Its my go to order at a new spot and i usually have to adjust it with more fish sauce or chili Or add some vinegar but this was literally perfect! Good portions of meat too which i appreciate also. “Wear elastic pants. The portions are huge and you start off with soup and bread. We ordered so much food that I was stuffed but more kept coming from the kitchen.

The grilled chicken is delicious as is the picante de pollo. Service is good.“

Easy valet parking, cozy location on the marina, sleek seating with maritime decor, classic (and strong) drinks, and a quiet ambience -- all make it a standout in LA, where oftentimes the quality of the food outstrips all the other aspects of the dining experience. As for food: we liked all the seafood options we tried (sea bass, bouillabaise, sand daps), and the burger was thick and juicy. Remarkably, we spent three hours talking and enjoying our three-course meal, and the servers were friendly the whole time and didn't rush us. We will be back!“

I highly recommend trying:
* Tostaditos – Marlin pâté tostada topped with shrimp and octopus ceviche. So much flavor!
* Pescado Zarandeado – Grilled snook with house sauce, caramelized onions, and warm tortillas. Smoky, tender, and delicious.
* Ceviche de Pescado – Super fresh fish marinated in lemon with cucumber, tomato, onion & green chile. Refreshing and bright.
Pair it all with a lime margarita and a cold Modelo Negro and you’re set for an amazing meal. Can’t wait to come back!“

“Been to this place a couple of times before. It's totally a very casual vibe, the bartenders are unbelievably friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and not on the expensive side especially for what you get. We will continue to go back. Great selection of beer if that's what you are into.“

We had a reservation for 745pm they did not seat us until 817pm. They asked if we wanted to get a glass of wine while we wait which sounded liked they would comp it but they didn’t.
Our waiter checked in once, wasn’t super engaging, and was talking at the front of the restaurant with other staff for most of the time.

Food was really good which is why I gave it 4 stars vs 3. Particularly enjoyed the snapper. We also had the oxtail dumplings, crab cake and the strawberry dessert, all were very enjoyable“

“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. “I have been coming here for over 20 years!! This staple of the community provides affordable seafood. A total hidden gem, you must try the ceviche tostadas and cocktails. Cash only!

Parking: Parking is very limited, if you are lucky you can get a spot next to the place.“

“Let's get the cons out of the way. This restaurant is in a residential area so there is very limited parking. We parked about a 5 min walk away. Also the restaurant is behind a house and there is very limited signage. We asked a neighbor who was working in his front yeard who pointed is in the right direction a few houses down the street.

The minute we found the place it was a 5 star experience. Thankfully we beat the crowd on a Sunday early afternoon. There were two other parties laready seated and we were seated immediately. All the seating is outside but they have a series of umbrellas and tents cover around 2/3rd of the seating. If you come during a busy time you may get stuck in the sun so bring sunscreen or a hat if you're sensitive to sitting in the sun.

The waitress was very nice. She answered our questions about the menu, which was heavily in Spanish, and made some recommendations. We got Chicharrones de Pexcado and it was fabulous. 10 out of 10 absolutely recommend. It was the favorite of everyone in the group. Then we got the Green Apple ceviche and an assortment of tacos (shrimp and fish) including Marlin Tacos). Everything was really tasty and I would absolutely recommend checking it out.

All the food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was great service sizes for sharing and the cats who were running around were adorable but also stayed a cautious distance from the diners.“

“Came here on a birthdsy friendly date night recommend by my foodie girlfriend. First thing you'll notice is the ambiance, I loved it. Our service was excellent. Now, as a fine dinning chef myself we can get into the food.

The dumplings in curry sauce, very nice!
Baked Oysters, perfectly cooked, flavor profile, meh. Tuna Tostada, too small and under seasoned. Roast Pork, is so close to perfect. Cocnut rice was lovely as well. Drinks are creative and fun. Desserts were decent. The bad? Portion sizes are a joke. And it's likely you'll have to eat again, after already having eaten here.

My thoughts? Overall, a fun experience, especially as our server was awesome and honestly made some good suggestions. The food is fun, well executed and very creative. The decore and over all ambiance is dope. My compliments to the chef for having balls enough to push elevated cuisine in new directions. 🤌“
