wine I do not like. I especially like their Rincon del Diablo and Syrah. In addition to their scrumptious wine, the staff here have never waivered in their kindness and accomodations.

The missing star and slightly critical review is hopefully part of larger growing pains. My kids used to come here and feel so welcomed. They could stretch their legs and roam a bit (supervised). We could search for tadpoles or ask staff for the owl puppet or drive the tonka trucks through the olive orchard. It was a pretty special place for our teacher friend group to relax and have their kids enjoy outside at the same time. Seeing the new signage up discouraging supervised child autonomy is beyond disappointing. I enjoyed this winery as it always felt like family. It felt like home. It was uncomplicated and comfortable. Their dogs roam free and my kids, behaving with respect, were also permitted to do the same. Closing out areas to kids is beyond regrettable and makes me less inclined to continue membership (even given my 10 plus years of membership and their delicious wine). Unfortunately I am going to consider if it's worth it to be a member of a place that is seemingly inhospitable to half of my family. I wonder if they will make a separate section for families / dogs or if they will continue to slide towards exclusionary spaces.”

“The owner and staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. We often sit at the bar and order the Farmer's Wife or the Giddyup, their version of an espresso martini. It’s a full bar, so there is something for everyone. Mocktails for none drinkers, too. The food is delicious! I’m a big fan of their Beef Bourguignon and French Onion Soup. The Crème Brulee is such a treat. I highly recommend this restaurant for your next date night or nice night out with friends. Try it, you’ll love it!”

We have watched several sets of family member take over operating this family business, and have loved ever member prior. However, Nick is an unfortunate one. With a gift card receipt stating Nick's name, he denies selling a gift card to anyone but one person. Nick has unfortunately ruined our favorite family restaurant. If the real owner ever reads this, I hope we can work something out. My recommendation, eat somewhere else. Its not worth the gruff service and the potential to get screwed. :/”

“Family owned! Great speakeasy vibe with lots of cool steampunk designs. You can even buy your own steampunk glasses and hats here! They mostly serve just alcoholic kombucha and 1 rotating local beer on tap, and like 2 non-alcoholic kombuchas. All of their kombucha is good with unique flavor profiles for each type. I love all their lemonade versions - tastes like actual lemonade to me, and they use cool fruits in their kombucha like dragonfruit! If you like it, they sell bottles, and can also bottle one for you then snd there. They usually have live music Friday and Saturday and events throughout the week. The vibe is definitely worth coming in and having a drink.”

“Stopped by Fruitimania today for a quick lunch after a walk I’m in my health girl era & trying to stick to lower-calorie meals🥗🏃🏽‍♀️. But I was hungrier than usual after a longer workout, so I called ahead to place a pickup order & I decided to treat myself to the Supreme Pastrami Sandwich (a hot sandwich) & a tropical mango smoothie🥪🥭.

The sweet lady told me it would be ready in about 10 minutes, which was perfect by the time I drove over my order was ready to go. Super quick & great service!

Both were seriously delicious! The pastrami sandwich was packed with flavor cream cheese, pesto, turkey bacon, pepperoni, and pastrami & the portion size was perfect. Not too big, not too small. It totally hit the spot, & I can definitely see myself ordering it again.

The smoothie was also super refreshing. I got the medium size (20 oz), & it was the perfect complement to the sandwich.🥤🧊

Side note: This isn’t my first time coming here it’s actually my third or fourth visit. I usually go for the açaí bowls 🫐🍓 because they’re also really good. But today I wanted to try something new! Here’s a photo from one of my previous visits when I enjoyed a bowl out on their outdoor patio 🌞🪴 with my friend who tagged along.

“A Hidden Gem Near Welk Resort – Don’t Let the Renovations Fool You!

While staying at the Welk Resort—which isn’t exactly known for its dining options—my husband and I ventured just a couple miles down the road to Oaks Bar and Grill, and we’re so glad we did.

The first thing you’ll notice is the fluttering BBQ signs that help you spot the place easily. The restaurant is currently undergoing renovations, and admittedly, the interior atmosphere might not immediately draw you in—but trust me, persevere. The food more than makes up for it.

For dinner on Mother's Day, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of fries and, on a fellow patron’s recommendation, the potato salad. I’m usually not a “double potato” person, but I’m so glad I listened. The pork was perfectly tender, lightly sauced so the flavor of the meat shone through, and incredibly satisfying.

My husband went for the Korean BBQ options on the menu and ordered the bulgogi plate with fried rice and kimchi. We were both blown away by the taste and quality—so much so that we decided to return the next day. The kimchi was so good.

On our second visit (for breakfast around 10:00am!), the chef—who seemed to be a Korean mama and clearly knows what she's doing—recommended the spicy Korean pork. We both ordered it, and it was nothing short of phenomenal.

We also ordered take-out bulgogi and kimchi to take home for dinner! It was nicely packed up and excellent reheated.

There’s also a full bar onsite, and during the day, the space seems to serve as part of the golf course pro shop. While the setting may still be in transition, the food here is next-level and truly makes Oaks Bar & Grill a hidden gem in the area. We’ll absolutely be back!”
