“Amazing food! I haven’t had a good meal like that in a while! I recently checked out some of the well rated restaurants in LA, such as RVR and I have to say this is hands down superior. The food, the vibe, and the server was also very attentive and friendly. The portions are very small and I felt like for the price, they could be a little larger.

I went with a group of six, and we ordered a variety of dishes to share, giving me the chance to sample several entrees. My top picks were the ceviche marinero, langostinos, camarones a la diabla, and the tacos gobernador. The only area that could use some improvement was the service. Our waiter only checked in when we placed our order and when the food was delivered. We had to get up to request napkins and order additional drinks.“

I thought this was a mom and pop place, but it turns out they have at least six locations in the Southern California area. Go to their website and check it out. “We come here at least once a month. My usual go to is the mojarra frita, the seafood soup, the oysters and one of the shrimp dishes.

I really like the tostalitos with shrimp and octopus ceviche but that dish along with the other ceviche dishes including the new sashimi dish all have too much salt. Recommend ordering a side order of rice with any ceviche order to counter the salt.“

It’s romantic, it’s mind blowing delicious, it’s for people who like to experiment with flavors, like to try smth new and who is a foodie. They don’t make cocktails. The signature dish is definitely a snapper, that’s the main thing we coming here for, but EVERYTHING is super delicious, has a unique flavor. They know how to deliver, they know what they are doing. The food is really delicious
Cocktails are also delicious.
There is some cilantro in the pasta, but even I, who can't eat cilantro, can eat it comfortably, but if you don't like it so much, you will have to ask for it to be left out.
But when I went, there was a karaoke stage going on, so the atmosphere felt like a place where old men sing.
I think it would have been really nice if there were jazz or country songs.
I recommend it because I think the food will suit Korean tastes well.“

“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. I consider myself a foodie, and try as many different restaurants and cuisines as I can. “Blue SALT is absolutely best seafood in L.A. Not only do you get a generous portion of grilled fish or shrimp, but you get a choice of two sides and the price is super reasonable (hopefully they’ll keep it that way). Two of us paid $30 for a lot of great seafood. Two locations both amazing!!“

“I will like to give a shout out to the chef. I think his name is Shawn or Sean. When we got to Santa Monica, we looked up restaurants to go have our 26 year anniversary dinner, we stayed at Hotel Delmar right across the street. We googled the restaurant menu, and decided what we were going to have. when we got there, and they brought out the menus, all what we decided to have was not on there. I was crushed. Because I had my mind set on the Halibut. I said it's ok I will just have the Ribeye, mind you I had a ribeye steak the night before. When the waiter came back, my wife asked if it's possible to get the Halibut and he said let me check with the chef. He came back later and said the chef said it's no problem. I was blown away. That was the best Halibut ( besides mine) that I have ever had. Thank you chef Shawn. From one chef to another, thank you. you made my night.“

Not snapping pics—though I’ll definitely be back to capture it all! For seafood lovers, this spot is fresh, delicious, and fuss-free. Our server, Kay, was so friendly and guided us through the best picks on the early bird menu—great prices and amazing options! We had fresh oysters, shrimp crab cakes, crispy calamari, and irresistible parmesan fries. Oh, and the drinks? Absolute fire. Highly recommend!
