I don't know of any other local wineries that have Super Tuscans; yet, I found two super fantastic ones at Il Gioiello/Morse Wines.I recently had the opportunity to attend a small private event at this winery and love the ambiance, the staff, and the fellow knowledgeable wine lovers who also consider Il Gioiello / Morse Wines to be their favorite go-to winery. I highly recommend taking the road less traveled (Fiddletown Road to Tyler to Lawrence) where you can still bring a picnic and enjoy some FABULOUS wines!!“

“What an establishment. one could not go wrong stopping here. The food was to die for, the wines were DELISH. There is a wine for everybody even the non drinkers have coffee and different refreshments. VIEW IS SPECTACULAR… nestled in the hills of Amador county. Lanelle was our host and was EXTREMELY versed in all product knowledge and went the extra mile to ensure the experience was a blast. The whole staff made the LA Mesa Vineyard experience spectacular.“

“This plus is a A+ wine tasting place. This is my second time and it just keeps getting better and better. The service and the wines are so very awesome. The 1869 is so very mellow for a bold red. When I came here 2/23 u tried it, bought a bottle and when I got back home ordered three more bottles for my cellar. Both time ran into new friends especially as I ran into a lady that is is a Sagittarius as well as the horse in the Asian zodiac as me. We bantered back and fourth and we both swear we have previously meet. Great wines and service.“

“We had a great visit to this winery. It's situated right off the road and the first thing you see was the dog sculpture.

Our host Mack did an incredible job with our wine tasting for our large group. We were seated outside and he led us through the tasting with funny stories and even brought out other wines for us to try. We learned a lot about the winery and the history of winemaking in Plymouth.
We even tried the wine slushy, which was delicious.

The charcuterie plate that accompanied our wine tasting was delicious and beautifully presented too.

There was only a small bar inside for seating so we were seated outdoors. I wish there were some shade or heat lamps. The big building was closed the day of our visit. There were lots of benches and seating outside but they were unprotected from the sun and wind so we were a bit cold.“

“My favorite winery in the area by a long shot. I love their wines, but the real key here is the people and place. The moment you walk through the door there is a different vibe. This is not a pretentious winery. It is one that you bring large groups to and let everyone enjoy themselves. Every wine tender you may get is easy going and fun to chat with.
The grounds are beautiful and it's easy to get an area to setup with a bottle and hangout outside. I have brought more people to this winery than literally any other and will continue to do so. Could not recommend enough.“

“This is a winery with tastings for its own wines. They are great and very reasonable. If you belong to their wine club there are usually quarterly wine club pick ups with food, tastings, and music.“

“One of the primary reasons we keep coming back to Amador for our annual visit is because of Rombauer. Their setting is very relaxing, their staff are all friendly and amazing and they have the best Chardonnay on the planet. I don't seek out any white wines but one, and it's the Rombauer Chard. This year we opted for the 2019 over the current release due to the extra years, palate profile and price point. Next year, that 2023 will be just about right and we'll be sure to take some home. I didn't plan on any other bottles but this year's Zin was on point. Can't say enough about this great winery, and when I'm pouring in our own tasting room in WA, I mention Rombauer often. If you don't drop in for a visit during your wine tasting tour of Amador, you're doing it wrong. :)“

“I love this winery. First time there was in 1995. A great example of the Sierra Foothills wine country. Peaceful, scenic, a bit rustic and the wines are very good. The Midnight red blend and Chardonnay are my favorites. Will be back there next weekend!“

“Best wine tasting experience we have had in a very long time! We were greeted by two friendly beautiful family dogs. We met Marcos the owner's son and had a very wonderful conversation. The we went to the tasting room and we were treated with a very warm friendly smile from the daughter. She did an excellent job of explaining the different flight options. We sat down and began are tasting experience. The flight's were amazing between the whites and the reds, best varieties and flavors within the flight. The daughter timed it perfect and we never had to wait for our next tasting. She did an excellent job explaining the different wines and where they came from. In between pours provided great conversation and warm smiles. We then went over to the gazebo overlooking the area and enjoyed the best fire cooked pizza! The owner came over and talked to us and introduced us to his lovely wife. We enjoyed a great conversation. The owner share his hear and vision for the winery. He asked if we were taken care of and needed anything. Over all it was such a pleasant experience at a value you can't find anywhere else. The pricing options were excellent and the varieties we're out of this world! Let's just say there is a little piece of Italy in Somerset! Perfect ambiance and beautiful hosts! We definitely will be coming back and if you need to get away from it all and get a great value for your money..THIS IS THE GO TO! Thank you Mastroserio Winery, two thumbs up and 10 stars! They are all delicious. So I went back a few weeks ago and picked up two cases with a mix of Rose, Cab, S&M, Chardonnay , and Sauvignon Blanc for my mom’s 70th bday party in the Bay Area. “Me and another car pulled over after seeing two dogs on highway 49 their owners found us and the dogs on highway 49 and then said thank you and asked us if we wanted a bottle of wine. I followed then to their vineyard and got a free bottle of wine i appreciate the kind gesture i didn't catch the couples names but after a long work day this bottle of wine will be perfect“

“We were recommended this tasting room by a friend at TDO, which is closing. Tom the wine maker was in the tasting room. Him and his were very cordial. Nice tasting room and even a tent outside. We arrived 30 mins before they closed, but said it was no problem. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. We will be back in October and probably join their club.“

“They had a great 2 for 1 tasting deal so it was hard to pass on! I came with just my partner but it has a nice outdoor spacious area that can accommodate large groups. They have an extremely generous amount of 7 different wines with small bites of cheese and crackers included with their tasting. The staff was so friendly which made our experience better especially after the service we received at Sera Fina down the road. We were greeted with smiles and felt welcomed right away. “We make an annual visit to Amador County for a refresh of our CA wines and had never been to Andis. We both loved the setting, the wines and the staff. The wines are true to style, not sweet and all very good. Left with a case and they will now be part of our regular rotation of favorite wineries during our visit.
