“Chocolate Oreo Ice Cream! Let me tell you it definitely hit the spot, one of the best ice creams I've tried I can see why it's one of their top flavors. I got the single scoop and it's a good amount of serving but I should have gotten a double scoop for sure! If you love chocolate ice cream and Oreos, then this is the perfect flavor for you. Although, there is a hint of coconut in the aftertaste in case you're not too huge on coconut. But the actual flavor overpowers it. We went late at night but the service was still good! You have to be careful not to miss the window it's right next to a small coffee shop. There's a few chairs around to sit after or you can walk around and see the other shops around. Very small space but great ice cream! I will definitely need to go back and try other flavors!“

“I have been coming to the shop since I was a teenager and I can't believe I didn't write a review sooner. Iove their tortas, they are made with so much love & presented with perfection. The meat is tender and juicy always. My mom also loves them, she says they remind her of ones she had growing up in Mexico. They sell plenty of delicious options as well. Ranging from ice cream, nachos, smoothies etc. If you're ever in Boyle Heights I highly recommend it's definitely a gem & it will forever be my favorite place to grab a torta. I was able to try a number of different chocolates they have available before buying. I would also highly recommend the tour of their facility, which comes with a tasting of a number of their different chocolates. I learned a lot about the chocolate industry and how they make chocolate in-house. If you ever had a chance to try Monster Ice in Taiwan you know what I mean :) I was very happy though they had my favorite flavor, black sesame. It wasn't as flakey as I expected it to be and just a bit too sweet for my personal preference. Sweet beans and mochi was a nice touch. The milk sauce wasn't necessary in my opinion. I would come back if I happened to be in the area but wouldn't make a trip just for that.“

We ordered 3 shave ice and almost immediately my 3yr old spilled hers. They quickly made her a whole new order at no charge. Then halfway through her ice she had a meltdown because she now wanted "rainbow" colors on hers. They were happy to transform it into rainbow colors again at no charge. (Think Cookie Monster Oreo ice cream) My only complaint is that they don't have as much donut options as their sister shop, Donut Friend. Parking can be kind of tricky as it does get busy on sunset and it's street parking only.“
