“Amazing experience! The view is astonishing! Our group enjoyed every wine we tasted so much that we had to take some home for us and as gifts. We love wine and this wine was delicious. The hosts, Peggy and Kevin were so sweet and fun, it was a private tasting but it also felt like we were with family. They both made it so enjoyable. We learned so much about local wines from them. The house is gorgeous and they are lovers of art which added to the experience. Not to mention Kevin played a great playlist for us and it felt like a party.I Can’t wait to come back with more friends and family to share this with.“
“THE BEST! Started with the tasting, our host was very sweet and gave us great tip throughout our tasting experience. Lovely views. Didn’t get to go on the tour because it got booked quickly. Recommend you book in advance to make sure you get the tour first (it was mentioned to us that it makes the experience better)“
“Such a splendid experience! Our host was magnificent, the presentation of the wines was spcied (!) up with stories for each wine, we even managed to watch the rehearsal of their murder mystery night of actors and people from the winery. The spiced wines were unique and right up our alley, the cheese board was totally excellent and the live music rounded up the experience. Such a great place! Congratulations to the owners!“
“First class wines! Very knowledgeable staff! Beautiful views!“
“Porter Creek Winery was such a peaceful gem and one of the highlights of our wine country trip. The team (Crystal) went above and beyond to accommodate us, even staying a little late so we could enjoy the experience — and we’re so grateful they did!
The setting was absolutely stunning — quiet, serene, and surrounded by natural beauty. It was the kind of view that makes you want to take a deep breath and stay a while. The wines were just as memorable, especially the Zinfandels — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.
To top it all off, we were greeted by Poppy, the sweetest dog who made the whole experience even more charming. Between the warm hospitality, the incredible wines, and the peaceful ambiance, it was the perfect way to wind down our day.
Highly recommend Porter Creek for anyone looking for a relaxing, intimate tasting experience with a personal touch.“
“This was our first stop celebrating a 30th birthday through a day of wine tours! Cory was our server and he did not disappoint. We continued to talk about the unique and individualized experience we got from him for the remainder of the day. The grounds were immaculate, clean, and absolutely stunning. Can’t wait to come back!“
“Went here today with a group of 7. Couldn’t have been better honestly. Ellyn, was an amazing host. Met us at the door and waved as we were driving away. Engaging, funny, and professional. The wines across the board were impressive. Really liked the width of styles in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Don’t miss it. Views are beautiful as well.“
“Our visit to the Smith Story tasting room was fantastic. We tried a lot of great wines. Ali and Eric are great hosts. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We also got our photo with Lord Sandwich! We routinely ship their wines to our home. Can't say which we like best but their sparkling wine is outstanding.“
“Delicious wine and knowledgeable staff!“
“We had a wonderful experience here. The taster was very knowledgeable and friendly, we had a great conversation about food. The wine was excellent. I was able to ask a lot of questions, and see maps of where the grapes were grown while we were tasting.“

“We had relatives come visit from out of state. This was a busy weekend due to the wine and food event in our area. The tasting room was very busy, but the staff, especially Jan, took the time to provide the key information that makes Portalupi Winery so special. As a result, you have increased your loyal supporter's group by a significant amount. And the wine was exceptional too!“
“The Wine Road is where it's at. Having run 3 different tourist friendly businesses in Sonoma County for the last 20 years, I depend on the hard work of the Wine Road. The amount of traffic that Beth and her team have driven towards my businesses is stellar.“
“Love the atmosphere and champagnes !! Joined my first wine club with them !!“
“My wife and I were in the area in July 2021. We just randomly chose places and Williamson was one we figured was open, not busy, and got more personal assistance while tasting some great wines. I bought a bottle of their 2016 Cab Franc and off we went. Flash forward to October 2022 and we had a family gathering. I figured it was time to open the bottle to share. It was one of the best wines we’ve ever had at a family gathering. Now I’m in charge of “bringing the party” to these events and I outdid myself with this. I wholeheartedly would recommend stopping here if you’re in the area.“
“My husband and I hosted a stunning rehearsal dinner at Orsi. Mark and his team were extremely accommodating and made all our wedding dreams come true! The venue was spectacular, and our guests were able to check out the vines & wine production area. Mark was so delightful to work with and helped manage our various vendor & catering deliveries before and after the event. Not to mention, Orsi's wine is out of this world. Do yourself a favor and order a case of the Sauv Blanc immediately :)“

“Perfect 100000000/10 winery no notes, best weiners I've ever had in my life, beat pin I've ever come across, maybe considering to get married here, will return to have more weiners and wine, absolutely enhanced if you play old school jazz or PRIMUS while consuming wine and weiner.“
“Beautiful wines! Keith was a top notch host, friendly, informative and interesting. Thank you!“
“We simply cannot get enough Hartford! We had a large group in from NC and Pete took excellent care of us. The tasting is always fantastic, and the whole Hartford property is so beautiful. We’ve been members since 2017- and certainly one of our favorite wineries in Sonoma. ❤️“
“Fun time. Awesome grounds too.“
“Had a wonderful tour and tasting with Kat. Loved the history, philosophy of the winery/vineyard and current wine making practices. The food and wine pairings were spot on. Our entire grow up (6 in all) lives EVERY wine we were served which usually doesn’t happen. It was all so well balanced and smooth and just extraordinarily made. Truly a treasured find.“
“Great wine! Easy to ride to !“
“Ok if the wines are extraordinary, Rob is even more! Charismatic and so easy to understand through his presentation. Came here with our son and daughter in law as their first visit to Sonoma and they loved it! The Pinots are amazing and the Chardonnay is outstanding ?. Hope you visit them!“
“Great Wine! The Pinot Noir is wonderful and this Year the Chardonnay is out of sight!“
“Leo was an outstanding host for our walk-in experience at TGE. He's a true sommelier that clearly loves his craft and the time he spent with my daughter, introducing her to the dinner points of wine tasting and technique was very much appreciated. Looking forward to a return visit during Harvest Fest.“
“We had a private tasting for 4 people, and we all came away so happy. Our host was friendly, knowledgeable and funny. The wine was excellent, and the cheese plate (all local cheeses) was delicious.
We highly recommend visiting Dutton Goldfield Winery.
P.S. we forgot the name of our host, he lives in Sebastopol.“
“A lovely family owned winery with excellent wines.“
“My brother made reservations while we were going to a few wineries in the area.
The day we went was a tad rainy but the weather made the experience more special.
We were greeted by a cute grey tabby while we waited for our table.
Once seated we were welcomed with delicious wines and great ambience.
Slowly other wine tasters left and our group was the last.
Super charming and personalable winery.
Not to mention the wine will blow your socks off.
Highly recommend!“
“Comstock Wines is set in an absolutely beautiful location. We had a seated tasting with Erik, who was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the wines. He made the entire experience both memorable and enjoyable. I learned a lot about wine, and his enthusiasm truly made the experience unforgettable! We loved the wines so much that my father-in-law even bought half a case to be shipped home to Florida. All in all, it was a fantastic experience.“
“My first visit to Sonoma was highlighted by the wine tasting at Longboard. Each wine was outstanding and the staff were incredibly friendly. The tasting room is quaint, and while not on a huge vineyard with expansive views, the delicious wines outshined every other vineyard I went to. Put this place on your next itinerary!“
“First time wine ? tasting at a venue like this. Wow incredible experience and awesome customer service what a wonderful experience. We will certainly be back soon.
Shout out to Shane and Paul at Wilson Winery for the award winning customer service“
“Nice, quaint tasting room in town. We had a great time trying a variety of reds and especially loved the Zin and Syrah. Reed, our tasting host was very knowledgeable, personable and down to earth. He took the time to answer all our questions and I can’t say enough about the experience overall. It’s definitely a must try for anyone visiting.“
“Amazing wine tasting in a natural beautiful environment“
“The food was good and the wine even better. This place is a gem. Definitely will be back.“
“The finest wine tasting experience in all of Sonoma County. We were greeted by Camille, a charming and knowledgeable woman with family roots from both Russian River Valley and Dijon, France. We saw soil samples from the different properties and learned how that variable influenced the various single-clone Chardonnays produced at this world-class estate.“
“Really great wines! Each wine is such a thoughtful & unique expression of the vineyard it represents. Congratulations on critical acclaim!“

“They had 21 Pinot Noirs and one Chardonnay which was their first endeavor with that grape. They hit a home run with it. I was even able to get a chilled bottle, just what I was looking for on a hot day. The Pinots were all good, some very dry, some not so much but not jammy.“
“Great wines. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.“
“So glad we popped in here! We are visiting from Denver and had been to Blanchard in Denver and thought we ought to pop in here. (They have two places, one in Denver and one here in Sonoma). We did not have a reservation beforehand but the proprietor (Mark Blanchard) welcomed us warmly and had the table set for us quickly. By the way, you don’t stand at a bar here—you are welcomed to have a seat around a table to taste and enjoy the wine. He served wine liberally and spent a good amount of time chatting with us and he was a warm, fun and friendly host.
The wine was genuinely delicious across the board, and the “wine culture” component here was straight up down to earth and friendly. No snobby attitude at all. He taught us a lot about their process and it was so cool to visit such a small, family owned operation. As a military veteran I also appreciate that one of the two Blanchard Brothers is a fellow US Air Force Academy graduate/military veteran!
If you want to get fantastic wine, have a nice visit with a small, family owned winery, and support a military veteran business—come and visit!!
Mark, thank you for giving us a great time!!“
“We found this gem while strolling through Healdsburg Downtown like the first reviewer. Loved the ambiance and the outdoor seating, the staff were very very courteous and I would definitely come back to this place. They offer peanuts with the wine tasting and the taste is unique. Lots of 2/3 hours parking nearby. I would strongly recommend it.“
“Did a private tasting on 9/10 at Paul Hobbs winery. The whole experience was amazing and great. The food was an excellent treat along with the tasting wines. The service was amazing and location was just amazing. Highly recommend to pass by this winery for a great tasting experience.“
“Beautiful day to enjoy great wine.“
“We just left a wine tasting at The Drink and had the best experience with Lucy!! She was such a lovely person and very knowledgeable about both the wines in our flight and the area overall. As first time visitors, it was a great experience for us!! Thank you, Lucy and Leo Steen Wines!“
“I thought this winery was totally awesome, Tony was very knowledgeable and helpful. The tastings and the food pairings were great. He went above and beyond what we expected, highly recommend.“
“Wine tasting, a Swedish owner, great wine, cool staff and the owner is like an angle, sweet, nice and Swedish;). A lot of wine, good wine, Cabernet Sauvignon is World Class. Swedish X-mas decorations with small and large "Tomtar". Wonderful truck outside and the wineyard was surronding us when we had some wine, sweet environment and very relaxed place - HIGHLY recommendable.“
“We had a great tasting experience at Matrix. The views were amazing and so were the wines. Special thanks to our pourer, very knowledgeable and friendly. Only thing missing was having snacks available for purchase like simple grab and go charcuterie or chocolates or fruit. I would recommend having simple vending machine type snacks available.“
“Jeremy absolutely made our experience complete! Not only was the wine delicious and the tasting experience wonderful, but he took a personal interest in our trip and wrote out a detailed itinerary for us to go see Bodega Bay. It was one of the highlights of our trips and we wouldn't have thought of it had it not been for Jeremy's kindness and hospitality!“
“I fell in love with Twomey years ago when I found it for one of the wine lists I put together for a restaurant. Since then, I haven’t had Twomey because it is not sold in stores. Since Twomey has impeccable Pinot Noir and they are the sister winery of Silver Oak, we decided to get a membership so that we could enjoy year round! It was truly an amazing time visiting the vineyard.
The staff was great! They had everything ready to go for us when we arrived. Their wine knowledge is impeccable and we really enjoyed ourselves outside at a table overlooking spectacular views!
If you are visiting Sonoma or Napa, find one or two vineyards prior to going and sign up for a membership! Not only do you get complimentary tastings at the vineyards (typically $50-$150 per person depending on the vineyard, but some vineyards have additional perks like this charcuterie board from Oakville. We are so happy we joined the membership program at 2 vineyards and we LOVE the wines we have received from them. Their Pinot Noir is some of the best out of the Russian River and Anderson Valley. We also learned we like California Sauvignon Blanca and Twomey has an excellent Sauv Blanc. They definitely stick to what they are good at and produce some amazing Pinot Noirs and their sister vineyard Silver Oak does the same with Cabernet Sauvignon.
We at receiving another shipment this week in and we will be stocked for the holiday season! I cannot recommend enough, getting a membership to at least 2 vineyards before your trip to wine country! You will not regret it!! We picked the 3 bottle membership which basically pays for itself with one wine tasting. You also receive a membership discount on bottles at the vineyard and in your shipments that come 3 times a year! Cheers!!“
“It’s all about family! Every time we visit it’s always a family feel The great wine is just a bonus..... highly recommend!!♥️“
“Just returned from California and a highlight of our trip was Koblers vineyard. Mike Jr was so passionate & informative when educating us on Koblers wine. His warm & welcoming demeanour really made our visit fun. We enjoyed the cheese & wine pairing. Such a wonderful host and the homely setting is lovely.
P.s. our wine survived the return journey to Scotland!“

“Finally opened their Pinot from 2020, no joke, one of the better Pinot noirs I’ve had in a long time. it was light and peppery. Enough blush to let you know that it came from and was handled by individuals that care about their craft. Going to the winery, you don’t get a huge hullabaloo, or glitzy glam, like you would from the the Disneyland, wineries of today’s Sonoma and Napa, counties, but something of more of a throwback of yesteryear, When it was more about the grape, and less about the show. I would recommend this winery to anyone who likes to take a road less traveled. The journey will reward you well.“
