“The food is exceptional. I’ve tried nyc chinese, florida, washington DC etc and this place was really good. The sesame chicken and pork dumplings stood out the most. We also tried the cucumber salad and that was something different but really good. I would definitely recommend giving this a shot for lunch or dinner. If I ever visit again this place will definitely get a 2nd visit from me.“
“It's quite busy here. The service is fast but you can order online in advance.Lemongrass chicken vermicelli (bun ga xa) was flavorful with sweet fish sauce.Turmeric catfish (cha ca la vong) was ok, not a lot of fish. It normally comes with fermented shrimp paste, which I believe is smelly so I ordered it with fish sauce instead.“
“Came here as a group of 8 with two kids. With the pretty interior and given how clean the place was, we all lowered down our expectation for food and expected it to be non-authentic. To our surprise, the food was delicious! Pho as well as vermicelli were on point. Highly recommend this restaurant. The staffs were also so welcoming and kind to the kids!“
“Still on top! I absolutely adore this place. Every time I place an order I feel like I matter to them. It's the little things like remembering my favorite little side of spicy chilies and fish sauce or waiting for me a little after hours when I'm running late from my class that really set this place on top. The food is excellent (and they know how to make it actually spicy which already earns them gold stars from me) but it's their kindness in remembering the details even on Togo orders that really bring me back each time. The interior is beautiful inside and a perfect stop for a lunch or dinner date. Go go go!!!!“
“My husband and I came across your Chestnut location this past weekend! What a wonderful find. The VERY nice gentleman that served us, the best dumplings - I highly recommend the Spicy Sichuan Wontons in Red Oil. Looking forward to our next visit!“
“Great option for ramen on the outskirts of Chinatown located along the cable car line. I came here with a friend and their friend on a rainy night. It was pretty full but we were seated quickly. I love the flowers inside! We shared the Crab Wonton to start and things started on a high note. I liked my tonkotsu ramen and my friend said they'd get the spicy miso ramen again. The broth flavor was rich and thick, and I liked the creaminess of the egg and all the toppings.“
“Glad we caught this place by accident just walking by. Food was superb. Flavourful, delicious beef noodle soup. Also had chicken teriyaki, some dim sum options and spring rolls. Everything was fantastic.Service was attentive, as we were the only ones there. Prices were very reasonable for the area.“
“One of the best restaurants in SFO chinatown. This is one of the ONLY restaurants to open early. After looking for breakfast and finding nothing opens Until 11am- We were not impressed by chinatown in SFO. Much better in other cities. But this place saved us! Good food and good service.“
“We came here for bottomless brunch and drinks and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had! David was our waiter and gave us some of the best service I've ever had! The music was amazing as well and everyone in the restaurant was singing and jamming along! It felt like I was at a club or karaoke, singing along to classic tunes, but with unlimited food and drinks! I will definitely come back again! Salud!“
“We have been coming to this place everytime we come to San Francisco for the last 9 years. The food is fantastic, I literally crave their Dan Dan Noodles and they have some of the best Pork Belly I have ever had. The walk through Chinatown is what we look forward to as well. Service is great and we recommend this place to everyone. Here's to many more years of fantastic food , love San Francisco and love Spicy King!!!“
“Excellent authentic Vietnamese cuisine. A beautiful outdoor patio. The service is exceptional. It's amazing to see such a broad offering of soups, noodles, with a large vegetarian options. will come back with a large group so we sample the menu!“
“Recommended by my best friend, we had lunch here on Thanksgiving day. It was so crowded, but luckily, we only waited for around 10 minutes until we got seated. This place is lively with casual dining. They provide various congee, soup, appetizers, buns, dumplings, rice, vegetables, as well as drinks.Let's see what we tried!鮮蝦雲吞麵 / Signature Wunton Noodle Soup ($11.50)Their signature wonton noodle that consists of the thin and straight noodles with chasiu pork, wonton, green onions in a clear and savory soup. A comfort food indeeed!涼瓜牛肉煎米粉 / Beef Bitter Melon Pan-Fried Vermicelli ($16.95)This menu is unique! My first time trying this one. So, basically it is beef with bitter melon that are covered with the crunchy pan-fried vermicelli pancake. I'm not a fan of bitter melon, but this one is considered okay because it's not bitter.香酥蔥油餅 / Green Onion Pancake ($10.95)Oh.. This green onion pancake is full with green onions inside and crispy outside as well! Love it ❤️港式鴛鴦 / Hot Hong Kong Style Milk Tea with Coffee ($3.95)It can be served either hot or cold. We chose the hot one. If HK style milk tea is common, this one was our first time having it with coffee. The coffee taste blended well with the less sweet HK style milk tea. A good drink, especially during the cold weather!“
“Super delicious Vietnamese restaurant and I would highly recommend anything and everything on the menu. Ordered the Bun Thit Bo Xao (lemongrass beef noodles without broth) and mango salad (which includes pork belly and shrimp). The lemongrass beef was plentiful and super tender, a great fish sauce based dressing on the side and plenty of veggies and noodles to pair with the beef. The mango salad is a must get, tender and plump pork belly, snappy fresh shrimp, sweet succulent mangoes. I would come back anytime.“
“谢谢!Super yummy made fresh to order veggie dim sum options in the heart of Chinatown, veggie grub round here is far and few but this is worth a stop. I hauled the Vegetable and Shiitake Mushroom Bao's whilst on the move, great flavor but slightly pricey comparing to other joints in the area. It's certainly one of my new local go-to's, this place is a must as it offers incredible actual traditional Chinese treats at a great price.Support local businesses!“
“Incredibly delicious roasted meats, al-dente wanton noodles, flavorful soup and generous portions! There are no menus hanging on the walls so it may feel intimidating at first. The staff don't seem to speak english either, but if you talk to the friendly lady and ask for the menu, she speaks basic english and you just have to point to the item you want. I recommend the roasted duck noodles. Would definitely go out of my way to come back to Kam PO Kitchen!“
“- nothing fancy, never a line ..Not ‘FAST Food’. a little bit of patience cuz everything is steamed or stir-fry to order .. takes about 10 min for ur order to be ready ?Though place is a not ‘pack’ busy type .. they definitely have their stream of regulars coming in & out .. just a small mom/pop .. enough business for a 2-3 people operation ❣️“
“Awesome food, big portions, reasonably priced, attentive service. Dishes came out quick, piping hot and full of flavor. Ordered orange chicken, beef chow fun, honey walnut shrimp, fish and tofu clay pot, spicy stir fry green beans with minced pork, and BBQ fried rice . Every dish was amazing. Usually not a fan of green beans but they made it so well that now I'm a green bean fan. Beef chow fun has good number of beef slices. Would come again whenever visiting China town. Atmosphere nothing to rave about but who cares what it looks like when you're so focused on tasting every dish and deciding if you should order more to take home.“
“This place is AMAZING!!! We got the rose and carbonara tteokbokki and both were flavor bombs! The rose tteokbokki had a nice creamy consistency and slight kick (highly recommend adding sausages and mozzarella). The carbonara tteokbokki was literally one of best things I've ever had ~ it's creamy, flavorful, umami, and the bacon adds a nice texture! We also tried the so-tteok which was delicious! Highly recommend and will be back!!! Also the service is awesome ~ I think the owner took our order but he was so nice!!!“
“Great food especially the pumpkin curry , basil fried rice just was not so happy lately with the basil chicken as was all batter the last few times we had ordered.....first couple of times ordered it was actually nice portion of chicken and awesome!! Will try again sometime“
“Ordered the GuiLin Noodles which is one of the only non-spicy options. The noodles were amazing and perfectly textured and the beef came right off the giant bone they gave. The taste was amazing and very tender. The soup was also really good but just a tad bit salty. The staff was very friendly as well. The only thing bad is that when I went to the back to use the restroom, I saw flies around the tub of noodles they had.“
“You know you came here for the noodles, so don’t complain about the service or the waitress not asking how your day went. The wontons are good but the dumplings are even better. Their beef brisket over noodles are very good. The pork kidney and liver is also my favorite.“
“I got the spicy noodles with tofu and chicken. The food was overall good, but everything was drenched in sauce, there wasn’t anything to cut into the oily sauce, so I could only eat so much. The texture was also one note, I wish there were crunchy elements in this dish, it’s supposed to have peanuts but I found only a couple pieces. I would suggest maybe adding bokchoy and more crunch toppings.“
“A restaurant I always stop by when I'm on a business trip to San Francisco. It was nice that it was cheap and always open, but perhaps the owner passed away, so the business hours have been shortened. Although the price has increased a little, it is an exceptional price compared to surrounding prices. Stir-fried food and pho are delicious.“
“The restaurant was full at lunchtime on a Monday. There was a short wait before I was seated. I ordered a wonton soup $8 and a crispy tomato beef noodles $13.75. It took about five minutes for the soup to come out and another 15 minutes for the crispy noodles to arrive. The wontons were tasty with pieces of minced meat and shrimp. As for the crispy noodles, the chef messed it up. I asked for less sauce and it came out smothered. Most of the noodles were already soggy. There's no sense in ordering crispy noodles if the chef is going to do that. There's only one waitress for the entire restaurant. Service is slow but I don't blame her. Pro tip, the restroom key is tied to a tin can on the bakery counter.“
“Hon Wun Tun House might be modest in looks, but it's a heavyweight champ in the world of Chinese comfort food. Their duck wontons are the real MVP here—picture tender duck morsels wrapped in a delicate, thin skin, taking a swim in a broth that’s rich enough to start its own bank. These wontons could probably solve most of life's problems, or at least make you forget them while you’re dining. And if duck isn't your game, their classic pork and shrimp wontons are equally capable of winning your heart. Swing by for a taste; just don’t expect frills—unless you count the noodles!“
“Honestly, this is just about my favorite restaurant in Marin. Diner feel. Cozy and private pleather booths. Cuisines from all over Asia, Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese…But many of the dishes have their own, perfect twist. The papaya salad is the best I’ve ever had. No acidic tomatoes or whole green beans or huge Chunks of cabbage. Everything is shredded perfect and topped with fried onions and peanuts. I can’t stop eating it. Portions are huge, price is right“
“The chicken pho is distinctive here for its aromatic broth and the flavor of chicken meat. I haven't tasted the meat of the chicken itself in many years, as most establishments offer chicken that is either completely bland, fried, or over-seasoned. Here, the simple, slightly gamey flavor of fresh chicken shines through and it is delicious! The broth is rich and compliments the chicken and thin noodles (our preference over the wide noodles). The only accompaniments are slices of lemon and jalapeño and a tiny saucer of ginger scallion sauce. We were disappointed that the fried egg rolls did not resemble imperial rolls.“
“If you love traditional vietnamese with a homelike feel this is the place. Ive been coming regularly for 2 years, and now is normally super packed so i order to go, they are always kind and quick with the orders. Pho is espectacular and the small one is enough for 1 person. Never got tired of this place flavors.“
“Delicious momos... One of the best part of our San Francisco visit was to try all the authentic tastes of flavorful Momos from Momolicious. My best would be Kathmandu Jhol Momo and Fiery Momo. And not to forget the kwati soup on a rainy day. We literally filled our tummy tasting all the items on the menu whole day. And we are glad we did it .So proud of you Anup Bajracharya!! And kudos to the team. It was seriously finger licking good. Friends if you happen to be in San Francisco Bay area give it a try for this Nepalese cuisine.“
“It’s a long-standing & super famous restaurant in SF China town, and its fame is of no doubt honestly earned & lives up to. It’s a long drive from Bay Area but it’s 100% worth it. It is one of the very best Cantonese restaurants in Bay Area, I would even say it would make its name back in Canton Guangzhou. The menu selection is down to earth & truly authentic, no fancy fusion here, all real hometown food. Might be leaning towards a higher priceline, compared to China town average, but again, worth it. I would say, no specific recommendations on what to order, just order whatever you want, it won’t disappoint!Might have some limited street parking during the night but it can get difficult during the day, normal SF parking situation. Doesn’t hurt to park further and take a small stroll thu!“
“It's our last night of a business trip to San Francisco. We asked our taxi driver for a recommendation and he dropped us off there - we are glad he did. We weren't sure what to have, so the owner chose for us. We started with a chicken bao, then clam soup, fried rice paper rolls, pork spare ribs, prawn and beef with broccoli, catfish soup, and then finally, a chicken and prawn fried rice cooked at the table. My favourite was the clam soup. They make a really lovely not-too-sweet iced tea. I totally loved this dinner.“
