“An amazing "conveyor" belt sushi restaurant with high quality fish and great vibes. I use quotes because the belt is only used to deliver the food to your table as opposed to the rotating dishes. It's located inside of Tokyo central and there's gunna be a long wait for dinner but honestly.... it's such a great market to wander that you'll find the long wait to be fun.
Almost everything we ordered was delicious, mouth watering, and satisfying quality fish. The salmon quality is so butter smooth and I actually recommend the salmon party if that's your favorite type of fish.
Most items are decently priced and you can totally get full off of 30 bucks if you order the lower tier stuff. Service was quick and friendly.
Tip: You don't need to order on the tablet lol it'll get your arm tired from swiping the fixed screen. Just scan the QR code and order through your phone.

“Been coming here for years. I usually get the two item combo. The amount of food you get is filling. Food always tastes fresh. Here are the items I like: teriyaki chicken, tempura, salmon avocado rolls, spicy tuna rolls, and miso soup. I've tried other items and they were all good but I keep coming back to these. The place is clean and the service is friendly. Parking can be challenging during peak hours but I've always managed to find a spot. Give this place a try“

“I very much enjoy the food and friendly atmosphere at Sushi Bei. Their sashimi and sushi are fresh, and I think the food presentation is amazing. Yellowtail Cheek is large, fatty, and delicious. Their appetizers and rolls are pretty good too!
I like Non Bei next door where I can continue with some drinks and karaoke. They offer a full night of fun!“

“Friendly sushi chef and staff Fresh sushi and tasty kitchen food Highly recommend“
“Stopped in after dinner at Sushi Bei. The place have been upgraded a bit since the last ownership. Way less dive feeling (but the old way was great too!).We just had a couple drinks and didn’t sing. The atmosphere was great! A very fun party and people were having a great time. They have many premium liquors and several mezcals (my fave). Looks like they no longer have the private room in the back.I would go back and would recommend!“

“most people would probably label No. 1 Chef as a hole in the wall but I would rather label them as a hidden gem ?. Been eating here for about 5 years now and it’s still exquisite every single time. I really enjoy the authenticity and proper quality of their dishes. Thank you No. 1 Chef for always keeping your food fresh and delicious.“

“One of the delicious Japanese restaurants that has been around for a long time. This is a restaurant run by the owner and his wife.
The general doesn't talk much, so he looks scary at first glance, but when you talk to him, he's really nice. The wife serves it cutely on the floor.
Of course we guarantee the taste.
There are also authentic Japanese items on the menu, so you can go back to Japan after eating them.
Please use it once.
Parking: There is a Japanese cake shop, a Korean izakaya, and a barber shop in a small mall.
Depending on the time of day, you may not be able to park in front of the store.
but it's okay. There's more space.
Don't worry.“

“This has become my go-to sushi spot now since August '24. Food is great and fresh, sushi chefs are the real deal and know what they are doing... They are creative in what they can make... The sushi chefs talk with you and take pride in their preparation and presentation... Go there, you won't regret it... BTW, I always sit at the sushi bar...“

“I had an amazing experience at this family-owned Japanese restaurant! The chicken bowl I ordered was incredible. The meat was perfectly cooked, savory, and juicy. You can tell they put a lot of care into their dishes. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere made the meal even better. I can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu!“

“Great place to kick back and drink beers or wine with friends. More of a drinking place then a restaurant in my opinion. Great food but a little dissapointed on the sushi. It was Ok.... but some of the ingredients were not fresh and tasted a little bit old. But it was good and satisfactory tho. Will come back and try other stuff.“

“it was pretty good i say a 8.5/10 you have to pay to add a egg which i never had that happen in other places but its okay also want to mention that the men employees need to work on being more polite, it’s also a very crowded restaurant. i got the chashu ramen btw“

“What a delightful SoCal omakase that I think stands out really well both for being fun and delicious.
Sushi Sonagi is located in a strip mall on Artesia Blvd. before you hit the 91 freeway and by the early evening when you arrive, parking seems to be plentiful.
Coming in, I was immediately greeted and given a reserved spot at the intimate sushi bar. The sushi bar itself is really fun and full of small LA-focused delights like a bobblehead of sports stars. And the music played old school 90's and early 00's jams.
Behind the counter is Chef Daniel Son who does a wonderful job guiding the whole journey with a super friendly and laidback attitude. I loved how the ingredients are not only from his travels in Japan but also locally from the Torrance Farmers Market where I go often myself. Also love the presentation from the plates to all of the techniques he uses that you get a first hand look at.
Drink-wise, they have carafes/bottles of sake as well as some beer options. I opted for one of the sake carafes which lasted me throughout the meal. The waitress that was serving the entire seating that night was also super funny and laid back as well along with being super attentive.
As most omakase menus, this one changes every season. Here were some of my personal favorites of our 18 courses:
*Flounder fin: One of the best sushi items we had that night. So buttery and delightful. Loved the explanation and conversations as well around some of the facts and challenges around serving this.
*Hanasaki dolsot bap: Such a clever and delicious take on the dolsot bap. It's presented beautifully with the crab shell and then portioned out to all the patrons. If you wanted extras, the Chef is more than willing to accommodate.
*Miso butter atsuyaki tamago: Loved this extra little oomph to the tamago with the miso butter. Again, just buttery smooth with a hint of sweetness. So good.
*Chawanmushi: His chawanmushi was a great use of local ingredients like the summer corn and ikura. Refreshing and playful.
*Scarlet shrimp: Absolutely delicious and delectable. A bright flavor.
At the end, not only do you get the full menu but a really cute handwritten card that was a really nice touch.
Cheers to Chef Son and his crew for a wonderful and delightful experience.“
