“I came here for gelato, and it was absolutely delicious! Both the sugar cone and the cup were excellent. The strawberry flavor is my favorite, and it was simply perfect. We also brought our little dog with us, and she was welcomed so warmly and received lots of attention. We’re so happy we found this place. “We were going to be in town for my grandson's Birthday so we decided to order an ice cream cake ahead of time near where we would be.I am very picky and ordered a special cake with ice cream chosen for each little cone that would be on top of the cake and of course a special ice cream that they did not have on their list for the month. I did this by phone. The woman I spoke to was very nice and assured me my order would be right and ready on time. It was.The place is just spotless and the service is wonderful. We were so pleased with the cake. It was great. We also had some ice cream while we were there and it too was wonderful.We especially loved the service from the B&R. “I wish I got his name, but the gentleman who was working on Monday night was really nice. My wife and I appreciated his friendly demeanor and personality. I happened to want to try the three flavors that had just come in the past two days. I ended up getting the strawberry yuzu cheesecake scoop which was excellent with the tart yuzu balancing out the sweet strawberry and rich cheesecake. That said the sour cream blueberry donut and sweet corn and blueberry flavors were also great.“

I’m usually a creature of habit here. I know what I’m getting before I even arrive. I’ll sample the seasonal and the oddball flavors for fun, but nine times out of ten, I end up right where the tourists do. Honey Lavender on a sugar cone. Locked in. No notes.

This visit, I was sampling as usual when a team member offered me a flavor and thoughtfully let me know it contained trace amounts of alcohol. I appreciated the heads-up. I took the sample, said “thank you, that’s fine,” then jokingly added that I was only 92 days sober and chuckled. The look on her face was of nervousness. I immediately told her it was a joke, and she carried on with assisting me.

In hindsight, I felt a little bad for putting her in that moment, but what stood out was how professionally and kindly she handled it. She stayed composed, respectful, and warm the entire time.

That kind of response says a lot, not just about her, but about the team culture at this location.

Sampling here always feels welcoming, never rushed, never awkward, even when customers deliberately make things… momentarily awkward.

“Ever since I had Hokkaido ice cream, I’ve been dreaming about it. I love that Indigo Cow opened up in LA, and I don’t have to fly to Hokkaido to get it!

The soft serve ice cream is served in two flavors here. I highly recommend the Hokkaido milk! You won’t get a creamier softer ice cream than anywhere else. I opted to add the mochi, brown sugar syrup, and roasted soy bean powder for an extra $2. It wasn’t bad, but I think I would add warabimochi next time!

I was here after dinner, and there were no other patrons. I didn’t have to wait. The place is small, but there is indoor seating and water station. No bathroom though.

Parking here is tough because you have to find a spot on the street.

“My boyfriend and I are writing this review to support the employees at this store. We witnessed a customer yelling, cursing, and treating the staff with complete disrespect. As first time customers, we appreciated how professionally the employees handled the situation & prioritized safety.

We sincerely hope these employees are paid well because dealing with this level of entitlement & hostility takes a toll on anyone's mental well being, especially kind people who are simply trying to do their jobs. Standing for hours and dealing with different and difficult people is not a job anyone wakes up and is happy to take. Now a days people don’t want to deal with people.

This customer created an uncomfortable environment for everyone in the shop, yet the staff remained calm and respectful throughout.
