We originally came to Chinatown to eat at the other famous place down the street from here, but there was a 2 hour wait there and we needed to eat and get going to the Dodger game! The Mao's Hometown was just-right spicy, and I'm sure they put more than $2 extra shrimp on my order. Service friendly and prompt, loved the art. “We stopped in for the first time while we were at the mall, and we were absolutely blown away by how tasty the food was. Our server, Win, was so sweet and helped us with a couple of recommendations. The food comes to the table really fast, and everything was bursting with flavor. I’m kind of blown away by this little hidden gem within the mall. If you like Din Tai Fung, which many of us do, I think this is an awesome place to add to the rotation—or maybe even replace it!“

Ash was warm and genuine, gave great recommendations, and kept our drinks and plates taken care of all night without us ever having to flag anyone down. “Been coming here for as long as I can remember - I suppose as long as this iteration has existed. The H.Way Frontier is a place you’re introduced to early on if you’re below the line film crew in Burbank running with a rigging or art dept./set Dec crew. This storefront carries on the tradition as I’ll often bump into fellow industry crew here.
All that stuff is well and good but the real reason we congregate here is THE FOOD. There are other good Chinese restaurants in LA but this place to me is by far the best. Consistently wonderful, delicious, very good portion sizes and a nice menu variety. It’s quick (15 minutes or less) and the lunch specials are a great deal. I’m not usually this gushy about anything but Frontier Wok Too deserves every bit of praise I can throw at it. If my family is in the mood for Chinese Food there’s only one choice for us and that is right here. With no traffic it’s still a 20 minute drive one way but it’s worth every minute once we’re sitting down to eat it. You can’t go wrong at Frontier Wok Too. If you haven’t tried it you simply must and you can be the judge.“

“One of several new malatang places in the area, Bruin Bowl is not a large place, but they seem to have a solid selection of meats, veggies, noodles, and seafood despite their modest size. Both the bone broth and the chicken/fish maw soup bases are pretty tasty too. Excellent option if you're in the area.“

Orange Chicken was fantastic. Not too sweet, nice and crispy, and quality chicken.

Mongolian beef was probably my second favorite. Also tried the Singapore Rice Noodle and House Chow Fun, the latter of which had perfectly cooked shrimp.

Amazing egg rolls as well. Overall really good takeout for a solid price.“

“Probably one of the best kept secrets in Chinatown in Los Angeles. The food is simply amazing. The best Kung Pao Chicken in town. The pepper steak is fantastic. The orange chicken is crispy and on point. The facilities are clean and welcoming. For our team lunch, we were given the private room that seats about 60 people.“
