When I used to work in the area, I'd get their lunch plates they have wrapped up in the open fridge. Viet BBQ Chicken, Fried Egg Roll, and rice noodles are my go-to.

They also serve noodle soup, which a friend of mine way back said tasted like her mom's, very good; Chicken Pho.

“Pho is all about the broth, and this place was amazing. You can tell the broth was cooked with a lot of bones and flavors like star anise because you can see the nice fat in the broth. I consider myself a bit of a pho connoisseur, and this was the best pho around El Cerrito. Portions are generous as well. I recommend the large combination (PHỞ XE LỮA) beef noodle bowl.“

“Great new Vietnamese place off Gilman and San Pablo. Very beautiful paintings in the shop. Huge portions. Family friendly. Fast service. Pho was delicious, not too hot, and had loads of noodles and savory broth. Major bonus points for using a stoneware bowl and not having the hot soup in a plastic bowls with plastic utensils. Spring rolls are fresh and filling. Bhan mi is exceptional value, huge with loads of toppings, soft bread, and tasty protein. We will absolutely be back!“

“Stopped by here for my first time as I was working in the area today. I work all over Northern California and eat phő In as many places as I possibly can

I ordered the number eight and was not disappointed. The tendon was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth and the broth was one of the best that I've ever had. Definitely in the top five of all time. They don't skip on the herbs and bean sprouts either. In terms of the tendon, it is surprising how many other restaurants will serve tendon that is hard and unpleasant to eat.

The service here was fast, attentive (my water was filled consistently right before I ran out).

The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect out of a hole in the wall Vietnamese restaurant and I love that.

Do yourself a favor and try the chili oil/chili crisp. It is mildly spicy and has what I think is a bit of lemongrass in the background which is a nice touch if you add it to your soup.

I highly recommend you at least try the phő. I can't speak for any of the other dishes on the menu, but if they as well executed as the phő, you can't go wrong!“

But BE WARNED that the website for this restaurant is maintained by a third party (Simplemenu) that adds 15-20% to the price for each menu item for pickup and delivery orders. This upcharge is not separately identified or disclosed on the website. I pointed out this issue when picking up my online order. The cashier shrugged, was aware of the price difference, and explained that they don't run their own website. Try calling instead to get the actual menu price - although it's very hard to get anyone to answer the phone.“

“I love the food here and have eaten here many times. I usually get the pho or banh mi. The smoothies are delicious! But the boba is gross. It always has a bite to it and never tastes sweetened with brown sugar or honey. That's fine though, I just don't order it!

Unfortunately the woman working at the front makes me feel like I'm not welcome or inconveniencing her every time we order. We always say hi, sometimes we have questions, and tell her to have a nice day, but we either never get a response or the response is low energy. Highlights include the patio seating area with heaters, complimentary tea station, their generous portions, and friendly staff.Favorite dishes are hands down the pho and vermicelli bowls. Their vermicelli bowls might be my favorite in east bay, and I love the amount of nước chấm and vegetables that comes with it. “Food is delicious. Their bahn mi sandwiches have quality flavor and are packed generously with meat and veggies. When I ordered it, they did communicate to me it would take long about 25 mins. However I did end up waiting about 35-40 mins. Order ahead of time if you're in a rush. I noticed other people were waiting a while for their food as well. There was only one person taking orders and delivering food. They are family owned and ran. I hope they can hire more people to make it run more efficiently.I do like how they have tofu bahn mi as an option! Most bahn mi places don't offer that.The seats seem scattered. However there is various options for seating which is good for large groups. I would come back, but probably order ahead of time!“

“Can't rly give atmosphere 5 stars because it's takeout only but the wife and I love this place! Banh mi is excellent, as are the bowls of whatever. “Stopped in with the family for dinner. We had the shrimp rolls, basket of fries, a pork banh mi, a chicken rice plate, and a pork rice plate. Everything was delicious. The little one loves the aoli sauce that came with the fries.They offer water for free, and have a variety of canned soda to drink.“

I tried their Seafood Beef Noodle Soup w/ egg noodles, so good!! Great sandwiches too! The photo doesn't do it justice. Good portions of fish cake, shrimp, squid and imitation crab plus got a cup of their fried chili oil for the ultimate depth of flavor in their already rich beef broth. Always egg noodles over rice noodles for me.

These remarks are already made with only a couple visits and I can't wait to try everything else on the menu!

It was my first time eating at this location and as soon as we walked in, they made you feel like they have known you forever or that we were regulars. I noticed that some regulars who walked in, they already knew what they were going to order and were greeted exceptionally well. The food of course matched the service. Was very good. “Pho is good quality, but expensive for what it was. It seems like a neighborhood place that was forced to up its prices but never did the same for the presentation or composition. Seems very legit, homey atmosphere, like in a past life I had come here every weekend with my family and bought the gacha toys from the dispensers.
