“We were visiting Joshua and were staying nearby. Walked over Saturday night. Place was packed but the service was efficient, friendly and organized. Best of all the pizza was delicious. Crust was perfect, toppings were generous. Great place to visit.“

“I'd move to Joshua Tree just to drink coffee in the mornings at Country Kitchen...“

“A must go to spot when traveling to Joshua Tree, CA with friends or family. I've frequented this establishment numerous times, but never had the chance to leave a review. Recently stopped by for a quick drink with a coworker, after finishing a 3 day job in 29 Palms. This Saloon was on our way home. We grabbed the west coast IPA beer that is brewed in Coachella Valley. Definitely hit the spot after a long project. Sorry, forgot the exact IPA name, bar tender suggested we go with that particular IPA. Great choice!
Entrance is through the back. Follow the signs. You have to walk through the backside outside patio to enter the inside of the establishment.“

“This place is awesome and perfect for picking up food before or after hiking at Joshua tree! Yesterday I got the vegan breakfast burrito and it was so yum. Today I got vegan pesto pasta salad and a container of vegan choc chip cookies. They also have some good snacks and drinks. Def recommend checking it out! Updated from previous review on 2026-03-30“

“Jass served us and went above and beyond to ensure we had exactly what we wanted. She also offered to cut our subs in thirds and wrap them individually, knowing we were eating on the road. Such customer service! We are tourists and likely will never be this way again, but if we were locals, we would go to this Subway just to have Jass’ outstanding customer service. Thank you, Jass for taking the time to make our day more special! We hope your manager will recognize you and - if you are the manager - pat yourself on the back!“

“We again tried Royal Thai in Joshua Tree, new management.
I have fairly extreme problems with any ethnic food not designed vegetarian…and while they did not have any meals meals designated vegan or vegetarian, after the explanation that after 55 years, my body could not handle “oyster sauce” or anything animal.
Believing that I was ordering “incredibly bland”, asking for my mixed vegetables only with “garlic and ginger”…they offered “salt”.
I asked for no salt as well.
It was not busy and the kitchen agreed…
My meal was FABULOUS…the produce used was fresh and flavorful, and the meal was incredibly NOT salty…so I could taste the robust flavors.
My wife, not vegetarian also ordered mixed vegetables…normal…and added shrimp…and her verdict was the shrimp tasted as fresh as any quality shrimp she has had in CA.
Hint: their levels of “spicy hot” may exceed your levels of comfort…order and amend to taste.
We are delighted that we do not need to drive to Palm Springs for Thai…less than 2 miles from us.
(The server was polite and sweet…as you would expect for Thai)“

“Visited The Dez on a trip from NJ and had my favorite meal here! The lentil and hummus on pita was delicious. I hate cooking and have already recreated it twice back home. I also had the Nancy's Fancy chocolate hazelnut gelato for dessert. Just the best meal. Thank you“
