“My fiance and I were in the area for my nephew's wedding. On Sunday morning, we looked for a breakfast location. We prefer the small local restaurants as opposed to the chains. Up popped this Laguna Cafe, close by where we were staying. From the time we entered the door, it was obvious we picked the right spot! it was cozy, homey, friendly and downright delicious. The clientele were all laughing, enjoying the morning and the atmosphere. We got served by Monja, the proprietor, who wore a shirt with our favorite scripture, John 3:16. As we bowed our heads to pray, she gently joined us in prayer. What a blessing. Needless to say, we will go back when in the area. Highly recommend the food too! And say Hi to Monja from Mark and Dianne from Arizona!“

“The salmon roll and beef miso soup were good. The salmon seemed very fresh and had a good texture. There was a decent amount of beef in the soup.
The wait staff seemed very eager for us to order and also the clear the table while we were still eating. I think it would be better if they were a little more patient“

“There are so many donuts places in the areas but this is the place I would want to go back for the good quality donuts. A friendly staff took time to explain about their donuts (the ingredients they use, seasonal items, and flavors etc.) for the first visit that was new to me and felt welcoming.

The Butter Pecan she said it’s popular was indeed delicious as well as the seasonal items with any berries glazed. It took a few mins to get my order ready for eating. Unlike the regular donuts places they don’t just serve us the “ready to eat donuts” from the display but they serve the donuts warm and as fresh as possible.

The flavor of the donuts is a little sweet for my taste but the toppings and glaze are fresh and delicious. Every bite was bursting with the real flavor of berries. As she mentioned they use the local strawberries.

I also recommend the drinks they offered.
The American coffee and sodas are very tasty.

It was a sunny, warm afternoon, and with two dogs in tow, we headed over around noon and snagged an outdoor table. Not only was the service outstanding, our server, unasked, brought a small bowl of water for our dogs. That's never happened before, and I was touched by the thoughtfulness. I ordered the FSC salad, which had a lot of my favorite veggies, and my husband got one of their burgers. One of the best fake meat burgers I've ever tasted -- apparently made with a mushroom base and nut-free for people with allergies. I'm glad he gave me a taste because that burger disappeared in about a minute. The outdoor patio is tranquil, and in a different life, I would have been tempted to stay there the whole afternoon. These are my 2 favorites — fudgy, moist, and with a decent amount of protein. If you are going to get their mini donuts or cake, be prepared for them to be pretty dense as well, and not a typical cakey texture. They use ingredients like coconut oil, protein powder, and nut flours for the base of their treats, so although they may not be super healthy tasting, they do tend to have that healthy kind of ‘vegan cookie’ texture. Pricey, but worth it!“
