The arugula salad and shaved Brussels sprouts were fresh and light, really nice. The place is kid-friendly, which made it easy for the whole family to enjoy.“

Lots of the ingredients were foraged, including some of the seafood. The wines in the pairing were great, especially considering the price point of the pairing was very reasonable - for so many pours of wine. I understand that the menu is constantly changing - so I'm sure I'll be going back soon.“

“We have been doing take-out from here since opening at the Los Gatos location. The food has been amazing and very tasty. My favorite is the Von (pizza pie) and my wife loves the SOB (burger) although today she really enjoyed having the Spicy (chicken sandwich).

“If I’m in the mood for Pho or a Banh mi, this is the first place I head to. The broth of the pho is rich, flavorful and has clearly been simmering for hours. The Banh mi are made with the correct crunchy French bread, giving you a real substantial sandwich to wrap your lips around. The vegetables are always super fresh and crunchy too.“

“I've loved David Bruce wines for over 20 years now, I've been a club member on and off since then, been to a few events and release parties there, and I've ordered a whole lot of wine from them. I LOVE their wine. Their shipping and customer service bummed me out recently, however. I ordered some wine, it took 6 days from the time DB created the shipping label until it was in UPS's hands, and when I emailed DB both directly and via their contact form on their website, I got no reply.

I don't expect or demand utter perfection, life happens, but when you can't even be bothered to hit reply to an email, that's kind of a drag. Now, when I think about other holidays or events which I want to greet with a nice bottle of Pinot, I have to contemplate this and think about who is going to miss the birthday and not bother to even talk to me about it. It's a big market, why would I spend money at a place that won't even talk to me?

EDIT: May 2025. Wow. Just wow. Got a really thoughtful email this weekend from new management at David Bruce fully explaining what had gone awry, why, and how they are striving to improve. Wow. Most places would let this slide and hope time just fixed it. This is so incredibly heartening to see. This really is the David Bruce that I have known for years. Mistakes happen. True grace happens when people make it right, and they did. What else do we need?“

“Came for birthday dinner. Started with the burrata (special made w/ heirloom tomato, so good), crostini sampler and calabrese shrimp. All very tasty. Sampled some of the Italian IPA (who knew!) and also the primitivo (like zin) very good. Mains were the lamb (2 of us), tuna salad, meatballs and lasagne Lorenzo. Loved the lasagne, others were good. Lamb was just ok. The meat, mushrooms and polena were all woefully underseasoned (if at all)...had to ask for salt...and could barely detect the lemon or garlic. Deserts were good, but no espresso? ;0 Anyway, worth a try again in the future.“

“We had our Wedding Rehearsal Dinner here and while it was a little more expensive then we wanted it was truly worth it. Their staff were exceptionally courteous and very easy to work with during both the event and the arrangement process. The atmosphere is simply breathtaking there and our dinner in “The Cave” was magnificent both in terms of the food and wine, but the room itself was just so cool to eat dinner in. “I love the burgers and my wife loves the chicken sandwich. The food is verrry good. The only complaint I have is that sometimes I get cold soggy fries which is due to the workers pre making the little bags of fries and they just sit on the service line. If they are fresh, the garlic fries are the way to go with the brown sugar lemonade.“

“We’ve been to this places twice for wine tasting in the past but the bistro didn’t open at that time. So we went on Sunday for special Mother’s Day brunch and give it a try. My sister is their member so we can order five different entries from their set menu. We had Shakshuka , Benedict eggs, avocado and salmon with bread , duck fried rice and special charcuterie.
The taste of all dishes are amazing. The duck meat is very well seasoned so it is not gamey at all .Shakshuka tastes like the one we had in Jerusalem.

“This is my favorite spot for a sandwich and some coffee especially after a morning hike. My go-to recommendation is the Breakfast BLT. The bacon on it is mouthwatering delicious!! I’ve taken multiple friends and family here and they’ve all become fans too. If you’re already exploring Los Gatos, Purple Onion Café is absolutely worth the pit-stop.“

“Had a craving for pizza and decided to go to Mountain Mike's because one of my buddy's family owns some in a different area and raves about them.
The owner at this location is great. I made a mistake on the order ordering half/half pikes peak and both and he called immediately to double check. Then later when we went to pick up the pizza, he offered to make us another one because we were late to pick it up (our fault). Unbeatable service. The pizza itself was very crispy and their renowned crispy, curly pepperoni didn't disappoint.
If you're a fan of Mountain Mike's, can't beat this location.
