“We had an amazing time celebrating my husband's birthday at Ruth's Chris! They printed a special menu for him as I specifically had requested. We were given delicious, fresh bread with butter and ordered the goat cheese/artichoke dip as an appetizer. My only criticism was that there could have been more toast provided because the dip portion was large! We split the 16 oz ribeye medium-rare and had the garlic mash, which were both amazing. My husband really enjoyed the KC Paper Plane cocktail and I had a Pinot, which paired well with my steak. The service and food were both outstanding! I would definitely return to this location.“

Perfect if you're visiting alone as they have plenty of seats at the bar with access to a full menu and enjoy a live sports game. Their service is excellent! Very efficient. “We were back at the Langham for my hubbys bday. He is a big red meat eater and I wanted to do something nice. For starters we had the oysters, and beet salad. I would have likes more generous oysters, 3 of the 6 looked flat. Im not sure if that was due to the type but in any case I would skip them next time. The beet salad was great. I traditonally like beet salad that has variety of beet types. This was just red beets and it was good nonetheless. For the main course I got the sea bass and it was the best sea bass Ive ever had from the first bite. Wowsa!! Hinby had the Tasmanian Waygu New York Strip. It was divine and such a generous portion. For sides we had the mushrooms, mac and cheese, and brussel sprouts and all were good and came in sharing size portions. Even though the food had a rich taste we were not weighed down after dinner. They gave my husband a complimentary slice of pecan dessert for his bday, which was nice. We did not order additional desserts because we had after dinner plans which already included dessert. It is had to critique anything I would say do a bread basket with a variety of breads the sourdough is good but that shell was too hard. And there is a mocktail with blackberry that is served inside the hotel bar that was not on the menu in the restaurant, our mocktails were good but if you go to the bar get the blackberry mocktail. Bomb!! If you want grown and sexy dining that is worth the price will not go wrong.“

“This review is for dining on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at LA Prime Steakhouse at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, CA. I apologize in advance for this lengthy review. 😊 Overall, our party of 4 had a very enjoyable evening. We arrived about 15 minutes before our 6pm reservations and had our pick for a table right by the windows facing North. The sky was clear, the view of the city below us and the mountains in the distance was great. The service was excellent from our servers Mark & Maria (aka M&M as they mentioned and made it very easy to remember their names 😊). Both were very friendly and attentive. The pace for our evening was exceptional. We did not feel rushed, were given ample time to browse the menu, enjoy our drinks and starters before the entrees were brought out. Mark or Maria would periodically come by to ask how our meal was, if we wanted another drink, whether we needed anything else and with the refills of water and coffee. Now, as for the food, I will say it was “good”, but not exceptional or 5 stars. Starters: Wagyu Carpaccio, Oysters Rockefeller & 2 orders Escargot – I ordered the Oysters Rockefeller. They were about medium sized oysters and somewhat tasty. I was disappointed that they oysters were not released from the shell before cooking, making it difficult and messy to scrape out of the shell or to use a knife to release the oyster. Others that tried the oysters had the same issue. I tried one escargot and found the size to be pretty small. They definitely needed more garlic, more butter and some parsley or herbs. Others felt the same. One of the best parts I enjoy with escargot is using the bread to dip into the garlic butter sauce. YUM. Entrees: 2 Prime Rib entrees (1 medium rare & 1 end cut). Good portions as menu states 18 oz., tender, good marbling, looked delicious. I had the end cut expecting bold flavors from the seasoning, but found it lacking in flavor. The horseradish and au jus helped a little. The Yorkshire Pudding was a bit strange. It was not at all what I was expecting. I’m accustomed to something like a mini Dutch baby pancake or it being light and airy with a big puff crown top, like I would get at Lawry’s or Tam O’Shanter. What we got was somewhat dense, maybe collapsed, muffin shaped and something I would not have guessed as a Yorkshire Pudding by the looks or taste of it. Party also ordered the Lobster Thermidor and the Filet Mignon with Lobster Tail. Filet was cooked nicely and was tender. The Lobster Thermidor and Lobster Tail was not tender, somewhat dry and a bit chewy. I’m not sure if it was the quality or maybe being overcooked. They did not enjoy these entrees. Sides: Asparagus Spears with Hollandaise Sauce were nicely cooked. Sauteed Mushroom Ragout – I think this was mostly chanterelle mushrooms. Do not recall any shitake or button mushrooms. I did not care for this. Creamed Spinach looked good, but I did not try this. After dinner, we looked at the city lights from our window table and enjoyed the delicious Starbucks coffee they served. We didn’t leave any room for desserts. SUMMARY: Ambiance & View – 5 out of 5 Stars Service – 5 out of 5 Stars Food – 4 out of 5 Stars Great place to try at least once. Food may be a bit overpriced and overall under seasoned. Service was excellent. You’re mainly paying for the view and experience. Our party had a great time and wonderful evening there. Would I go again anytime soon… probably not. There are too many restaurants in the city to try and there are always new ones popping up.“

“Second time here it’s a fine dining experience in an old world setting. Steaks fantastic & reasonably priced. Ladies bring a cardigan as rather chilly inside. John the Duty Manager was very pleasant & keen to know we were happy with the service.“

“The food was decent. Flavors were favorable however it was brought out a little cold It took only 5-10 mins to bring out the dinner which I thought that was a little too quick. The drinks were really good. I decided on this restaurant because of their online menu and instagram advertised an “all you can eat” type dinner for around 60 dollars. Unfortunately when we arrived we were told that it wasn't something they offered. I was unhappy about that. Nonetheless the staff was very nice and I would definitely come back but only for the drinks.“
