“Pho 45 in Garden Grove is a bright, busy, and very clean spot with a friendly vibe. We ordered the phở tái chín và viên and the phở tái nạm gân. The portions were generous and well balanced, with fresh herbs and noodles. The broth was light and I personally wished for a bit more spice aroma, but it was still one of the better pho experiences I have had.

The service truly stood out. For a small mom and pop restaurant, it was the best I have seen. The owner watches every detail and the staff is very attentive. I had a stroller with me and before I even reached the table they cleared a chair so I could park it easily. Our food also came out super fast.

The space is simple with white textured walls and is very family friendly. Service is a 10, food is a 9. I would definitely return“

“All these great reviews are spot on, and you shouldn’t think otherwise. This is the 2nd time coming here with my family and it doesn’t disappoint. So now let me add another 5-star review, to the already many well earned 5-star reviews.
Both times coming here we opted for their 12 piece omakase course with assorted appetizers. Rather than keep repeating the other great reviews on how good the fish tasted, and how fresh the fish was, I’d like to bring attention to how good the rice being used was. Sushi lovers typically focus on the fish, but at the end of the day, fresh fish, is fresh fish… In my opinion, I agree with the notion that it’s the rice that truly makes or breaks the nigiri. And however way the Chef makes his rice is really exceptional, in addition to using the right amount with each piece. Include this with very cold beer, and now you have a winning combination.
In addition to the food, I appreciated the comfortable atmosphere Taira has. Sometimes when we would try other omakase places, the atmosphere was a little too pretentious, just to justify the higher price point.

“Everything was fresh and delicious! The broth was clean and didn't need any Sriracha or hoisin sauces to make it good. The combo fried rice was excellent, with all the meats fresh, crispy, and not greasy at all!! The Lao beef was cooked to perfection as ordered medium, and the dipping sauces were authentic and fresh. This is a must goto spot. Also open late which is a plus for me! The staff was very attentive and professional. Truly a gem.“

“Delicious! We stopped in with a group of 7 on our way to the Great Wolf Lodge for dinner.

It was easy to order. Your biggest decision is one plate or all you can eat. The one plate is very generous so you've really got to be hungry to make all you can eat it pay out. There are a bunch of rules if you decide to do all you can eat posted on the wall.

Once you pay, you get a bowl to fill with the meats & veggies. If you have kids, you might encourage them to fill their bowls. You can either eat their leftovers or take them home with you.

The meats include meatballs, beef, pork & chicken. Too many vegetables to choose from. Three types of noodles. Vermicelli, egg & something else I can't remember. Two of us went egg and while the nameless noodles were good (the other 5 people got them) I think the egg is superior.

You pick some sauces and the chefs cook up your meal.

Hot & fresh!

There's a restroom and a fountain soda machine. You can also just get water.

Definitely a delicious stop if you like stir fry noodles.“

“This place was amazing. Great service from the staff, beginning to end, made sure we were well taken care of. Then there is the food, and it did not disappoint. Very healthy portions and the flavor profiles were next level. Safe to say everything that hit the table was delicious. My friend and I spend a lot of time going to different food places and doing reviews, and this is one of those places we will be referring our own family and friends to. “I stumbled across this place when looking for a pizza, I was in the area and prefer supporting small businesses. I walked in and was pleasantly surprised that pizza was no longer on my mind. A delicious smell of Bahn Mi sandwiches hit me as I walked in. My decision was made for me. I saw my favorite drink on the menu, a Thai tea, and figured I would pair the two. I love spicy, let me preface my story by putting that out there. I was delighted to sit at the park down the road and enjoy my lunch in the sun. I took my first bite and was chomping away when it violently and abruptly hit me! The spicy level on the combination Bahn Mi was top tier. I enjoy a good fight and boy o’ boy did I need more napkins. I was wishing the Thai tea had more ice cubes than were in it. But the food was good. The place itself looks a little confusing, a mix of pizza and Vietnamese food, but I want to go back to try the pizza; I should have paid more attention to the “And More”. I’m sure it’s all made with love.“

“I was trying to find an old restaurant I used to visit for great Jjajangmyeon, and although this wasn’t the exact place I remembered, I was very satisfied.
They served a small egg soup as a welcome dish — warm, light, and comforting on an empty stomach.
During lunch time, I tried the stir-fried vegetables, which were fresh and perfectly seasoned without being too salty.
I also liked that they offered small-size bowls of Jjajangmyeon — just right for a light meal.
Everything tasted great, and I definitely recommend visiting this place!“

“Cơm Tấm Kiều Giang is one of those places that instantly earns five stars. I first discovered them through DoorDash and immediately fell in love—but once I came in person, I realized just how much of a hidden gem this spot really is (and how much more affordable it is dining in).

“Literally the best Mexican food I've ever had in my entire life. Even compared to the Mexican food back home in Milwaukee which if you know, you know. But wow this place is worth 10x the price. The super nachos are just out of this world. The birria taco was the best taco I've ever had. I was so full that I had to save the burrito for the next day and it was even amazing reheated! “I went to a new chè place last night and was disappointed. New doesn’t always mean better. So this morning we had to go check out the OG of all bakery and chè place that my aunt keeps talking about.

Boy oh boy, their avocado drink is literally the best in town. You get the rich and creamy fresh avocado not the powder mix. Had so many avocado chunks and jelly. They made it fresh. Not so sweet.

We also got a few of the cupcake size desserts like the steamed layer cake, baked taro cake, salted egg sponge cake, and pate chaud.

It’s so convenient in cupcake size to snack. $1.50 each or 4 for $6 which isn’t a deal when it comes out the same. You can increase the size on most of these items. You can order party trays of up to 80 pieces or more.

Even the pate chaud is tiny but delicious. It was evenly proportional in meat and pastry.

Good set of 반찬 (side dishes) and the portions were large. I ordered the 갈비탕 (rib soup) and it had large pieces of meat that fell off the bone.“

“I’ve found myself coming to this spot many times whenever I’m in OC. It’s one of the few places where you can find a wide variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes beyond just pho, which, honestly, a lot of places still don’t get right.

I’ve tried more than six different dishes here, and every single one has been flavorful, delicious, and truly authentic. It tastes just like home.

Some of my favorites are the Bún Mắm, Bánh Hỏi Heo Quay, Bún Riêu, and Hủ Tiếu Mì Khô—all so good and packed with flavor. I don't recommend Bột Chiên tho!
