Ghirardelli is an absolute must-visit location if you want to experience a truly memorable dessert. The atmosphere inside the shop is wonderful, highly welcoming, and filled with the amazing aroma of fresh chocolate. Their famous world-class ice cream sundaes topped with handmade hot fudge are incredible-rich, creamy, and perfectly made. The retail section is exceptionally well-organized, offering a huge selection of chocolate squares and varieties that are perfect for gifts or personal treats. Even during busy hours, the staff is very polite, fast, and professional.

“Fantastic gelato! Honestly better than many gelatos I’ve tried in Italy. You can tell that each flavor is homemade and made with high quality ingredients. Apparently the fruit flavors contain more than 50% of the actual fruit! We had the watermelon, brownie, and pistachio and loved every bite.

The owners are lovely and we also got to meet their cute corgis. Seriously could not recommend this place more; if I lived nearby I would come here all the time.“

“Seaport, Boston location. Staff MADE SURE I was picking the flavor that I really wanted. They wanted me to feel like a welcome tourist. Mission Accomplished.“

“This Burbank location is a smaller store compared to some of the other Handels. Basically you would go up to one of several windows and order from the menu signs outside the store. They will made your item(s) and call you for pickup. There is seating area outside the store. Smaller but same great tasting homemade ice cream since 1945!“

“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. Our group did try some of other flavors, like the rhubarb one, but some of the flavors did not come through - so be to get a taste before deciding“

“I love Freddo. Their coffee and ice cream are fantastic (I love all of their Dulce de Leche flavors). Their empanadas, medialunas, and alfajores are great too. The people working there is nice and friendly. There is a nice patio in the back too. Parking can be tricky but you can always find a spot if you move away from Ventura. It’s open late too, so if you are looking for a espresso in the evening, this may be just the place for you“

“I came to this spot by accident, yes you heard me. I was looking for another ice cream shop and ran across this one. I purchased a double scoop to go. I scoop of vanilla and and one scoop of praline pecan ice cream in a cup survive the ride home. Once inside the house, that ice cream didn't stand a chance. It didn't have that frost bitten taste that you experience from store bought ice cream. I will try again and I recommend going there.“

We went with a large party and we were served quickly.

Everyone enjoyed their ice cream and we were surprised by the reasonable prices for the quantity and quality of the ice cream.

The facility was clean and the seating comfortable.

There is seating at all locations, some with more than others.

Parking is available, but can get busy during peak hours.

“My God I’m so grateful. I was already in little Tokyo and wanted a matcha. A quick google search lead me to this place and it’s said to be the best in LA. I think, I can agree with that statement. What in grateful is it was a Saturday evening, they work till 8pm. All other days they close at 5pm and Monday they are closed. I ordered oatmeal matcha latte , it was 6.50 and worth it“

“Delicious ice cream. Nice variety of selections. I got the affogato and it was perfect. The young kid with the curly hair in his eyes is extremely rude and grumpy. No hello, nothing. Gave us an attitude when we asked him about the cones. It's an ice cream shop. Smile more, you're working in the wrong place kid.Unfortunately this is the norm now with this generation.“
