Absolutely worth the wait but definitely recommend getting a reservation if you can.

We ended up sitting outside which excluded us from getting any alcoholic beverages which was fine because we got drunk on pizza!

We split a Caesar salad, pickled vegetable appetizer, and ordered two pizzas for three people. It was more than enough food and we polished off the meal by splitting a tiramisu. It was define!

The dough really was the star of the show here with a soft chewy texture at the center, but a crispy crust.

I definitely wanna come back and sit at the bar as I’m sure it’s fun to watch them make the pies as you’re enjoying them.“

“Truly incredible. I found out about this place from the LA food podcast, and it really delivered. It looks like a hole in the wall, but you walk in and are greeted by music and delicious smells. The staff are very attentive and nice and our pizza was warmed up quickly. It was fun being there, we got to see the pizza getting made and someone shaking bread and pesto in a bucket. The actual pizza was delicious. Even the cheese pizza was so so flavourful and had such a good texture. Definitely will be coming back!“

“Wow, what a place. The food is spectacular. Hamachi crudo (ciitrus and floral explosion in my mouth). The meatballs: high quality meat, extremely generous size, it’s a crave. Margherita and mortadella pizzas were sumptuous - the crust was chewy and perfect.

We felt like an extension of family - it was like a welcoming home. Juanito, Luis, Christine, Samantha, Ivan, and Jordan were warm, kind, and extremely knowledgeable and guided us through the experience. This is an absolute gem. “Outstanding and HUGE sandwiches that will easily feed two people or one really hungry sandwich lover. The pizza is just as delicious and like the sandwiches, the 12” feeds two people. One of the secrets to Baked is their homemade crust that doubles as bread on the sandwiches. For dessert try fresh hot churros!“

“I would describe De La Nonna as an elevated pizza restaurant. As with most pizza joints, they serve up beer, salad and pizza, but this not your standard fare.

Start off with a craft beer, wine, or a fancy cocktail (or mocktail). Lots of choices to be had.

For starters, we ordered the market salad which had a fantastically light tangerine(?) dressing. The dressing on the ceaser salad was a bit heavy, but it was still tasty.

The eggplant caponata appeared to have been lightly fried and coated in a sweet and savory sauce. Very good.

As for the pizzas, all were insanely good. Each was like a pillowy soft deep dish pizza and they all came with the best crispy edges.

IMO the roasted mushroom pizza was the best — and I'm not a fan of mushrooms.

Prices are a bit higher than you would find at a typical pizza place, but again, these are not your typical pizzas. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere, chill.

Dietary restrictions: They were able to accommodate customers with celiacs.“

“I had the Maséhati pizza, and it was absolutely amazing. The ingredients were so fresh, and the flavors were incredible. The warm aroma of basil pesto paired perfectly with the savory and flavorful prosciutto topping. The ricotta cheese was soft, creamy, and just downright delicious. On top of that, the owner was super friendly and welcoming. This is hands down the best pizza spot in LA. If you’re craving pizza, you have to try this place!“

We also loved the Rucola salad with the lemony dressing, as well as the Carciofi (artichoke) app. And the pappardelle pasta was delish as always! Stopped by around 8pm the other night and I believe Jeremy was helping me, nice guy and offered good recommendations. I went with the Mortadella focaccia and it was outstanding!

It's served slightly warmed as the focaccia is toasted which offers a nice contrast in temperature and texture from the filing. The bread is out of this world. I know the flavor but it just can't come to me as I write this review, but there is so much flavor packed into the bread, I could buy loaves of that alone. It's crusty on the outside and pillowy on the inside.

The mortadella is piled high with good pieces of pistachio and a slight saltiness. The burrata is creamy and smooth while the pistachio cream offers a nice nuttiness and more rustic flavor to blend everything together. Such simplicity truly makes the best sandwiches.“

“I though the owner was a actually really cool guy, and the inside with outside tables were just as good as the decorations to the building; it was a clean and well managed place. Also, the pizza does have the option to be sold by the slice, and the prices are far better than some sewer sidwalk shop in downtown LA chargning you 9$ by the slice or something. Other than the pizza kinda being cinematically great, yeah, that cheese kinda stretches like the movie animations or live action's; I highly recommend it to anyone passing through. “We were in town from Palm Springs for the day and went to Little Goat after finding it online. One of the best spur of the moment stops ever - we absolutely loved the pizza and the service was phenomenal, super sweet server. We ordered two pizzas - margarita and the chef’s special apple/walnut/kale/caramelized onion/goat cheese. They were both amazing! We eat a lot of pizza and definitely have a new top favorite. Outdoor seating has both stellar views and people watching; there is a cute patisserie down the street that’s an amazing desert stop for the perfect date night; we will definitely stop by next time we are in town! We will try the house made panna cotta next time. :) Highly recommend checking them out!“

“My husband and I just recently discovered this Gem about little over a month ago . We’ve already been here twice and Oh my goodness this place is amazing!!!!!!! First and foremost, the customer service is top tier!!!! Mike is absolutely amazing , he’s very attentive and has such a beautiful soul . ☺️ as for the food , it is absolutely delicious!!!!!!!! The pizza is soooo good the first time we went I had the Margherita pizza thin crust, the second time I went I had a classic pepperoni thin crust , both times were delicious. Add the hot honey and oh ny goodness ….. it makes it even better!! We also had the buffalo wings , and garlic fries . Everything tasted amazing! We will be stopping by here often.“

“NYC cheese slices are my jam, and we have an embarrassment of riches in Sherman Oaks. Within a mile of each other, there are three, count 'em three, authentic NY slice shops. My son and I visited all three of them on a self-guided cheese slice tour of Sherman Oaks. Pizza Wagon was stop three on the tour!

The atmosphere is good...NY decor on the walls in what feels like a truly neighborhood / not-chain space. The service was great too...the staff worked quickly and were abundantly friendly and helpful.

They do a good job with authentic style slices...the right amount of crisp on the crust and a good ratio of sauce versus cheese. The chew was good, though both the crust and sauce don't quite have the superior flavor profile of the nearby places.

It's definitely a good alternative to those, though, and miles ahead of the major chain pizzas in terms of NY style.“

“Enjoyed the cheese NY style pizza. Only criticism would be that there was no prosciutto in the piggie smalls panino. Don’t church it up…that’s straight up sliced ham. Would go again for the pizza (gotta try the 8Mile), but would skip the panino.“
