“Very nice space and lovely people running the restaurant. Take out experience is efficient. Dining room is comfortable, although somewhat chilly the last time we were there. Eggplant and lamb curries were outstanding. Most other dishes OK to good. Egg rolls not very good. Very reasonable prices.“

5 spice chicken banh mi was insanely good, but also anything with the pork shoulder is gonna be great. Could have passed on the shrimp & pork spring rolls.“

“Before today I was certain that there were no good Vietnamese restaurants in Marin. Then I tried Pho. What a find.

Very simple basic menu, but everything was perfect. Flavorful, fresh, generously sized, good service. Everything was right. We are talking San Francisco - San Jose level of excellence for Vietnamese food. I used to think you had to go to the City to find great Vietnamese food, But now we have it local here in San Rafael. The other Vietnamese restaurants around town can't even compare. This restaurant is now on my short list. Coming back. Five star.“

“Bring cash! Self-seating, so bring someone to save your spot or grab the bar seating against the wall. Order at the counter, your number gets called. Condiments are up front except Sriracha which is at every table.

Came on a Tuesday for a late lunch and it was still packed — clearly social media is driving a lot of tourists here for the rice rolls. Got the Rice Roll Express Roll out of curiosity but wished I'd gone with the Shrimp Feast instead. Not bad, just not my favorite. Also wasn't asked about my optional topping and ended up with cabbage by default, so speak up when ordering.

Would come back to try the Shrimp Feast.“

“I highly recommend this small restaurant and its signature Pho: the broth is perfectly seasoned (with extra salt available on the table), it’s packed with meat, and the noodles are excellent. I love soup and would recommend this spot to tourists; the prices are great, and the place is clean and cozy. The fact that locals dine here is the best guarantee of the food's quality.“

“I took a friend for brunch that has never been to Sula or Cavallo Point. She was so impressed with the food, cocktails, the service and the view. We both had the scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and fruit. Everything was delicious! The bacon was high quality. I wish I could scramble eggs as good as Sula's. We ordered the diplomat cocktail. All outstanding! I was watching other tables and all the other breakfast entree's looked amazing. The chef never disappoints at Farley or Sula. Highly recommend!“

“Great service and some of the best Chinese food I have had. Everything tasted very fresh. The vegetables had a good crunch and the dimsum was outstanding. The siumai was large and the chicken feet had great umami. The sweet and sour pork had really good flavor, texture, and crunch.

The beef chow fun came in a big portion. The tofu beef was amazing. The kung pao chicken had lots of peanuts which made it extra tasty. The beef spareribs were huge with a crispy outside and a tender inside and they were seasoned really well.

The service was great from start to finish. For the first time ever in a Chinese restaurant we did not have any take home food because we devoured everything.“

“Great restaurant serving delicious comfort food of the days growing-up in a Chinese home near a Chinatown. I really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service of the days gone-by. I enjoyed the clay-pot rice with chicken and the clay-pot rice with meat. They are not fancy dishes but it does remind me of days my grandfather made the same dishes. The pot of Oolong tea made the meal a lunch. The amount of food served was great — the leftover was enought for dinner for the both of us. Price was good but it is cash only. Looking forward to returning during the next trip to Chinatown San Francisco.“

“Ask for Jeremy… what an evening. From the time we walked in the door Jeremy made the night. It was the first time we had been there and as we all know going somewhere for the first time can go either way. Jeremy had the perfect balance of hospitality and some “us” time.
Jeremy crushed it, his inviting demeanor and knowledge of the menu was above average. If you are willing to be adventurous, let him pick your meal. I am so glad I did.

“Great place for fresh dim sum and of course won tons. Always good to stock up on frozen won tons to take home too. We had lunch here at this place. We loved it. The soup had a rich broth. Service was nice. Ambiance was great. We had the won ton soup, pea sprouts, and some shrimp and chives dumplings. Definitely a place to go back to. Parking is available right next door at Portsmouth Square.“

The menu is extensive and has a little bit for everyone’s craving for the day. You know it’s a good sign when you walk in and you hear the uncs and aunties yappin. It just means this place is authentic !

The Satay Beef Noodle soup was great. It has a spice in it I can’t pinpoint, but it made it unique to any other beef noodle soup I’ve had. I was expecting a taste closer to bun bo hue, but no it’s something different. Still very tasty! The cucumbers innit was a surprise and it worked very well.

The chicken wings came out piping hot and crunchy. The chicken itself didn’t have much flavor tho.

The chow fun is something I’d order again. The beef was cooked with a Smokiness flavor to it.

This spot accepts card for payment, so I am happy that I didn’t have to pull money at an ATM. The staff is very friendly and can give recommendations“

“Great traditional snacks and baked goods! The staff were incredibly kind—especially the short-haired lady who gently let me know my dress was stained (period mishap) and kindly offered the restroom. So grateful for the warmth and hospitality!“

“Tbk was not spicy enough, but I suspect they might have lowered the spice level to accommodate the majority customers who aren't used to the spice level.

Overall, taste was great, but the price is a bit high since you don't get that large of portion.“

“Best broth ever! I door dashed the rare steak and brisket (pho tai chin) for lunch today, it was amazing 😫 I had been feeling a little sick all day and I think this broth cured me. I want to buy the broth and just drink it. Also when it got delivered to me the broth was hot and they included plenty of toppings, some sauce, a lime slice, and utensils with a napkin. Very yummy thank you very much for the delicious meal. 😊“
