“Highly commendable service and absolutely stunning set menu! we went here for dinner last night for our Halloween date night! Their wagyu cuts are 100% top-grade and not just random "wagyu" that are below the marks. We tried their A5 and M9 meats, not to mention their salmon carpaccio that is to die for. Their sides are absolutely delicious and smart, one great example is their fried pork buns that is like a spin on soup dumplings. To top it off, you get premium ice cream in the end. Their salad is so good with yuzu and smokey salt, plus you get a chili mix too. They serve the meats fast plus your tablet menu is in front of you so you don't have to keep calling the staff to refill. I give them 9 stars! 🌟 🐄 🥩“

“This is the best BBQ I’ve had in LA. Tried for the first time yesterday - had the brisket and ribs and both were fantastic. Brisket was incredibly tender and the ribs were as well. Mac and Cheese was rich and delicious, greens had a little bite which is a perfect contrast to the richness of everything else we had. Delicious BBQ sauce, enjoyed the sweet slightly more than the spicy but both were great. I can’t wait to come back and try more sides.

“Homemade kimchi, homemade stews, unlimited banchan stations ala Sizzler style, warm and sincere and attentive service, big comfy booths, and headache-free to park at (it's in a strip mall!) and get to compared to the dense traffic of neighboring Koreatown. Apparently this is an original, history-making spot way ahead of its time. And people may come for the all you can eat KBBQ, but straight up I come for the AYCE banchan and Korean dishes that feel like I'm back at home with mom.“

“Miss Gloria is wonderful and her staff is amazing! Some of the best brisket I’ve ever had, very tender and flavorful. Potato salad and Mac n cheese were very delicious as well. Miss Gloria is a sweetheart of a person; I had the pleasure of conversing with her about life and family, while my food was being prepared. Her golden tips on a happy marriage (just got married last year) will stay with me forever. I will be back on future trips to Pasadena!

When they ask if you want spicy, they're asking if you want jalapeno slices. Do it. It's a mild kick at best.

“I tried Argentinian cuisine for the first time. The empanadas were good and big in size. The best chicken soup. Simple yet tasty. The pork chops were so well cooked and tasty. The seafood pasta with shrimp and scallops was also good. The chimichuri dip was yummy.

“Great kbbq place with fresh ingredients and a wide variety of side dishes. They don’t have AYCE here, only combinations — I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food for the one we got. The kimchi fried rice was good, and the meats were all very fresh and tasted delicious with the accompanying sauces. The servers were also more involved in the meat grilling, even for those of us who had experience kbbq before. They also had fun robots around to bring out and take away dishes. We made reservations, which I’d recommend as it was pretty crowded when we went.“

“Rodney's ribs are the Truth. I moved to Pasadena recently. I've had Q at Dreamland in Alabama, 12 Bones in North Carolina, Franklin's in Austin, Corky's in Memphis and Hecky's in Chicago, and this is some of the most righteously smoked meat I've ever had. Thank you, Rodney.“

This place says they’re the masters of barbecue. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. They grill and make everything to order and I got their lamb chops plate, pastrami sando, and wagyu beef shawarma to try. They even gave me and my grandma these Armenian drinks we’ve never tried. I tried their cherry one which tasted like real and not artificial cherry juice. My grandma tried this like mango lemon soda and said it was refreshing. But anyways, The lamb chops were drizzled with a sweet lightly acidic balsamic glaze, weren’t gamey, and had good grill flaves. It also came with a bright, cilantroy tabouleh salad, a bit hard rice, fresh tomatoes and some pickles. The pastrami sando came with savory umami grilled pastrami, nuttty lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and creamy white sauce all on a crispity crunchity panini pressed bread. The wagyu shawarma was my fave and had a crispity crunchity lavash, plenty of tender meaty meat, juicy tomato, nutty lettuce, crunchy pickles, and had some more of that creamy sauce. They also came with some crunchy tangy pickled cabbage and side sauces that paired really well with everything. The green one was bright and cilantory while the white one was creamy and garlicy. Everything tasted pretty quality and fresh. Overall this place is lowkey pretty good.

- Very big portion. I like they let you cut however you wanna cut it

“I live in Lancaster && I don’t mind the driving to come and eat here when I am craving it; IS WELL WORTH IT!!! To be a fast food spot the food is super delicious, very fresh and well cook on the spot. The staff is always in a good mood and always suggesting us to try different sauces. Now that they added pineapple to their selection I am loving it even more. Keep the great Customer Service up, that’s a big Plus.

“I'll give this place a ten star if I could; it's not your average hole in the wall joint! I tried the Spicy BBQ with shrimp fried rice and it was amazing! Even their Thai Tea was one of the best I've had in recent memories. The Shrimp fried rice had the perfect amount of fire taste: not too overpowering and not too subtle which was perfect. The amount was perfect as well: the thing was heavy for just one order. The Spicy BBQ also came with a dipping sauce that was very unique; it was citrous-y and fishy and it wasn't like anything I've tasted before which was amazing! For what it's worth, you can't go wrong with this place!“

“There was such a long wait here on a Sunday night, but it was totally worth it. Little Skewer is my favorite place to get skewers. Once you step inside, you’ll understand why it takes forever to get a table - you won’t want to leave! The atmosphere of the restaurant seems specifically curated to create the perfect environment for eating and drinking. Beers were BOGO. Chinese wines were served in tea pots and dainty little saucers. Beneath the tavern lights, a lounge singer sweetly serenades the diners through the huge karaoke machine at the front of the store.
Service is mostly done yourself through an iPad. You place your own order through the system and workers bring the food out to you.
Meats such as beef and lamb skewers are ordered in batches of 10 and will most likely make up the bulk of your skewers, but there are many other types of additional skewers to choose from. An unexpected favorite for me was the king oyster mushroom skewers. I don’t even like mushrooms, but these king oyster mushrooms were irresistible. Biting into the springy flesh was so satisfying. The spicy, vibrant flavors and juiciness made my mouth water and crave more. The scallops, served in their shells with glass noodles, garlic, scallions, and chili paste, were addictive enough to pound back like shots. I also really liked the chicken skin skewers because the crispiness provided a nice contrast to the other dishes. And I liked the pineapple sausage so much that I ordered two.

“Tasty food, generous servings, below average prices. My wife and I had the roast duck noodle soup. Tasty duck, lots of nice noodles, I think it was Chinese broccoli cooked tender. Broth was okay. Lots of takeout traffic. Not where I would take a first date, run down. Service was okay. Decent parking in the lot. I'd go again for the food. Takeout is ideal. Lots of other menu choices to try. “OMG! Absolutely incredible! My coworkers and I shared Manila Inasal for lunch and were blown away. “We are BBQ folks. We smoke our own and have traveled the country trying different spots. There is so much that goes into BBQ. For those of us who truly love it; it's an art form and science of cuts, color, bark, brine -- the whole deal. We've experienced much of the local (Southern California) flavor and have found a few spots that excel. We moved up to Pasadena recently and were Yelping to see if there was a BBQ spot up here that we could try. When we came upon Mission I was skeptical. It didn't make sense that a BBQ spot would do catering and weekend farmer's market stuff. The only way to see if the reviews were legit was to give it a shot. We found the location at the farmer's market tucked away and because we were late in the day, had to pick from the meats that were left. Ribs, brisket, mac & cheese -- and the two sauces they stocked (mild & spicy). Our order was bundled and we brought it home and launched into the meal. Brisket -- soft, moist, flavorful. Brisket is not easy to cook. It can get dry and -- sometimes greasy from the fat. This was none of that. It was excellent -- some of the best ever. 5/5!!! Ribs -- very good. Solid. My personal perfect-preference is ribs that are just a touch less moist -- but we are talking the difference between 98/100 or 94/100. They were solid. Great flavor. Mac & Cheese. Excellent. Texture, color, flavor, taste -- all outstanding. 5/5!!! Sauce. We had a cup of each of their offerings: spicy and mild. Each had a lovely smokey flavor. The spicy had a nice kick without blowing the back out of your throat. Again -- this is a little nitpicky, but we find the perfect sauce to be a touch less sticky. We've had great first meals and horrible second meals at certain spots and horrible first meals and great second meals. We like to try the food several times before writing reviews so we ordered again for another experience. This time we added baked beans, burnt ends, and smoked chicken to the meal. Second time was exactly as great as the first time. Everything was solid, solid, solid. Now -- the thing that gives Mission six-stars is the folks behind the food. These people are dedicated to making a contribution to the world through food as few are. They are kind, generous, dedicated -- truly amazing!!!! Judith and her family are the kind of folks I want to invite over to have the food we just bought from them!!! Wonderful, wonderful people!! Thank you so much Mission!!!!
